Chapter 333 - Chapter 333: Serval’s Stark Sense of Contrast

Most importantly…

Belobog had actually warmed up.

The temperature had risen to the point where heating systems were no longer needed.

That alone was enough to leave Serval utterly stunned.

Even if the price paid was heavy,

It was still far better than slowly marching toward extinction with no hope.

Serval couldn't help but regret how quickly she had agreed to Bronya's plan earlier.

To think they were going to act against Belobog's savior—

That was just ungrateful.

"So, miss, what brings you here? Or do you have some concerns about my upcoming rule?"

While chatting with Serval, Su Ran casually worked on a small device in his hands.

Cocolia, of course, couldn't understand a single thing he was making.

"Haha… concerns? Not at all. I just came to thank you—for bringing hope to Belobog."

At least now, as Serval stood in Qlipoth Fort again,

There were no snowflakes falling from the sky.

If not for the current situation being more important,

She might've gone home first to change into lighter clothes.

Thankfully, the Supreme Guardian's office now had air conditioning installed.

So it wasn't unbearably hot.

The irony wasn't lost on her.

Generations of Belobog had struggled just to survive the cold—

Yet this outsider arrived and solved everything instantly.

And then—

Found the city too warm and installed cooling instead.

All their hardships,

Reduced to something someone else could fix on a whim.

"I thought you were here to arrest me," Su Ran said casually. "I saw quite a few Silvermane Guards outside earlier."

"…."

Serval felt extremely awkward.

Arrest Belobog's hero?

She wasn't that heartless.

She had only been cautious after hearing someone was manipulating Cocolia and trying to take over the world.

But before she even met him—

The disaster was already solved.

If she still followed Bronya's original plan now,

Her conscience wouldn't allow it.

"Serval! Are you attempting rebellion?"

Cocolia's voice turned cold.

From the moment Belobog regained spring,

She had already made her decision.

She would become Su Ran's loyal hound—

Clearing all obstacles for him.

If he could bring spring,

Then restoring Belobog's former glory was only a matter of time.

She would not allow anyone to ruin that future.

As for Bronya—

She fully intended to strip her of command and lock her up for a year to reflect.

"I just don't want to be kept in the dark anymore, Cocolia!"

Despite the awkwardness,

Serval still held deep frustration toward her former friend.

Their falling-out had always stemmed from a lack of understanding.

Maybe now, freed from the Stellaron's influence,

Cocolia realized her mistakes.

But she also understood something else—

Belobog wasn't saved by its people's efforts.

It was saved because someone descended from above and ended everything.

If Su Ran hadn't come,

She would've continued down the wrong path.

Because hope had already been extinguished.

Belobog's calls for help had never been answered.

"Some truths… don't solve anything just by knowing them, Serval. You don't understand."

"If you never explain, how would I understand?"

Serval's anger flared.

But with an outsider present, she restrained herself.

She wasn't unreasonable.

"This scene feels awfully familiar…"

Su Ran rested his chin on his hand, watching the two with mild exasperation.

It was a classic scenario—

Two people drifting apart due to misunderstanding,

Each pushed to opposite extremes.

From an outsider's perspective, it was almost absurd.

But from within—

It made sense.

Cocolia and Serval both wanted to argue loudly.

But because of Su Ran's presence,

They held back.

Their visibly restrained expressions were almost comical.

Though Su Ran didn't find it funny.

Serval suppressed her urge to argue and turned to him seriously.

Compared to personal grievances,

She cared more about Belobog's future.

"I want to know… now that you own this planet, how will you treat its people?"

She even used formal speech.

After the initial joy,

What remained was anxiety and uncertainty.

Cocolia had handed over the entire planet—

Without consulting anyone.

The same decisiveness she once used to ban Serval's research and strip her position.

Serval didn't know what kind of person Su Ran was.

But she knew—

He was the one who brought spring.

"Have you ever played a city-building simulation game?" Su Ran asked.

Serval looked confused and shook her head.

Belobog had been isolated for centuries.

Their technology had regressed—

Video games were out of the question.

The glowing construct in Su Ran's hand split into two streams,

Entering Cocolia and Serval's minds.

"Stellaron…"

After years of being influenced by one,

Cocolia instantly recognized what it was.
