Hearing this, Tang Chen looked at Hu Liena for a brief moment. He felt no shock at all that she had won ninety-three matches in just over a year. The great resources given by Spirit Hall and the personal lessons from Bibi Dong were things that normal people could never dream of having. Tang Chen simply gave a soft grunt to show he heard her, and then he gave an order in a perfectly flat voice.

Help me sign up for the next match right now.

The female guide was shocked once more when she heard this request. She stared at Tang Chen with wide, surprised eyes. She had just watched the brutal and bloody fights in the Hell Slaughter Arena, and she had even seen a powerful fighter like Hu Liena perform.

Yet, this young newcomer did not show a single hint of fear or doubt. Instead, he asked to jump into the fight immediately with absolute calm. Did he not even need a single moment to adjust his mind or watch from the sidelines?

However, she was a professional and quickly regained her composure. In the dangerous place known as Slaughter City, the things that were never missing were foolish people who did not understand how vast the world was, and idiots who wanted to find their own deaths. Her only job was to give guidance and help the newcomers. As for whether other people lived or died, that had absolutely nothing to do with her.

I understand, please wait here for a moment while I handle the registration for you.

She nodded and put her standard, empty smile back on her face. Right after speaking, she turned around and her body quickly vanished into the loud and packed crowd of spectators.

Meanwhile, Hu Liena walked out of the arena while the crowd shouted wildly. The workers quickly came out to clean up the fighting ground. They dragged the dead bodies away and threw sand over the fresh blood on the floor. Their movements were highly practiced, and their faces looked completely numb to the violence.

It did not take long before the female guide walked back to Tang Chen and spoke to him in a very low voice.

Everything is ready for you. Your match is a ten-person battle, and you are one of the fighters. You can enter the arena through that dark tunnel over there.

She pointed her finger toward a dark opening located underneath the main viewing stands. Tang Chen nodded his head and did not say another word. He picked up his golden dragon spear and walked directly toward the dark entrance.

The tunnel was very dark and smelled like a terrible mix of rust and old blood. At the very end of the walkway stood a very heavy iron gate. Suddenly, a deep bell rang from the outside area. This sound meant that the previous match was totally over and the next fight was about to start.

The heavy iron gate began to lift up slowly. Tang Chen held his golden dragon spear tightly and stepped forward, moving out of the dark shadows and into the bright glare of the spirit guidance lights. The moment he stepped onto the field, the loud roar of the massive crowd swallowed him completely.

The fighting area was a giant circular ground covered in dark red sand, and one could still see the faint stains of blood that had not been fully cleaned. Around the field, nine other fighters were already standing in their spots. They all looked very different from one another.

Some were tall and looked like fierce monsters, some were short and looked very wicked, some stood in complete silence with cold eyes, and others were busy licking the sharp edges of their weapons. However, every single one of them looked at Tang Chen with greedy, mean, and judging eyes because he was a new face. Their eyes stayed for a long time on the golden dragon spear in his hand, which held a hidden but brilliant light.

Standing right at the edge of the large arena, Tang Chen remained calm as his eyes swept over his nine opponents. At some point during his walk, he had already placed a scary ghost god mask over his face. His long blue hair seemed to glow with a faint, ghostly light under the red aura of the stadium lights.

The ten-person battle was finally ready to begin.

The match starts now!

The voice of the referee had barely echoed through the air, and before the people in the crowd could even focus their eyes on the blue-haired newcomer wearing the ghost god mask, several sharp and painful screams broke out from the arena floor. It felt as if the light and shadows in the room had bent for a split second, or perhaps a bolt of golden lightning that a human eye could not track had shot across the entire distance of the field.

A series of terrible noises cut through the air. There were sharp sounds of metal tearing through soft flesh, the heavy cracking of bones breaking apart, and the short, painful cries of men who were dying in an instant. Right after that, nine large bodies fell to the ground with loud thuds in different directions, sending clouds of dust into the air. They all fell near the very spots where they had been standing just moments before.

Some of the fighters had their throats cut wide open, with dark blood spraying out like water from a fountain. Others had giant, terrifying holes blasted into their chests, making their internal organs visible to anyone looking. A few had their necks twisted at completely unnatural angles. In the dead eyes of these fallen fighters, the anger and confusion from just a second ago were still frozen in place.

The attack was simply too fast. From the very start to the absolute end, only two or three seconds had passed.

The entire Hell Slaughter Arena fell into a short, heavy, and dead silence. Every single spectator on the stands, whether they were the wild killers who had been screaming just a moment ago or the hidden powerhouses watching from the dark corners, opened their mouths wide and stared down at the field in total disbelief.

Nine brutal fighters who had fought hard to stay alive in Slaughter City, whose hands were covered in the blood of many victims, and who were definitely not weak masters, had just died like that. The crowd had not even been able to see how that blue-haired young man moved his body, or how he swung that golden dragon spear. It looked as if he had just stood perfectly still while the force of death itself automatically harvested every single life around him.

A massive wave of sound suddenly broke the silence. A wild and crazy cheer, sounding like a giant landslide or a massive wave, exploded from the stands. These bad people who loved killing and blood were completely set on fire by this incredibly fast and violent display of slaughter.

That was an amazing kill!

He is way too fast! I could not see his movements at all!

What kind of weapon is he holding? How can anyone have that kind of speed?

Is he really a newcomer? Are you playing a joke on me right now?

He is the true Death God!

Wild shouts and loud arguments filled every single corner of the arena. Every person was talking about those unbelievable seconds that had just happened, and everyone was staring at the masked, blue-haired youth who looked like a god of death who had come down to the earth.

Inside the arena, Tang Chen ignored the loud noise of the crowd around him. He slowly lifted his golden dragon spear up into the air. The small drops of blood falling from the sharp tip of his spear made tiny holes in the dark red sand below. He did not even bother to look down at the dead bodies lying near his feet. Instead, he just raised his head and pointed his calm gaze toward the judges' platform, as if he were silently telling them to hurry up and start the next round of fights.

Very quickly, the workers walked out onto the field like machines to clear away the mess. The list of new opponents was also put together with an incredibly fast and spooky speed. It seemed that even the rules of Slaughter City itself had found a deep interest in this sudden, fast-working cleaner, or perhaps the city simply had a strong hunger to feed on more blood.

Tang Chen did not leave the fighting ground at all. He just stood there and waited.

The second ten-person match had absolutely no surprises in it, and it came to an end even faster than the first one. The bright light of the golden spear was like an invitation from death, cutting through the air with perfect and cold precision. The ten new opponents did not even have the time to surround him before they were turned into a pile of cold corpses on the sand.

The cheering from the crowd became even more insane.

Then came the third match, the fourth match, and the fifth match. Tang Chen was acting like a tireless killing machine built with perfect parts. Every single match was a ten-person battle, and every single match turned into a one-sided slaughter.

There was no close wrestling, no testing of strength, and he never gave his opponents any room to fight back or struggle for their lives. The golden dragon spear would stab straight forward, sweep across in a wide circle, or point directly at a target. Every single move he made was as short as possible, and every single strike was completely deadly.

Fresh blood kept splashing all over the dark red sand, and new dead bodies quickly covered up the older ones. One match followed right after another. He finished the tenth match, the fifteenth match, and then the twentieth match.

The feeling inside the Hell Slaughter Arena slowly began to change from the initial loud and crazy cheering. The shouting was still there, but it was now mixed with a lot of shock, deep fear, and even a feeling of true respect. As they watched the blue figure who never seemed to get tired and who kept making mountains of bodies and rivers of blood, a cold chill began to grow inside the hearts of many spectators.

When the bells for the twenty-fifth and the thirtieth matches rang out one after the other, the noise coming from the viewing stands had become quite weak and thin. Many people just opened their eyes wide, stopped breathing, and watched the exact same scene of slaughter happen over and over again on the arena floor.

Finally, when the thirty-fifth match came to an end and the very last opponent fell flat on the ground with his heart destroyed by the light of the spear, a dry voice came over the speaker from the judges' platform.

For today, all the people who signed up for the Hell Slaughter Arena have been cleared out. There are no more challengers left to fight at this moment.

It was not that the management had failed to make matches, but rather that nobody else had the courage to sign up their names. All the fighters and trainees who had the right rank and the bravery to step into the Hell Slaughter Arena had either become a part of the cold piles of dead bodies being dragged away, or they had been completely terrified by this unbelievable, crushing, and scary slaughter. They had all run away into their dark homes and did not dare to take another single step outside.

In just one single day, which was his very first day arriving at Slaughter City, Tang Chen had won thirty-five matches in a row, and more than three hundred fighters had lost their lives under his spear.
