Chapter 91 - Chapter 91: Not Others, We’re Family!

"Lisanna, just watch."

Rain shot Lisanna a meaningful "wait for it" look, and then…

"Mira, you just said you promised Erza not to tell others, right?"

Rain turned toward Mirajane with raised brows.

"Yes, that's right."

Mira nodded, totally calm. She tilted her head slightly, curious what Rain was about to say that could possibly convince her.

"Now think about it, Mira."

Rain crossed his arms, expression turning serious.

"You said you can't tell others. But… are we others?"

Rain pointed at himself, then at Lisanna.

"Obviously not. We're our own people. How can we be considered outsiders?"

"It seems… that makes sense."

Mira blinked slowly.

Wait, hold on.

Rain's logic was actually… not wrong?

What exactly counts as 'others'?

Only outsiders, strangers, or uninvolved people should count.

Family, close friends? Not 'others.'

Which means showing Rain and Lisanna didn't break the promise at all.

"…Still carrying something like this?"

Lisanna's mouth twitched so hard she almost sprained her jaw.

Watching Rain and her sister Mira confidently spout nonsense like a duet was… truly an experience.

Honestly, she didn't even know where to begin complaining.

"Alright, fine. I'll show it to Rain."

Mira smiled sweetly.

"Wait—wait! Hold up, what about me!?"

Lisanna immediately snapped to attention, realizing a second too late that she was suddenly being excluded.

Being excluded by these two, specifically, was unacceptable.

"Lisanna, you…"

Mira let out a soft, apologetic sigh.

"…"

…So love disappears just like that, huh?

"Sorry, Lisanna."

Rain instantly chose to stand with Mira and apologized to Lisanna on reflex.

"..."

Lisanna's breath hitched.

At that moment she finally understood why those two clicked together so naturally.

"Hmph!"

Realizing she had been excluded by her own crush and sister, Lisanna slammed the dishes and chopsticks down, furious, and stormed back to her room.

She wasn't washing anything today.

They could wash their own damn plates.

"Ohoho~ Lisanna is so cute when she gets angry! As expected of my little sister."

Mira watched Lisanna leave with far too much pride for someone who had just bullied her.

"Hahaha…"

Rain watched Mira—once a harmless, gentle little girl—slowly turning more mischievous and wicked by the day.

He gave a stiff, polite laugh.

"Come on, Rain. Let's go to my room. I'll show you the good stuff I took of Erza."

Mira grabbed his hand and dragged him toward her room, ready to reveal her "collection."

"It was actually… filmed?"

Rain froze.

But his curiosity only intensified.

Inside Mira's little treasure box…

Rain finally saw the photos she took of Erza.

"Damn!!!"

Even Rain, who mentally prepared himself, felt his heart shake.

Is this really something he should be looking at?

Isn't this a bit too stimulating!?

"Well? Surprised?" Mira asked with a smirk.

"Erza's figure is amazing. But she's always wearing armor, so you never see it."

"Yes, seriously… who would've thought Erza already had such a figure at her age— ahem."

Rain stopped himself mid-sentence.

"Erza's future potential is simply terrifying~"

Mira smiled knowingly… and then stared straight at Rain.

"Mira, why are you looking at me like that?"

Rain blinked, genuinely confused by the way Mira's gaze sharpened.

"Rain… tell me."

Mira leaned closer.

"If Erza were to start calling me 'big sis'… that wouldn't be too bad, right?"

"Mira, what are you thinking? With Erza's personality? No way she'd agree to that."

Rain shook his head instantly.

"Impossible?"

Mira's eyes glimmered with meaning.

"Uh… Mira? You're not planning something, are you?"

Rain swallowed. He knew Mira well — too well.

That look meant she definitely had a plan.

But what plan…?

"Rain."

Mira smiled sweetly.

"With your charm, it shouldn't be hard for you to capture Erza's heart, right?"

"WHAT?!"

Rain nearly fell over.

He did not expect Mira to suggest something that outrageous.

Wasn't this going too far!?

"Mira, I'm not that kind of person!"

Rain immediately defended himself.

"Yeah?" Mira tilted her head.

"Then how do you explain Lisanna?"

"I—"

Rain opened his mouth…

and failed to explain anything.

"If you take care of Erza," Mira continued with a warm smile,

"then I can give you my blessing with Lisanna too."

"WHAT!?"

Rain's breathing accelerated instantly.

Wait wait wait—

Mira wasn't joking, right?

This sounded… REALLY good.

"I'm not joking. I'm serious."

Mira's smile was angelic, but for some reason, Rain felt a cold shiver down his spine.

"W-well… Mira, can I ask… why?"

Rain asked cautiously.

If he didn't clarify this, he'd feel guilty forever.

"Why?"

Mira let out a dramatic sigh.

"You really don't know why?"

"I don't…"

Rain replied with a bitter smile.

"Because, Rain…"

Mira leaned closer, eyes narrowing playfully.

"You're way too charming for your own good."

"You will go to other worlds in the future, meet all kinds of girls… of course some of them will end up liking you."

"I can refuse…" Rain said, staring back at her seriously.
