Chapter 184 - Chapter 184: Gengar

Seven days passed quietly.

Fourteen days of special training were already behind them.

During this time, every Pokémon was subjected to relentless lightning resistance training on the beach. Among them, the one suffering the most was undoubtedly the twins' Gyarados.

As a Water/Flying-type Pokémon, it had a quadruple weakness to Electric-type attacks. Unlike Silas' Pokémon, it had never consumed specialized Pokéblocks to improve resistance, nor had it undergone any focused training against electricity.

The result was obvious.

The once-dominant Gyarados now showed hesitation… even fear… whenever lightning surged across its body.

The others weren't faring much better.

Injuries had accumulated over time, but fortunately, Lucian had prepared recovery medicine that removed hidden damage. Because of this, the Pokémon endured… and trained even harder.

And if the Pokémon suffered…Then what about their trainers?

....

Morning sunlight spread across the land.

The rusted iron doors of the factory creaked open.

Four figures stumbled out.

Three men ,One woman. All injured and All exhausted ,Bloodstains marked their clothes, and the worst among them could barely stand without support.

High above, Lucian stood atop his Dragonite, looking down at them with an indifferent gaze.

"Not bad," he said calmly. "You didn't disappoint me."

"Those Pokémon inside weren't above level 20, but their numbers made up for it."

"The fact that you survived and fought them bare-handed…"

"You've barely reached the beginner level of close combat."

The words were calm But they ignited fury.

The younger twin clenched his teeth, barely able to stand.

"Beginner?" he growled. "Then what counts as expert?"

His voice trembled with suppressed anger.

Lucian didn't answer. Instead, he waved his hand.

From both sides of the factory, medical staff rushed out and began treating them on the spot.

Silas instinctively tensed Then slowly relaxed.

Too tense.Still adapting.

He exhaled quietly.

This training…Was unforgettable ,Fighting Pokémon with bare hands and Living on the edge of life and death.

Every second had been real.

Every injury… earned.

.....

The next seven days passed quickly.

Close combat training continued.

At the same time, they began mastering the high-tech combat suits And the difference Was overwhelming.

With the suits on, their speed, strength, and defense increased drastically. What once required all four of them to barely handle a level 20 Pokémon…Now One person was enough.

Easily.

Combined with built-in features like laser bursts, shielding, and mobility enhancement, the suits pushed human combat ability to an entirely new level.

For the first time, Silas truly understood something:

Team Rocket wasn't just powerful It was terrifying. If even the Hoenn branch had this level of technology…Then what about the Kanto headquarters? The so-called underground ruler…

Deserved that title.

.....

A white figure leapt down from a tree.

Boom!

A punch landed.

A Sandshrew cried out in pain, its body curling instinctively as its scales cracked under the impact But the attack didn't stop ,Another strike followed.

"Gyaah!"

The Sandshrew struggled Too late. A final blow crushed it completely.

Silas lowered his arm and With a soft click, his combat suit deactivated, reverting back to normal clothing.

He glanced down briefly.

"This suit really is something else." Before he could think further A signal flared on the beach.

Emergency assembly.

Without hesitation, the suit reactivated, covering his body once more. Light ,Fast and Efficient.

He moved.

....

The beach.

All four had gathered.

Lucian stood before them.

"After twenty days of training," he said, "you should understand the importance of this mission." A pause then "The final training begins now." His gaze sharpened.

"You will use your Pokémon to fight mine."

"No rules."

"Wild battle."

Before anyone could react Rose moved first. A dagger shot through the air, aimed directly at Lucian.

Clang!

A purple figure appeared instantly Blocking it all while Floating and Grinning.

Gengar.

"Heh… not bad," Lucian said lightly. "You've learned quickly."

The battle had already begun.

Everyone reacted at once

Distance.

Positioning.

Poké Balls released.

Silas' eyes flicked briefly toward Rose.

Still dangerous as Always.

"Sharpedo Aqua Jet. Stay ready to accelerate."

"Crawdaunt Swords Dance. Boost and hold position."

Both Pokémon moved instantly.

No hesitation Facing a peak Elite-level Gengar Even a moment of carelessness meant defeat.

All attacks converged From every direction But Gengar Just laughed.

"Gehehe…"

Its body flickered Distorted Then A sphere of dark purple energy formed in its hand and With a casual swing It launched the back at them.

The first to intercept was Gyarados With a roar, it lunged forward, jaws opening wide.

Crunch!

It bit down on the sphere ,For a split second Nothing happened Then The energy surged ,Expanded and become Unstable.

Boom!!!

An explosion tore through the battlefield ,Smoke and debris filled the air. When it cleared Gyarados crashed to the ground. Its mouth…Its face…Mangled beyond recognition.

Silence fell.

One hit.

Just one And an Elite-level Gyarados was instantly defeated.

Gengar floated there. Still smiling Wide ,Innocent looking which was Terrifying.

Everyone's expression changed But Silas Didn't hesitate.

"No rules… Then trainers are targets too."

"Sharpedo circle around. Attack him from behind."

"Crawdaunt engage from the front. Use Crunch. Stall it."

A blur of blue shot forward ,Water surged and Speed exploded.

The hunt had begun.
