Noctis moved beneath Judicael's lower guard before the white-gold pressure accumulating inside the blade-scepter could fully emerge from its inner channel. His shortened blood-forged sword remained in his right hand, compact enough that Aurelion could not gain the same leverage against his wrist if Bell pressure disrupted the limb again, while two Bloodfang Reapers stayed drawn close beside his shoulders instead of returning to their wider orbit. The adjustment reduced the number of moving paths available to the surviving mirror plates, which had already recorded enough of the Reapers' previous behavior to begin preparing anchor ridges and severance borders before the constructs committed to a route. Beneath Noctis's damaged left gauntlet, the lightning arrow he had prepared continued gathering around the opened palm while Genesis Vessel held the torn tissue together without wasting circulation trying to restore the injury completely in the middle of the exchange.
Aurelion did not abandon Radiant Verdict to stop him. The surviving mirror plates surrounding Judicael rotated in ordered increments as the blade-scepter remained caught between Noctis's approach and Ghorvath's pressure from the opposite side, with the lower plates tracking the shortened sword, both Reapers, his injured legs, and the Genesis Step routes he had already used. The higher mirrors remained angled toward deeper targets, their correction centered on the Genesis Core and the old soul-vessel scar beneath Noctis's sternum even though neither was exposed physically. Beneath the guard, the damaged Bell structure continued sending measured vibrations through Judicael, each pulse attempting to separate the timing of Noctis's muscles, reinforcement, and circulation by fractions that became dangerous when combined with the weapon's other systems.
Malgoryth continued pressing Ghorvath against the outer side of Judicael. Black-red rift pressure crowded the point where the axe met the blade-scepter and forced Aurelion to support the weapon laterally while maintaining the developing Soul Declaration through its center, preventing him from directing every intact support channel toward Noctis at once. The pressure did not make Malgoryth an ally, and Noctis did not treat the opening as one created for him, but the physical effect remained useful. Aurelion's damaged wrist, inner elbow, shoulder, and collarbone conduit all had to share the additional burden while his cracked halo spoke lagged behind the others during each correction.
Noctis released the lightning arrow before the next Bell interval completed. The blood-forged projectile crossed the short distance beneath the lower guard and struck the exposed section of the Bell channel, where its outer form broke apart against the sanctified construction while the contained lightning entered the structure behind it. The discharge did not destroy the channel, but it altered the next vibration enough that the pulse intended for Noctis's right wrist arrived late and with less uniform pressure than the system had prepared. He used that missing interval immediately instead of waiting to see whether the disruption would last.
The Reaper beside his right shoulder rotated downward and struck the damaged mirror cluster from outside the surviving severance border. Its curved edge entered the weakened section near the plate's base and forced the surface several degrees away from the angle it had been using to follow his sword arm, but the nearest anchor ridge reacted before the construct could withdraw. White-gold barbs closed around the Reaper's inner curve and began locking the blood-metal against Judicael's underside, using the same principle that had already allowed the trial structures to punish attempts to pull away from them. Noctis dissolved the construct instead of resisting the hold, burning the portion already contaminated by severance pressure rather than allowing hostile sanctity to return through Sovereign Arsenal with the remaining essence.
The second Reaper moved through the space created by the first. It struck the fractured base of the anchor ridge that had caught its counterpart and allowed itself to be captured when the remaining barbs closed around it, because Noctis no longer needed the weapon to escape intact. Sovereign Arsenal flattened the trapped Reaper into several narrow blood-metal lengths that pressed against the existing fracture from different directions, turning the anchor's own closing pressure against its weakened support. One section snapped immediately under the divine restraint, but the other two widened the damage enough to shift the remaining barbs away from the lower seam Noctis had opened during the previous exchange.
He entered that seam with the shortened sword. The blood-forged point passed between the damaged structures and met the reinforced interior of Judicael before Aurelion could rotate the guard shut, allowing Crimson Omen Sight to follow the movement of white-gold pressure behind the physical surface. The next Bell vibration reached Noctis through the sword itself, traveling along the contact and disturbing the order in which his thumb, wrist, elbow, and shoulder attempted to maintain pressure. His grip began changing according to the previous movement instead of the current one, but Doctrine of Absolute Sovereignty corrected the sequence from the Genesis Core outward and restored the arm before the mismatch could wrench the blade from his hand.
Noctis increased pressure through the sword without expanding the weapon. The lower seam opened only a few additional millimeters, but the brighter route behind it became clearer, showing the inner channel that had carried Aurelion's earlier white-gold buildup before Judicael compressed the surrounding trial systems into itself. The mirror cluster rotated around his blade while the lower guard shifted, and a severance border crossed the outer side of his right forearm before he could clear the movement entirely. Blood-forged armor separated along the contact, and a narrow cut opened beneath it before Genesis Vessel compressed the flesh and blood-fire removed the remaining sanctity from the damaged plates.
He withdrew the sword before Judicael could close around it. The gap vanished almost immediately as Aurelion restored the guard, but Noctis no longer needed to see it physically; Crimson Omen Sight had already mapped the channel and the pressure passing through it. The bright route was no longer accumulating only inside the weapon. Radiant Verdict had begun moving outward.
Aurelion rotated Judicael and recovered part of the angle Malgoryth had forced away from him. Ghorvath remained engaged, but the axe no longer displaced the blade-scepter as easily as it had during the first impact, and Aurelion compensated through his left arm while his damaged right wrist continued to support the central grip. The additional load passed through the shoulder and collarbone conduit before reaching the halo, causing the right wing-root to release another narrow stream of sanctity where the damaged attachment could no longer contain the entire flow. Aurelion shortened that wing rather than allowing the leak to widen and maintained Judicael despite the imbalance.
Noctis did not move toward the exposed wing-root. The structure forming in front of him had already become more important than another local injury to Aurelion's body, and every surviving mirror plate confirmed the change as they rotated away from the positions used to track ordinary weapon movement. Radiant Verdict emerged from the inner channel as a compressed white-gold declaration rather than a broad wave, its path narrowed by the guide plates and directed toward the center of Noctis's chest. Several mirrors remained focused on the Genesis Core and the old soul-vessel scar beneath his sternum, using the information gathered during the earlier trial phases to shape the route before the technique reached him.
Noctis shifted left using ordinary footwork. Radiant Verdict corrected before the movement completed, following the change in position while one damaged lower plate lagged behind the others and the higher mirrors compensated for the error. The declaration did not chase his surface position alone; its angle adjusted toward the internal route Judicael had identified, treating the old scar as the preferred point of sustained pressure even though it remained protected beneath his current defenses. The correction was fast enough that continuing to evade by ordinary steps would only change the line through which Aurelion approached the same target.
Noctis opened Genesis Step for less than a complete displacement. The route connected his current position toward a point behind Aurelion's weapon arm, but before the step could carry him through, the surviving mirrors changed their angles and a severance border formed across the expected exit. An anchor ridge extended toward the location his right leg would occupy after the transition, preparing to bind the lower body at the moment the displacement completed. Noctis terminated Genesis Step before it activated fully and absorbed the incomplete route through the damaged ankle and calves rather than allowing Judicael to dictate where he would emerge.
The strain tightened the joint but did not compromise his stance. Genesis Vessel reinforced the damaged tissue long enough for the leg to remain functional, and Noctis did not give the mirror array a second Genesis Step sample to refine. Radiant Verdict continued moving while the canceled displacement collapsed around him, narrowing toward the same sternum route as Aurelion redirected the surviving plates. Bell pressure entered beneath that guidance, disturbing the timing between Noctis's chest reinforcement and the muscles controlling his arms.
The declaration reached Aegis.
The impact compressed the defensive layer toward Noctis's armor and transferred god-level force through the sternum, shoulders, and supporting stance, but the holy structure did not pass through him. Radiant Verdict attempted to follow the reinforcement toward the old soul-vessel scar, using the mirror guidance to maintain its pressure where Judicael had identified the earlier structural weakness, yet the hostile sanctity encountered an evolved Genesis framework that no longer operated on the limits it had possessed before Noctis's ascension. The white-gold construction remained outside his vessel, pressing against the defense rather than establishing itself inside.
Aurelion corrected immediately. Several mirror plates tightened their angles around the point where Aegis had compressed most deeply, attempting to use that deformation as a guide toward the protected route beneath it. Radiant Verdict narrowed over the sternum, concentrating more of its force into a smaller contact area while the rest of the declaration remained connected to Judicael. The pressure increased, but the result remained external.
Noctis did not answer by building a thicker defensive layer around the target. Judicael had already demonstrated that any large redistribution of reinforcement became another input for the mirrors, so he kept Aegis stable and allowed the deeper Genesis resistance to handle the nature of the attack while the outer defense absorbed its physical pressure. The sanctified structure lost cohesion in small amounts wherever it tried to cross the boundary, dispersing along the defensive surface instead of entering the protected vessel. The old soul-vessel scar could still be targeted because Aurelion knew where it existed, but knowledge of that route no longer turned holy power into something capable of bypassing Noctis's ascended nature.
The next Bell pulse traveled through Radiant Verdict and reached the point of contact against Aegis. Noctis's right shoulder contracted before the chest reinforcement beneath it completed its adjustment, while the left forearm responded after Genesis Vessel had already altered pressure around the palm wound. The shortened sword lowered several centimeters as the grip and elbow moved according to slightly different timings, and the right side of his stance carried more weight than intended. Radiant Verdict compressed Aegis farther during the interruption but still failed to cross the defensive boundary.
That distinction became the center of the exchange. Aurelion possessed enough god-level output to force Noctis's defenses inward, enough precision to keep that force concentrated over a known structural weakness, and enough control through Judicael to combine the attack with timing disruption. What he did not possess was a holy nature that automatically overrode Noctis's evolved resistance. The danger came from sustained divine force and the possibility that Bell pressure might desynchronize enough systems at once to create a broader mechanical failure, not from sanctity burning through him because he remained a vampire.
Noctis stopped attacking Judicael with the sword. The local dismantling had already exposed the inner route and damaged several lower structures, but Radiant Verdict was now pressed directly against his defense while the remaining mirrors continued refining its alignment. Additional cuts would require movement that Bell pressure could exploit without changing the larger problem. He drew the sword close to his centerline and allowed the two Reapers to remain near his shoulders, reducing the number of active constructs the trial system needed to track.
Aurelion increased the supply through Judicael. White-gold pressure thickened behind the portion already compressed against Noctis, pushing Aegis closer to the blood-forged armor over the sternum while the mirror plates preserved the target. The increase transferred more force through Noctis's chest and into his legs, aggravating injuries that had not yet completely recovered from Judicael's descent. The holy structure itself still remained outside.
Genesis Vessel compressed the reopened tissue in his thigh after the increased load forced the wound apart beneath the armor. Blood moved down the inside of the leg before the vessel tightened the damaged area enough to stop further loss, while the ankle shifted under the redistribution and required Noctis to angle the rear foot differently to preserve balance. He allowed those physical corrections to occur without changing Aegis around the sternum. The attack could make him work harder to remain in place, but it could not use its holy nature to enter him.
The mirror plates recognized the foot adjustment and followed the movement, but they no longer needed to prepare every route he might take. Aurelion had already established the contact he wanted, and the surviving trial architecture began sacrificing broader battlefield control in favor of keeping Radiant Verdict aligned over one point. Bell pressure narrowed with the declaration, its vibrations entering through the same contact instead of spreading evenly around Judicael. The system had become less versatile and more concentrated.
Noctis recognized the change as soon as the next pulse arrived. His right arm weakened, his left shoulder responded late, and Aegis compressed another fraction under Radiant Verdict while the body corrected the mismatched timing. None of those effects individually threatened his vessel, but maintaining the defense while continuing to endure repeated timing interference would steadily consume attention and Genesis circulation. Destroying mirror plates one at a time would not end the declaration quickly enough.
The Genesis Halos behind him slowed.
Their normal synchronized rotation separated into distinct positions around the central axis as the systems required for Annihilation Trinity began occupying individual channels. Crimson, gold, and black structures shifted relative to one another, and the surrounding pressure changed enough to move loose stone and powder away from Noctis's feet without producing an uncontrolled release. He selected a confined operating region rather than the full extent available to the execution sequence, because the immediate objective occupied the space between himself and Judicael.
Aurelion increased Radiant Verdict's pressure as soon as the halos separated. The declaration thickened against Aegis and forced the defense inward while Bell vibration entered during the interval when Noctis's systems were being reorganized. One halo responded fractionally later than the others, and the right arm lost reinforcement quickly enough that the shortened sword lowered toward the damaged ground. Noctis allowed the arm to weaken rather than diverting the forming sequence to preserve a weapon that was not currently necessary.
Doctrine of Absolute Sovereignty maintained the internal order of the technique from the Genesis Core. Noctis's physical body could tolerate delayed responses for several moments as long as the five powers forming Trinity did not begin following the Bell's imposed rhythm. His right knee bent farther under the pressure, and the injured thigh carried less weight, but his core circulation continued preparing the execution sequence without changing its selected geometry. The sternum remained compressed under Aegis rather than penetrated.
Oblivion Rend established itself first.
Noctis did not release the technique as a traveling strike. Structural-collapse pressure spread through the selected region and began acting on weakened material already present within it, causing fractured stone beneath him to lose cohesion along existing breaks rather than exploding outward. The same principle established the first layer of Annihilation Trinity around the active Radiant Verdict route.
Crimson Crucible Tempest followed in a controlled configuration. Blood essence circulated through the confined region instead of expanding into a full battlefield storm, drawing loose sanctity and damaged residue away from the structures that would soon be exposed by the other components. White-gold traces left by Judicael's severance borders lifted from the broken ground and entered the circulating flow rather than remaining available for Aurelion's influence. The system remained dense and close to the actual confrontation.
Divine Inversion Halo aligned next. The relationship among the Genesis Halos changed as the divine component entered the forming sequence, and sanctity residue inside the selected region immediately began losing compatibility with Aurelion's structure. The affected white-gold fragments changed before the Crucible removed them, preventing them from returning to the divine weapon in the same state. Radiant Verdict remained pressed against Aegis, but its outer edges were now occupying a region increasingly hostile to the way its sanctity was organized.
Abyssal Genesis Dominion formed without expanding into its broader battlefield configuration. Black pressure occupied the spaces between the other components while only the chains and stabilizing structures necessary to maintain the relationship among them appeared. Noctis did not need Dominion to control kilometers of terrain or restrict an army; he needed its opposing pressure inside a tightly defined annihilation region. The selected structures remained compressed around the active declaration.
Purity Inversion Flames completed the balance. Black-crimson fire appeared where altered sanctity and abyssal pressure approached unstable contact, consuming incompatible residue before it could disrupt the relationship among the systems Noctis was combining. The flames remained contained instead of spreading beyond Trinity's selected area. The Genesis Halos increased their rotation as the five components approached synchronization.
Radiant Verdict continued forcing Aegis inward throughout the formation. Aurelion supplied more power through Judicael and used the surviving mirrors to keep the declaration centered over the old soul-vessel route, exploiting the interval before Trinity had become one complete structure. The attack compressed the defense until white-gold pressure stood only a short distance from the blood-forged armor over Noctis's sternum. Even then, the sanctity failed to establish itself inside his vessel.
Bell pressure struck during the final alignment.
One Genesis Halo lagged relative to the others, forcing Divine Inversion to arrive after Oblivion Rend instead of immediately behind it. Purity Inversion Flames increased automatically to control the resulting instability where sanctity and abyssal pressure touched without the intended intermediate conversion. The correction increased the load through Noctis's Genesis Core and weakened his right arm until the sword point touched the ground.
His fingers remained closed around the hilt, but he did not waste circulation trying to lift the weapon. The Bell could interfere with muscle timing and even disturb the order in which reinforcement reached a limb, but Doctrine of Absolute Sovereignty prevented those physical delays from becoming the reference rhythm for Trinity. Oblivion Rend remained the timing anchor while Divine Inversion returned toward its correct interval. Abyssal Genesis reduced slightly until Purity Inversion no longer needed to compensate beyond the sequence's intended balance.
Malgoryth's pressure reacted before Trinity completed.
The black-red field surrounding Ghorvath began losing structure where it overlapped the selected region, starting at the outer edge nearest Noctis and moving toward the axe. Malgoryth reduced his force against Judicael instead of allowing the developing annihilation sequence to continue stripping the pressure from his weapon, then pulled Ghorvath backward and withdrew beyond the boundary. He stopped outside the selected radius and rebuilt the lost rift pressure only after the axe had cleared the region completely.
The withdrawal removed the lateral force that had kept Judicael slightly off-angle. Aurelion corrected immediately, rotating the blade-scepter into cleaner alignment with Noctis and allowing the mirror plates to tighten Radiant Verdict over the sternum route again. The white-gold declaration pressed harder as the weapon regained control, but the movement also shifted greater weight into Aurelion's already damaged right wrist and collarbone support. His right wing-root leaked another narrow stream of sanctity while the wing folded closer to reduce the strain.
Noctis remained in place.
Another Genesis Step would only give Judicael an opportunity to prepare the exit, and ordinary movement could not remove a declaration already pressed against his defense. The correct answer no longer depended on escaping the line. It was almost complete around him.
The final Bell pulse before synchronization entered through Radiant Verdict and changed one halo's timing by less than a full interval. Noctis's left shoulder tightened late, his right knee lowered, and the shortened sword remained supported partly by the ground while the Genesis Core absorbed the correction. Doctrine restored the sequence from the center outward, refusing to let the physical disruption determine the technique's internal order. The halos aligned again.
Annihilation Trinity stabilized.
Radiant Verdict began failing immediately.
The broad white-gold structure pressing against Aegis lost cohesion where it occupied the completed annihilation region, its outer layers weakening before Aurelion could reinforce them through Judicael. Oblivion Rend attacked the structure that allowed the declaration to remain coherent, and Divine Inversion reached the exposed sanctity before the next mirror correction could restore the same relationship. What separated from the central line ceased functioning as part of Radiant Verdict.
Crimson Crucible Tempest removed those fragments. The circulating blood essence drew the separated pressure away before Judicael could reconnect it, while Abyssal Genesis occupied the resulting openings and prevented the divine construction from simply reforming in the same space. Purity Inversion Flames consumed unstable residue where Aurelion's sanctity attempted to reestablish itself against the opposing structures. The five powers did not take turns attacking Radiant Verdict as separate techniques; they remained synchronized within one execution sequence and dismantled different parts of the same divine construction as it entered the field.
The pressure against Aegis receded.
Noctis did not push his defense outward. He maintained the same posture and allowed Trinity to remove the declaration instead of spending additional power trying to force a physical separation. The distance between the white-gold pressure and the sternum increased as Radiant Verdict lost the structure required to keep Aegis compressed.
Aurelion answered with more sanctity.
The inner channel of Judicael brightened as divine pressure moved through the blade-scepter and into the surviving declaration. Radiant Verdict thickened behind the portion being destroyed and momentarily slowed the visible retreat, but the additional material entered the same completed annihilation structure. Its outer layers weakened, inverted, separated, and disappeared in the same sequence as those before them.
The increased output did not push Trinity backward.
Aurelion supplied enough power to keep the central connection intact, but every attempt to restore the broader form of Radiant Verdict required replacing structure that Trinity was already destroying faster than Judicael could stabilize it. The attack remained god-level in force and complexity, yet the nature of the contest had changed the moment Noctis completed his execution sequence. Aurelion was no longer trying to force his declaration through Noctis's body; he was trying to maintain the declaration itself inside an annihilation field designed to destroy divine and sanctified structure among other forms of power.
The mirror plates adjusted to that reality. Several rotated away from wider coverage and narrowed the surviving Verdict line, reducing the amount of sanctity exposed to Trinity at any one time. Aurelion stopped trying to maintain the declaration as a broad pressure against Noctis's chest and concentrated it into a thinner channel aimed toward the same sternum route. The resulting line survived longer than the wider structure because Judicael could focus more reinforcement through it.
Noctis watched the change through Crimson Omen Sight. The central channel remained continuous from Judicael to the point where Radiant Verdict contacted Trinity, but the broader pressure that had once surrounded it had nearly disappeared. Aurelion's correction made the technique more efficient, not stronger than Trinity, and every additional section entering the field still began losing structure immediately. The declaration survived because Judicael continued feeding it, not because it had found a way through Noctis's defense.
Bell pressure entered the narrowed connection.
The vibration disturbed Noctis's right shoulder and changed one halo's rotational timing by a fraction, delaying Divine Inversion long enough for the incoming white-gold line to survive several moments longer than before. Radiant Verdict regained a small amount of distance toward Aegis while Aurelion increased support behind the temporary opening. The declaration touched the defensive layer again but still failed to penetrate.
Doctrine corrected the halo sequence.
Divine Inversion returned to its proper interval, and the sanctity that had recovered ground began losing compatibility almost immediately. Oblivion Rend had already weakened the structure, allowing the other components to remove the regained section before it could restore the earlier compression against Noctis's chest. Radiant Verdict receded again.
Aurelion changed the Bell interval. The next vibration reached Trinity sooner and disrupted several Abyssal Genesis stabilizing structures while the previous physical delay had not fully cleared. One chain shifted into the Crucible flow and lost part of its structure, while another extended too close to the white-gold channel and disappeared at the point of contact.
Noctis reduced the Dominion configuration instead of rebuilding every lost structure. Several unnecessary chains withdrew, leaving only those required to preserve the spatial relationship among the Trinity components in the immediate region. The smaller configuration reduced the number of structures available for Bell pressure to desynchronize while preserving the opposing abyssal function Trinity needed. Purity Inversion output dropped with it, reducing the burden on the Genesis Core.
The next Bell pulse affected his left shoulder and sword arm but failed to disturb Trinity's central order. The shortened sword lowered again as the arm responded late, and Noctis allowed the point to rest against the damaged ground rather than directing reinforcement toward a movement that did not matter. The Genesis Halos continued rotating at the corrected interval. Radiant Verdict kept shrinking.
Aurelion sent another surge through Judicael. White-gold pressure expanded behind the narrow channel and entered Trinity in a concentrated wave, but the outer portion began disappearing before it crossed half the distance to Noctis. The newly supplied sanctity did not reinforce the central line quickly enough to restore the earlier width, and the declaration remained reduced to a narrow connection. Its purpose had shifted from penetrating Noctis to maintaining continuous pressure while the Bell searched for a synchronization failure.
Noctis did not increase Trinity's output. The execution sequence already held the advantage, and forcing additional power through the Genesis Core would create more strain without changing the result. He maintained the existing relationship among the five components and allowed Aurelion's repeated reinforcements to continue entering a structure they could not overpower. The physical injuries in his arm and leg could recover gradually while the larger contest remained stable.
Genesis Vessel repaired the narrow forearm cut and restored the damaged thigh as circulation became available between Bell interruptions. The ankle remained tight from the canceled Genesis Step and the repeated weight shifts, but it supported his stance without requiring extraordinary reinforcement. These injuries belonged to the physical battle around Judicael and its severance structures, not to Radiant Verdict. The holy declaration remained outside his body.
The pressure over the sternum eased further as the central channel narrowed. Aegis returned closer to its normal position without Noctis actively expanding it, and his chest could move more freely under the armor. The old soul-vessel scar remained protected beneath the defense, identified by Judicael but untouched by the sanctity that had been directed toward it. Noctis continued treating it as a sensitive route because Aurelion's targeting remained precise, but there was no divine residue inside it.
The cracked halo spoke behind Aurelion lagged during another increase in output. One surviving mirror plate received its reinforcement later than the others and changed angle several degrees after the declaration had already begun correcting, causing Radiant Verdict to move across Aegis instead of remaining centered over the sternum. The contact point shifted toward Noctis's right side. His underlying resistance handled the new location without requiring a major defensive redistribution.
Aurelion corrected the plate. The channel returned toward the old target, but Trinity removed more of its outer structure during the movement. Each adjustment now carried a cost because the declaration had so little excess material remaining around the central connection. Noctis continued observing the supporting systems rather than responding to the shifting contact.
The external Verdict had reached a predictable state.
Aurelion could supply more sanctity, and Trinity destroyed the excess.
The mirrors could change the angle, and Trinity continued dismantling the divine structure along the new route.
The Bell could delay one component, and Doctrine restored synchronization before Radiant Verdict could do more than briefly recover external ground.
None of those actions produced penetration.
Noctis began shifting the emphasis of the annihilation field forward.
The first adjustment was small, moving the strongest interaction several centimeters away from Aegis and farther along the active Radiant Verdict connection. The declaration reacted immediately as the section closer to Judicael began losing structure before reaching the position where Trinity had previously been consuming it. Aurelion increased supply to preserve continuity, but that new sanctity entered the annihilation region sooner and disappeared farther from Noctis.
The pressure against Aegis weakened again.
Noctis extended the selected region another short distance along the white-gold channel without changing its width or adding another technique. The same Annihilation Trinity simply occupied more of the connection Aurelion was using to sustain Radiant Verdict. As the field advanced, the declaration's remaining distance to Noctis shortened from the opposite direction.
Aurelion recognized the shift and rotated Judicael away. The surviving mirror plates changed angles to preserve the connection while the lower guard moved farther from the advancing field, and the white-gold channel bent with the weapon rather than breaking. Noctis did not follow physically. The active declaration itself defined the route Trinity needed.
The field followed that route.
The nearest surviving mirror plate entered the forward edge of Annihilation Trinity.
Its reaction differed from the free-standing Radiant Verdict. The plate carried physical and divine reinforcement directly from Judicael, allowing it to resist the first structural-collapse cycle without losing its entire surface. Oblivion Rend began weakening the lower border, but the plate remained attached while Aurelion increased support through the weapon.
Divine Inversion reached the exposed sanctity next. Sections of the reinforcement lost compatibility with the larger divine system, forcing Judicael to replace the altered pressure if the plate was to maintain its angle. Crimson Crucible Tempest removed what separated before those fragments could return to the weapon. The plate survived, but maintaining it became more expensive.
Its guidance shifted several degrees.
Radiant Verdict moved across Aegis as the plate attempted to preserve the sternum route despite the damage to its lower border. The declaration still failed to enter Noctis, and the reduced accuracy meant Aurelion had to rely more heavily on the remaining mirrors farther up Judicael. Those surfaces rotated inward to compensate, sacrificing some of their previous awareness of the Reapers and Genesis Step routes.
Noctis did not use the abandoned openings. Trinity had already changed the battle into one where movement mattered less than the support line in front of him, and forcing Judicael to concentrate its surviving systems on a failing declaration benefited him more than exploiting a temporary route for another weapon strike. His Reapers remained close, and the shortened sword stayed lowered beside his right leg. The Genesis Halos continued rotating at the reduced, stable rate.
A Bell pulse reached him through the surviving Verdict channel. It delayed Divine Inversion for less than one complete interval and allowed the damaged mirror plate to rebuild part of its lower border before the next collapse cycle. Aurelion supplied additional sanctity through the opening and restored the plate's angle temporarily. The correction lasted only until Doctrine returned Trinity to full synchronization.
The rebuilt section began disappearing again.
Oblivion Rend removed cohesion from the new reinforcement before it had fully integrated with the rest of the plate, and Divine Inversion followed through the exposed sanctity. Crimson Crucible Tempest stripped away the weakened fragments. The lower border thinned once more.
Aurelion continued feeding power into the mirror.
The blade-scepter's right-side support reacted to the increased burden. His wrist shifted under Judicael's weight, forcing his left hand to accept more of the weapon while the inner elbow compensated and the shoulder rotated to preserve the guard. White-gold pressure became visible beneath the collarbone armor as the damaged conduit carried more than it had during the previous exchange. The right wing-root leaked again.
Noctis kept Trinity focused on the plate and the declaration it supported. He did not increase the radius toward Aurelion's body or Malgoryth's position, because neither was part of the immediate objective. The confined field consumed only what entered the selected region. Malgoryth remained several meters outside it with Ghorvath held ready and the rebuilt rift pressure kept completely beyond the boundary.
The mirror plate lost another section.
The guidance angle weakened enough that Radiant Verdict moved away from the center of Noctis's sternum and pressed across a broader portion of Aegis. The change reduced the force concentrated over the old soul-vessel route, allowing the defensive layer there to return almost completely to its normal position. Noctis did not redistribute the recovered reinforcement, preventing the mirrors from using the change to map another defensive reaction.
Aurelion redirected a second plate to compensate.
The new surface turned toward Noctis's Genesis Core and attempted to narrow the declaration again, but the act of moving it into the support route placed part of the plate inside Trinity's forward boundary. Its reinforcement was less damaged than the first plate's, and it resisted longer when Oblivion Rend reached the outer edge. Judicael fed both structures simultaneously.
That increased supply did not restore Radiant Verdict.
The declaration remained narrow and unable to regain significant ground, while Trinity forced Aurelion to spend more divine output simply maintaining the systems that kept it continuous. The exchange was no longer testing whether holy pressure could penetrate Noctis. It was testing how long Judicael could preserve a divine channel while the execution sequence dismantled everything supporting it.
Bell pressure continued trying to alter that outcome.
A shorter pulse reached Noctis through Radiant Verdict and disrupted the timing of his right leg, causing the injured ankle to fold inward enough that he shifted weight to the opposite side. The Genesis Halos did not follow the same disruption. Doctrine had reduced the connection between ordinary body timing and the execution sequence enough that the Bell could disturb movement without destabilizing Trinity.
Noctis corrected his stance after the pulse passed. Genesis Vessel tightened the ankle and reinforced the previously reopened thigh without producing a large surge around the sternum or Genesis Core. The response remained localized and controlled. Judicael's mirrors gained little from it.
The first mirror plate fractured.
A pale line crossed the surface from the weakened lower border toward its attachment point as Oblivion Rend continued removing structure while Divine Inversion interfered with every replacement layer. Aurelion shifted the plate closer to Judicael to reduce its exposure, but doing so changed the angle enough that it could no longer provide the same guidance toward Noctis. The second plate attempted to accept more of the correction burden.
Radiant Verdict drifted again.
The declaration remained outside Aegis and weakened further as the forward edge of Trinity continued moving toward Judicael. The amount of white-gold power existing freely between them had become a fraction of what Aurelion had first released. Nearly everything newly supplied entered the annihilation field shortly after leaving the weapon.
Noctis followed the active route through Crimson Omen Sight.
Radiant Verdict led back through the damaged mirror system, crossed the lower Bell channels, and entered the same inner conduit he had exposed earlier beneath Judicael's guard. The physical path was now clearer because Aurelion had concentrated most of the surviving trial architecture around it. By trying to preserve the declaration, Aurelion had gathered the remaining systems around the route Trinity was already approaching.
Noctis extended the field farther.
The first mirror plate failed completely. Its fractured attachment separated from Judicael, and the detached pieces immediately lost the reinforcement required to remain part of the guidance system. Crimson Crucible Tempest pulled the resulting sanctity into the field while Divine Inversion prevented the separated divine structure from reconnecting.
The second plate remained.
Its reinforcement increased as Aurelion shifted more support through it, but the surface was now carrying the correction load previously shared between multiple structures. Every small loss required a more immediate replacement, and its angle changed more frequently as it tried to maintain the white-gold channel. Radiant Verdict continued surviving as a line, but its guidance became less stable.
Noctis maintained Trinity without accelerating.
The advantage no longer required greater output. Aurelion's own need to keep the declaration continuous was forcing Judicael to feed additional divine structure into a region where the execution sequence held the superior interaction. The correct response was to continue applying the same pressure until the support system failed.
The Bell structure attempted another disruption. A vibration traveled through the narrowed channel and disturbed Noctis's left forearm and shoulder, but the reduced Dominion lattice and stabilized halos prevented the pulse from changing Trinity's central relationship. Radiant Verdict did not recover any meaningful distance. The attack remained unable to compress Aegis as it had before synchronization.
The damaged mirror cluster beneath Judicael became exposed behind the remaining plate. Noctis could see the fractures left from his earlier Reaper attack, the missing anchor barbs, and the broken support around the Bell channel through Crimson Omen Sight even before Trinity reached them. Those structures had survived only because the broader weapon-field had previously divided pressure among them. Now they stood directly along the path supporting Radiant Verdict.
Aurelion tried to move Judicael farther back.
The blade-scepter rotated and lifted, pulling the lower guard away while the surviving mirrors adjusted to keep the white-gold channel connected. His damaged right wrist failed to maintain the original angle for several centimeters before the left arm and shoulder corrected, increasing pressure through the collarbone conduit and forcing the right wing closer to his body. The cracked halo spoke lagged farther during the rapid redistribution.
Noctis did not pursue with his feet.
The field followed Radiant Verdict.
The active white-gold connection remained continuous between Judicael and the annihilation region, and that continuity provided Trinity with the route it needed. The physical distance increased, but the selected field advanced along the divine channel rather than across empty space. Aurelion could move the weapon without escaping the technique as long as he continued feeding the declaration.
Malgoryth shifted his position outside the boundary as Judicael moved. Ghorvath remained raised in both hands, and the black-red pressure surrounding it stopped short of the annihilation region. He did not attack Noctis, nor did he reenter the contest against Aurelion. His stance remained prepared for either combatant while the direct clash continued without him.
The second mirror plate began losing its outer border.
Oblivion Rend weakened the divine construction, Divine Inversion altered the exposed sanctity, and the reduced Crucible flow removed detached material before it could be replaced. Aurelion continued feeding the plate, but the added power no longer restored its earlier precision. The surface shifted farther from the required guidance angle.
Radiant Verdict became thinner again.
Aegis returned fully to its normal position over most of Noctis's chest. Only a narrow white-gold line remained under sustained pressure near the sternum, and even that contact failed to create more than external compression against his ascended defense. The old soul-vessel scar remained protected beneath the intact boundary.
Noctis allowed himself one deeper breath as the pressure eased. The right side of the chest still carried soreness from earlier physical impacts and the repeated compression of Aegis, but nothing foreign occupied the vessel beneath it. Genesis Vessel continued repairing those ordinary battle injuries in the background. He kept the breathing controlled so the mirror system would not receive another large circulation change.
The second plate fractured.
Aurelion drew it closer to Judicael in an attempt to preserve the attachment, sacrificing another portion of its guidance angle. The movement exposed the already damaged lower mirror cluster behind it. Trinity continued advancing.
Noctis did not need to change the technique.
The execution sequence had established the result he needed. Radiant Verdict itself was losing continuously, and the structures feeding it were entering the same annihilation mechanics one after another. He maintained the selected radius, the reduced Dominion configuration, the controlled Crucible flow, and the synchronization established by Doctrine of Absolute Sovereignty.
The lower edge of the damaged mirror cluster entered Trinity.
Its response was weaker than that of the intact plates.
Fractures widened almost immediately under Oblivion Rend because the structure had already lost part of its support during the previous exchange, and Divine Inversion reached deeper sanctity without first having to remove a complete outer layer. A severance border attached to the cluster flickered as its reinforcement changed compatibility. The remaining anchor ridge shifted inward in an attempt to protect the lower route.
Aurelion increased support through the cluster.
White-gold pressure filled the damaged structures, but the additional sanctity entered Trinity along with them and gave the execution sequence more exposed divine material to act upon. The cluster remained attached, though its lower surface began breaking apart. The surviving Bell route behind it brightened as Aurelion attempted to preserve both systems simultaneously.
Noctis maintained pressure.
The declaration between them remained reduced to a narrow line.
The first sections of the damaged mirror cluster began disappearing.
Aurelion continued feeding Judicael.
The lower guard shifted under the strain.
Malgoryth remained outside the selected region.
Noctis's shortened sword stayed lowered beside his right leg while the Reapers held close to his shoulders, neither construct needed while Trinity continued accomplishing the task more efficiently than another physical attack could. Aegis had returned to its normal position, and the old soul-vessel scar beneath the sternum remained intact despite having been the focus of Radiant Verdict from the moment it left Judicael.
The white-gold declaration had failed to enter him.
Now the execution sequence surrounding Noctis was moving steadily back through the path that had carried it.
Oblivion Rend continued removing the structure that held Radiant Verdict together.
Divine Inversion continued breaking the sanctity supporting it.
Crimson Crucible Tempest continued taking away what separated.
Abyssal Genesis remained inside the openings.
Purity Inversion continued stabilizing the opposing systems.
The damaged lower mirror cluster lost another section.
Aurelion reinforced it again.
Trinity continued advancing.
Noctis remained motionless within the selected field as the active Radiant Verdict connection shortened between them, leaving progressively less divine structure outside Judicael itself. The attack that had been aimed toward his old soul-vessel route remained locked outside his ascended defenses, while the combined execution sequence he had formed under its pressure continued traveling toward the weapon responsible for maintaining it.
