Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Asking for a number

That afternoon.

I dragged Jing Yuan from place to place.

From the accessories shop, the game area, then to the souvenir shop.

Whenever I saw something unusual, I stopped.

"Jing Yuan, this looks really funny."

I picked up a keychain and shook it.

"If you like it, buy it."

He stood behind me, his voice still even.

"No, just looking."

I smiled, put it down, and continued walking.

In the game area, I tried a few claw machines.

I missed several times in a row.

"That hard?"

I frowned.

Jing Yuan stood beside me, watching for a while, then extended his hand:

"Let me try."

He operated very quickly.

On the second try, he grabbed a small animal.

I was a little surprised, my eyes wide and my mouth agape as I said,

"Wow, you got it right away?"

"Yes."

He handed it to me.

I took it, looked at it for a moment, then shoved it into his hand:

"So, will you hold this for me?"

Kình Uyên paused for a second.

But still nodded in agreement.

We walked a little further.

The crowd started to grow larger.

I subtly frowned and unconsciously tugged at his sleeve to squeeze through.

"It's crowded here."

"Be careful."

He only said that.

But he followed me.

I don't know when,

my mood improved considerably.

As we were walking, Kình Uyên suddenly stopped, causing me, walking behind him and engrossed in looking at everything, to bump my face into his back.

I slightly covered my nose and softly exclaimed, "Why did you stop?"

Even though I was in that state, I secretly thought to myself, "He didn't even say anything when he stopped. He's such a jerk, he's hurting me so much."

Seeing this, Jing Yuan calmly said, "Young master, are you alright?"

Seeing Jing Yuan like that, I paused slightly. I didn't understand why his attitude made me unhappy and somewhat... uncomfortable.

But I still looked up and said,

"Why did you stop?"

Jing Yuan heard this and said, "Young master, haven't you been gone for a long time already?" "I thought you were tired, so I wanted to come in so the young master could rest." Hearing that, I was slightly taken aback, then gently lowered my head to hide my face, which was inexplicably blushing. I pulled him along, saying, "Then what are you doing standing there... hurry up and come in!"

The space was cooler and quieter than outside.

I chose a seat near the window.

Kình Uyên went to get some ice cream, then brought two cups back.

I bent down to eat, occasionally glancing outside.

After a while,

I suddenly noticed that at the table next to me, two people were looking over.

Not at me.

But at Kình Uyên.

At first, I didn't pay attention.

But after a while,

I was still looking.

Occasionally, they would whisper something in each other's ears and laugh.

I frowned slightly.

For some reason… I felt a little annoyed.

A bad feeling secretly arose in my heart: "Could it be that they want to…"

Sure enough.

Not long after, those two stood up and walked over.

"Brother." A girl smiled, her sweet voice saying,

"Could we have your number, please?"

I said nothing.

I just looked up.

Kình Uyên's expression remained unchanged.

"Not convenient."

He replied curtly.

"Oh, we just wanted to be friends."

The other girl remained standing there, showing no intention of leaving.

"It won't bother you."

I looked for a moment.

It felt a bit… time-consuming.

"He's with me."

I said.

My voice was normal.

The two girls froze.

They looked at me, then at Kình Uyên.

"…Ah, sorry…so you have a boyfriend already?"

Then they gave a forced smile and turned away.

The space became quiet again.

I lowered my head and continued eating.

As if nothing had happened.

"Young master."

Jing Yuan called out.

"What's wrong?" I replied, looking up.

But Jing Yuan's next words made me freeze slightly.

Jing Yuan looked at me indifferently and said, "Next time, young master, don't do that again..."
