"Two weeks," Snow Jiang muttered softly, brushing an invisible speck of dust from her sleeve. "Let's see how long you can keep hiding, Adrian Qinn."
Her reflection in the mirror stared back at her.
The woman in the mirror wore a soft beige dress with gold embroidery traced delicately around the sleeves and waist. The color made her skin appear even fairer, and the small pearl earrings dangling from her ears gave her the appearance of a gentle newlywed wife.
Harmless. Soft. Easy to bully.
Snow Jiang's lips curved upward. 'Perfect.'
She picked up her handbag from the vanity table and walked out of the room.
The moment she stepped into the hallway, two maids standing nearby lowered their heads in greeting. "Mrs. Qinn."
Snow gave them a sweet smile. "Is Grandma downstairs?"
"Yes, Old Madam Qinn is waiting for you in the living room."
Snow nodded and walked toward the stairs.
