Chapter 307 - Chapter 308: What Do You Mean You Brought Back an Entire Fountain of Beauty?

"Do all the girls at Beauxbatons look like that? Do they seriously use the beauty fountain every day?"

Hermione asked, then immediately followed up:

"But I read in books that bathing in the fountain water doesn't make people glow!"

She frowned, wearing that classic "if it's not in a book I need to understand why" expression.

Lucien waved his hand casually.

"The girl in the photo is Fleur Delacour. The glowing part is her own thing—she's part Veela. As for the Fountain of Beauty, using the water to wash your face and bathe long-term really does have beautifying effects, though results vary from person to person. We can go try it out ourselves when we have time."

Hermione nodded seriously, like she was making a study plan.

"If we get another exchange tournament in the future and it's held at Beauxbatons, I'm definitely going when I'm older!"

She glanced sideways at the silver-haired girl in the photo again.

Her own special trait?

That silver glow… Hermione had read descriptions like that before. Combined with that unnatural beauty, it sounded like…

Hearing Hermione's determined statement, Lucien couldn't help laughing. He realized he hadn't been clear enough.

"No, I mean—we already have a Fountain of Beauty right here at Hogwarts."

"What?!"

All three younger students froze at the same time.

"I'm saying—" Lucien looked at their stunned faces, his smile growing wider, "—while I was at Beauxbatons this time, I went ahead and…"

As Lucien explained, Harry, Ron, and Hermione stared at him in complete disbelief.

What do you mean you went on one trip to Beauxbatons and brought back a full replica of their signature magical landmark?

That fountain was built by Nicolas Flamel himself!

"So…" Ron swallowed hard, eyes huge. "So now Hogwarts has a magic fountain that can actually make people prettier and more handsome?"

He looked genuinely regretful.

"Man, Bill and Charlie really missed out by graduating too early."

Hermione didn't join in the mourning. Instead she frowned and muttered,

"Wait… do we need to pay Mr. Nicolas Flamel royalties for this?"

Before Lucien left for Beauxbatons, Hermione had actually asked him to bring back some of the fountain water. It was half curiosity about beauty, half pure magical fascination.

When he didn't mention it after returning, she assumed it was too difficult to take any. After all, the fountain belonged to Beauxbatons.

But now he was saying he straight-up built one at Hogwarts?

Wasn't that… kind of illegal?

Would Madame Maxime or even Nicolas Flamel himself show up at their door?

Lucien was momentarily speechless. He found Hermione's train of thought genuinely funny—her first reaction was copyright concerns.

Still… technically speaking…

He had learned the entire construction method and principles directly from Nicolas. He had even mentioned wanting to build one at Hogwarts, and his teacher had given him permission. Plus…

Learning something and then using that knowledge wasn't exactly infringement, right?

Suddenly Harry let out a loud "Oh!"

"I remember now!" He slapped his thigh. "This morning after Quidditch practice, on the way back from the pitch I saw a bunch of Ravenclaw girls crowded around a new fountain."

He thought back. "I wondered where that came from, but I was rushing to class so I didn't stop to look."

So that was Lucien's doing?

"On the path to the pitch?" Hermione's eyes sparkled. "That's not far from the castle, right?"

Lucien nodded. "Yeah, right in the middle of the path, on the grassy area near the lake."

The second he finished speaking, Hermione shot up from her seat like she'd been hit with a cheering charm.

Her small fists were clenched tight, eyes shining with excitement.

"I want to go see it right now!"

Ron was so startled by her sudden burst of energy that he nearly slid off his chair.

Harry laughed and stood up too, brushing rock cake crumbs off his robes. "I want to see it too."

Hagrid waved his massive hand with a big grin. "Go on then, while it's still light out."

Hermione had already taken two eager steps toward the door before turning back to look at Lucien, her eyes full of urging and joy.
