Lucien stared at him.
"Pffttt..."
He couldn't help but laugh. The sound was low and humorless, laced with mockery.
"An impostor?" He took another step forward. "Who told you that?"
"The information has already begun spreading among the neighboring kingdoms."
Lucien's smile disappeared. Already?
He had been on his way to the Holy Kingdom specifically to reveal the existence of the Woman of the Prophecy. Yet this stranger had arrived before him, making the exact opposite claim. And somehow, the news had already reached the surrounding territories.
Lucien's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Who sent you?"
"I cannot reveal that information."
Lucien's expression darkened. "Then you are wasting my time."
The stranger bowed slightly. "You may believe what you wish, King Lucien. But the other kingdoms are already questioning the identity of the first woman." He paused. "Perhaps you should reconsider your plans before arriving at the Holy Kingdom."
