Chapter 11 - A Meeting With The Ancestor

Sylwen was dumbfounded by her Ancestor's request. She looked at Veer and thought about his identity. "He must have a different identity. But what was that?"

She didn't know. Better to hurry.

She then looked at Vryger and said, "Bring the white knight to the white moon palace."

Veer wondered what the Moon palace was. Why was Eleana suddenly going there?

Then Sylwen looked at another lady, Aowyn, who was as beautiful as a fairy. Veer saw that she had long, black hair and dressed more like a fighter. She wore a green gown up to her knees, leather-like black boots from the knees to the toes. The dress was decorated wonderfully with white clothes seemingly hanging around her waist.

Sylwen asked her, "Bring Lady Eryssa to the spirits renaissance realm. I will be back in a short while. An ancestor has called me. "

Vryger and Aowyn bowed as they took Eleana and Eryssa with them and headed in different directions to the depths of the realm.

Eleana and Eryssa nodded to Veer and their group before continuing with them. Veer wondered what that was about. They came, and now they are going separately somewhere. He was a bit confused, as their original motive was to search for the fruit to wake Alicia up and return. Was it really ok?

Sylwen ordered the rest to take Caria and John to explore the realm as guests. Caria and John seemed to ask Veer to join them, but Sylwen interrupted in a stern voice, " I need to do some talking with him. You guys can continue exploring. He will join after some time."

Veer said in an awkward voice, "Haha, ma'am, I can also roam with them. We can meet after Lady Eryssa and Eleana are back."

He started walking as Sylwen captured his hand. Veer was sweating as he looked at her. She was in a golden dress similar to Aowyn's. Her blond hair seemed to indicate her status. Her carefully braided hair and slight jewelry were a sight to behold.

John uttered, "Haha, Veer, we will be back in a while."

John and Caria left with the rest of the members as they nodded to Veer.

Veer was thinking internally, "Oi oi don't leave me alone. You guys are going in pairs. I am alone."

Now only Sylwen, Mythria, and Lythria were remaining. Veer was feeling a bit out of place as Sylwen released his hand.

It seemed she had received some kind of message. Does she also want something? As he was wondering, Sylwen suddenly bowed slightly to the shock of Mythria and Lythria and told Veer, "I am sorry for my display earlier. You have been requested to meet with our Ancestor. Let us go without any delays." Veer also had a look of great surprise.

He was thinking, "An ancestor meeting with me, a trivial knight?"

Veer wanted to say something, but Lythria broke out of her reverie and took Veer's hands and said with a smile, "Don't worry too much, let's meet her. Meeting her always is a blessing." Veer nodded as he followed them.

Lythria was talkative as they walked. She was showing him different flora and fauna as they went by. Some were animals without a body, just like translucent light roaming around. Veer was looking at a particular one as Lythria muttered, "It's a spirit deer."

Veer asked, looking above, "Is the sun not visible from here?"

Lythria's face changed as he received a glare from Myrieth. Sylwen sighed as Lythria told awkwardly, "It's already a blessing to have the Great Mystic Tree protect us."

Veer didn't get anything, but he put this into the back of his mind as he noticed the atmosphere.

Lythria asked after some time," By the way, what is your relationship with the Chosen One of the spirits and one of the Chosen of the Moon?"

Veer was confused as he thought over the terms. Chosen One of the spirits had an obvious interpretation, as it referred to the control of spirits. But he did not know about Chosen of the Moon, and by her words, it seemed some kind of legacy, maybe. So they are actually part of some big legacy. Wait- I am the protector of Eryssa, but who am I to Eleana?

Veer shook his head as he said, "I am a knight protector of Lady Eryssa. As for Eleana..." Veer pondered as the two sisters looked at him with a smile and sighed, " We can be considered classmates."

Sensing the silence, Lythria said in a somewhat wistful tone," I also want to go out and explore the human world. But father and mother never agree." She wanted to say more, but Sylwen said," We have reached here."

Veer was standing with the group beside a pond that seemed to be carved out of jade. A lot of lotus plants were there. They seem to shimmer in the night starlight as spirits wander about. There was an ancient temple-like house or courtyard near the pond. As they neared it, he heard a very soft melody which echoed all around, "Sylwen, you with the daughters of Arwyn, wait here for a bit. Young man, you can come in ."

Veer bowed in the direction of the voice and then glanced towards the sisters and Sylwen as they nodded, and he entered the courtyard. It was simple yet elegant and refined. He passed by a few doors as he got to the inner chamber. The style of this house was very different from the kingdom's architecture. There were many paintings of natural scenes on the walls with deep brush strokes that seemed to emit a strange pressure with the faint light shining on them.

As he moved, he noticed the portrait of a very beautiful lady on the wall, and his heart was in turmoil for no reason. He felt familiarity in that gaze of the beautiful woman. He wanted to gaze more at the figure, but then a gentle voice said, "Come here !" Veer gave the painting a last look as he opened the door to the inner chamber.

It was a sight straight out of a picture. He seemed to be in a trance, looking at the slightly mature and aged lady sitting on a low mattress as the moonlight gently shone on her. She was wearing a layer of clothes, and her hair was soft and white in color. Her eyes were refined, and her face seemed to emit gentle emotions. Her ears were pointed just like the two sisters. Her presence seemed to calm his agitating thoughts, and he took a deep breath as he bowed.

She said, "Sit beside me." Veer went and sat near her. She took a sip from her drink as she muttered, "How curious." She glanced at Veer with deep eyes that seemed to examine him, and suddenly Veer was astonished to see she was checking his pulse. Veer wondered, I did not even notice that. She examined Veer for some time and then sighed, "So you lost your memories."

Veer was dumbfounded by the reveal. No one managed to uncover that about him till now, at least not directly. How powerful was she? Veer was sweating when she said, "I have no interest in you or anything you are thinking."

Veer's gaze became awkward as she sighed again, "I felt your resonance with the stars when you came here. I have something that can help you in that regard. "

She got up and then walked towards the window, pulled it open, and let the starlight in. She then chanted something in a language Veer did not understand, but it was very comforting. Something wondrous happened. The starlight coming into the room seemed to converge at the tips of the lady's hand, which she pointed out. She began collecting starlight for quite some time, as Veer became so shocked that he did not make a simple sound. There was a bright point of light in her hands.

She then walked to Veer and then touched Veer's forehead with her hand. Veer lost his senses at that moment as he experienced being transported to another realm. He could not find where he should go. Just then, there was a gentle voice, "Follow the concentrated starlight", as a ball of light seemed to manifest in that realm. Veer continued to follow that. As he followed that, his body seemed to relax, and his mind gradually strengthened bit by bit as he was lost in savoring this feeling.

In the room, the Ancestor looked at Veer with a complicated gaze as she muttered, " This should suffice for unlocking his first Star Chakra." She then looked through the walls as she gazed at the beautiful painting Veer had noticed earlier, and she said, "Forgive me, but for now this is all I can do." She looked at Veer, who seemed to be in a trance as she walked out of the courtyard.

As she walked out, Sylwen, Mythria, and Lythria bowed as the ancestor sighed," That boy has ties with me." She gazed at the two sisters deeply, who looked at her with reverence and respect as she said," I plan to make one of you follow him to the human kingdom. Decide who will follow him and come inside. "

All of them were shocked. Lythria seemed to be so energetic that she almost jumped in joy.

She then looked to Sylwen as she said, "What did he say about the spirit controller of this age ?"

Sylwen said, "Nothing is out of the ordinary. "

The ancestor said nothing as she went back inside. She looked deep in thought.

.....

Eleana was rapidly going about facing the trials to become one of the candidates to get the legacy of the Moon. She knew it was a near-impossible dream, and honestly, she didn't know that much about it. She heard tidbits when she was researching, and lastly from Sylwen. Amidst the challenges she was encountering, one thought was continuously driving her forward. She needed to catch up to that man. The man who owed her so much.

She looked at the area Vryger bought her to. It was a beautiful area. There were water streams all around and fountains. In the middle, there was a statue of a lady. She had a huge moon around her. It was shimmering with light.

Vryger handed her a key and told her, "Stand in the middle and hold the key. Close your eyes."

As she went there, she was feeling a little sad over the fact that she had hidden her and Eryssa's intentions of defeating the shadow from Veer. She had never been good at communicating herself.

The idea of defeating the shadow came to Eryssa's mind, not her.

The reason she did not explain anything to Veer was that Eryssa had mentioned to keep it a secret.

She was recalling that time when Eryssa said in a shy voice that it would break Veer's impression of her, so she told her to keep it hidden.

She shook her head at Eryssa's thinking as she stood near the statue. She stood in the middle of a circle with an intricate design. As she closed her eyes, holding the key, she was submerged under white light.
