Chapter 30 - Frieza Ball Z

"Hey, guys! Welcome back!" Goku cheered, watching as a group of figures walked out onto the Lookout, "How was the training?"

"Dad!" Gohan rushed forward immediately, bursting through the air as he leaped into his dad's arms, and hugged Goku tightly, "I missed you!"

"Hah, I missed you too, Gohan," Goku grinned as he wrapped his arm around his son again, "But, it's only been a few months! How was your training?"

"More worried about the training than us being dead?" Krillin muttered a bit wearily, "Glad to see you haven't changed, Goku."

"Yes, only a few months is right," Piccolo butted in, striding forward as he was matching Gohan's outfit with his own purple training garb and flowing white cape, "It takes a year for the Dragon Balls to recharge, but you not only revived us, but also teleported us back here, in just four months."

"Y-Yeah, and how am I here?" Krillin asked, feeling like he was a bit out of place, "The Dragon Balls can only be used to bring someone back to life once, right? And I was already brought back before…"

"Oh! That's because the Dragon Balls are a bit different now!" Goku answered easily, casually reaching down as the pile of balls hadn't dispersed, and were instead just lying at his feet, "Frieza made a couple of changes to them."

He grabbed one of the balls and held it up for the Z-Fighters to see, all of whom just stared at him blankly for a moment. The Lookout fell into complete, unbelieving silence until Yamcha broke it.

"Y-You're just messing with us, right, Goku?" He asked, his face strained as he stared with wide eyes at the ball, "T-This is some kind of prank, right?!"

"Y-Yeah, there's no way that's a Dragon Ball," Tien agreed, also staring in disbelief at the one in Goku's hand, "That… that can't be! How would he even do that?!"

Their shock wasn't because they knew what customizations Frieza had made to the Dragon Balls, but instead, because of how the Dragon Balls now looked. The previously orange balls were now a tinge of purple, and instead of having stars, they had varying numbers of 'Frieza stickers' on each one, which were just a bunch of small Frieza faces.

"Yup! It was good changes, though!" Goku said, strangely being defensive over Frieza's actions, "Now, they can be used every four months, and they give four wishes at a time! There was also a bunch of stuff removed, like how you can only revive people once, or how you have to revive them before they've been dead for more than a year!"

"W-Well, that's good and all, but…" Yamcha jutted his finger forward, his face twisting angrily, "What the hell is that?! Why is that bastard's face all over them now?!"

"Oh, right, that too! He renamed them into the Frieza Balls!" Goku explained quickly, still grinning at his friend's return as he apparently saw no issue with the new name, "He said something about… clamming them for himself? But I don't know what clams have to do with anything?"

"Claiming, Goku," Kami sighed, finally intervening as he stepped forward, and looked apologetically at the Z-Fighters, "I'm sorry to all of you. I couldn't stop him, and… I have failed as the Guardian of Earth."

"Failed?" Piccolo asked, narrowing his eyes as his back stiffened, "What do you mean? Is that monster still here?"

At the idea, all the Z-Fighters immediately stiffened, as if they were about to fight at that very moment.

"N-No way, right? W-Wait, was this like… a thing you allowed?" Yamcha asked poorly, his head spinning a bit as he gestured at the Frieza Balls, "K-King Kai told us about how he became… better, so I thought Goku kicked his ass and knocked some sense into him!"

"Nope! I got my butt kicked," Goku replied cheerfully, only causing the rest of the Z-Fighters to stiffen wearily as Goku looked wistful, as if he were recalling a fond memory, "Man… he's really tough! It was a real wake-up call!"

"T-Then he's still here?" Tien reiterated nervously, but Kami calmed him down.

"No. He left… just now, actually," Kami said, shifting a bit nervously, "After the first wish, he was upset about something, so he used the next one and then left rather quickly."

"Yup! Something about me wishing back all his enemies, or something," Goku hummed, still not looking very worried about the thing that Frieza had been stressing about, "I thought he wasn't about to let me teleport you guys here for a second, but he let me use the last two! Oh, and I had to use one of them on just you, Yamcha, because you died to a Saibamen!"

Yamcha's face turned red as he glanced away, pretending he didn't exist, as his death was so pathetic that a second wish had to be wasted on him.

"Wishing back all his enemies?" Tien asked, looking at Goku blandly with a raised eyebrow, "What does that mean?"

"You don't need to worry about that now," Kami cut in, shaking his head slightly, "Instead… I fear we have bigger concerns."

"Bigger concerns?" Yamcha asked dumbly, just repeating what Kami had said.

"I recommend you see for yourself. Go to West City, and you'll see," Kami said ominously, only causing the Z-Fighters to tense again as they got ready to see just what changes had been made to Earth.

"West City? I thought it was Frieza City now?" Until Goku broke the tension, just looking at Kami curiously with a tilted head, "Is there a different West City or something?"

Kami just sighed, rubbing his face as the Z-Fighters stiffened again, and they all let out various levels of concerned phrases.

"F-Frieza City?! What the hell is he talking about?!" Yamcha shouted the loudest, looking at Kami with wide eyes, "What did that bastard do?!"

"He… conquered the planet," Kami just responded, looking a bit ashamed as he wouldn't meet their eyes.

"Conquered the planet?! What does that even entail?" Piccolo bit out, glancing over at Goku, who still didn't seem all that concerned.

"Oh! He renamed a bunch of cities, took over for King Fluffy-"

"King Furry, Goku."

"Right! Took over ruling from King Furry, put a big statue in one of the cities," Goku shrugged, not being bothered, "That type of stuff."

For Goku, all of those things really weren't much of a concern for him. He had grown up in a forest, never had a job, and still lived in a forest - for him, his life was fighting, and as long as innocent people weren't being killed, then he didn't really care about who ruled, be it King Furry or Frieza. But, for the other Z-Fighters, that wasn't quite the same.

"Damn it! I was going to do that!" Piccolo hissed, causing Gohan to give him a slightly concerned look.

"That bastard! First, he takes Bulma, and then he does this?!" Yamcha shouted angrily, glancing around at his fellow fighters, "Why didn't King Kai tell us any of this?!"

H-He threatened to come and blow up my house! I couldn't say much! It's really not my fault!

"Tch. Coward," Piccolo just grunted as King Kai's voice telepathically resounded through their heads.

"Whatever! We can't just let that guy do whatever he wants!" Yamcha shouted again, drawing all of their attention to him, "After what he did to Bulma… after he killed us all in cold blood…"

"Us, not you," Piccolo chimed in, nodding at Yamcha with a far-too-serious expression, "You died to a plant."

"W-Whatever! He took Bulma, and then he took over the whole planet! We have to go kick his ass!" Yamcha said determinedly, brushing as quickly as he could past the 'dying to Saibamen' part, "We'll go take him down, and save the Earth!"

"Usually I'd agree with you, but… he's way too strong," Yamcha blinked, turning incredulously to Goku, "I take it that King Kai told you about my Super Saiyan form, right?"

"He did," Tien nodded as Piccolo looked annoyed just at the mention, "He said it multiplied your power by fifty-fold! I can't believe there's anyone in the whole world that you can't defeat with that power, Goku!"

"Well, I acquired a new form," Goku said, ignoring Tien's compliment as his face became serious, and his grin dropped to a wistful smile, "One that goes beyond that, which I call Super Saiyan Double. It increases my power by just as much as the first Super Saiyan form does."

"S-Seriously?" Krillin spat out, his eyes wide at Goku's explanation, "T-Then you can defeat that monster, can't you, Goku?"

"No. That's what I'm getting at," Goku chuckled, which sounded more wistful than genuine amusement, "I fought him when he came back here around a week ago, and I didn't stand a chance. I even combined that form with my Kaio-Ken, and I couldn't even touch him!"

"S-Still?! All that, and you still couldn't beat him?!" Yamcha spat out, his eyes as wide as saucers.

"S-Someone that even Goku can't beat…" Krillin muttered, staring in shock at Goku.

"Then… we really can't do anything," Piccolo chimed in, turning all eyes to him as his face was set in stone, doing mental calculations, "Even right now, I can tell you're stronger than all of us combined. If you could increase that power over two hundred times, and still not come close to defeating him… then we can't do anything."

For a moment, silence stretched on the Lookout, as no one knew what to say. The Z-Fighters stood there, their backs stiff, as the reality of the situation washed over them. They had been training for months on King Kai's planet in anticipation of potentially battling Frieza again, only to find out that it had all been for nothing.

Earth had been conquered, and there was no chance of resistance.

In this timeline, Frieza won.

—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"W-Where are we going so suddenly? I was having dinner with my parents!" Bulma stuttered, stumbling slightly as I reappeared inside my spaceship with Instant Transmission.

"How… how could an elite like myself… lose… to that… to that… low class…" We happened to appear right in front of Vegeta, who was sulking as I used his energy as the reference point for my Instant Transmission. He was slumped against the wall of the training room in my spaceship, his eyes hollow as he was definitely going through a bout of depression.

I figured he'd end up in one of two states after training with Goku - fired up and inspired after being defeated by him, or depressed out of his mind as a 'low-class' Saiyan kicked his ass effortlessly. It seemed that the latter was happening right now, but I had a plan for it - mainly, telling him I'd let him wish for immortality if he could defeat Goku. That would inspire him and hopefully make him train harder, even if the deal wasn't as sweet as it seemed, as I knew he would never really defeat Goku.

But that was an offer I would make him later. For now, he would have to stay that way - because I had more important things to deal with. Mainly-

"We have to go back to Planet Frieza," I told Bulma bluntly, "And make one stop on the way - one for you, two for me. I already got 18, so we're leaving immediately."

"Come on, Vegeta! It's not your fault! He was all golden!" Nappa called out to Vegeta, also slumped against a wall as he was covered in bruises - from Goku earlier that day, or an enraged Vegeta, I didn't know, "You can't beat a golden person! Remember that kart game, Vegeta?! Hey, Vegeta! In that cart game, when you grabbed the star, you became golden and invincible! There's no shame in losing to a golden guy, Vegeta!"

"Shut the fuck up, Nappa!"

"Hey, Vegeta! Hey, Vegeta! Would you feel better if we played that kart game again?! I bet Lord Frieza can get us it!"

"What? Why?" Bulma called after me, blatantly ignoring the depressed Vegeta and annoying Nappa as we left the training room and walked through my spaceship. Her heels clanked against the white floor as she stumbled after me down the corridor, struggling to keep up as I was speed-walking - which wasn't really speed walking to me, but was walking faster than a normal human would.

"All the way back to Planet Frieza so suddenly? You're joking, right? What's going on?" She continued, but I didn't stop my strides as I answered.

"Goku made a wish," I told her bluntly, not elaborating.

"Yeah, he brought all of our friends back to life, right? I was there when you explained it to him," Bulma responded, staring a hole in the back of my head as she looked annoyed at my quick pace, "That should mean we're doing the opposite of going back to Planet Frieza! I didn't even get to talk to them all yet!

I stopped dead, abruptly turning back to look at her, and she bumped into me as I did - causing her chest to push into mine, and causing the blue-haired woman to blush lightly in the process, "If he just brought back your friends, then it would be fine. He didn't bring only them back, though - He brought everyone I've ever killed back."

Bulma's eyes went wide, and her mouth opened, then closed, then opened again, "Everyone? B-But, isn't that, like… a lot?"

"Yup," I confirmed, popping the 'p' at the end and raising a single finger. "All the Saiyans, my father, my brother, the dozens of planetary leaders I executed, the armies I destroyed, a bunch of criminals, aliens, assassins, entire species - everyone! Do you know how many people I've killed in my lifetime, Bulma? A lot! And Goku, because he's fuckin' Goku, accidentally wished for a mass resurrection event!"

Granted, it wasn't me who killed all those people, but past-Frieza. Unfortunately, I suspected that Shenron didn't know the difference, and as such, there were a lot of people who should've been dead, but were now alive.

"W-Well, that does sound pretty bad… Why didn't you stop him?!" Bulma huffed, but then blinked as she realized something, "W-Wait, you can't resurrect someone after more than a year using the Dragon Balls, so it's fine! I've been with you for the past year, so besides your brother and a couple of creepy aliens here and there, no one else will be back! A-And, wait! Even if someone is wished back to life, they still have to come back from the afterlife, like Goku did when the Saiyans arrived!"

Bulma was partially right, as she usually was, so this wasn't actually as bad as it seemed. The afterlife system in this world never entirely made sense, but essentially, if someone was a soul, then they could be revived. If you were someone significant, either by having enough power or through being considered 'useful' or 'heroic' by King Yemma, then you could keep your body, but you would remain in Otherworld. To leave Otherworld, you would need someone to teleport you out, like a Kai, or like how Kami did for Goku after he came back from Snake Way. If you weren't considered significant enough to keep your body, then you would remain as a soul and would need to have a body to be wished back into.

That meant that everyone I killed wasn't actually just back in this world, floating around in space right now. Instead, most of them were in Otherworld, and were probably causing a lot of problems for the Kai's - people like King Cold and Cooler would probably be busting out of hell right now. Even then, that was only a small portion of the people I had killed, as most of them would've just been recycled into a new life after finally reaching the front of King Yemma's multiple-mile-long line. Essentially, unless you were super-evil or super-powerful, your soul would already be gone, and you wouldn't be revived. For that reason, the entire Saiyan race wouldn't have been revived by the wish, but only the really bad ones in hell - which was probably most of them, to be fair.

The main concerns weren't everyone Frieza killed coming back to life, but certain groups. The Saiyans were one, and while I was tempted to just leave them to eventually die again in Otherworld as they probably charged out of hell and straight into the Supreme Kai's Ki-blast, I instead decided that teleporting them to Planet Frieza was the better option. They were, overall, a powerful warrior race, as well as an intelligent one, so they would be a pretty significant boon in boosting the Mortal Level of Universe 7. Beyond that, I hadn't yet found out if the Vegeta and Nappa clones could achieve Super Saiyan, since neither Vegeta nor Nappa had reached the form yet themselves, so this would be my backup 'army of Super Saiyans' plan.

But, once again, the Saiyans weren't even my biggest concern, nor why I was rushing to get back to Planet Frieza. I was heading there to deal with the Saiyans, but for right now, I was sure Zarbon's there could keep them in check. Instead, the place I was rushing to was our stop on the way to Planet Frieza - the Big Gete Star.

I didn't know how the Dragon Balls worked entirely, and I didn't know if they could resurrect someone without a soul, but there was one glaring problem right now - Frieza. As in, the clone-Frieza that I had first created, and then immediately murdered upon realizing it was the actual Frieza!

If that clone was brought back to life, then real-Frieza was running around the Big Gete Star right now, and I could be more than fucked. I doubted that he knew how to use the cloning machine, but considering it was being used to clone the Android 16-esque training robots at the moment, he could order them to explain it to him - because they were programmed to be loyal to me, and he was me!

Essentially, in the worst-case scenario, there was an army of real-Frieza's forming on the Big Gete Star right now. They wouldn't be nearly as powerful as I was now, as when I first made the clone, I was only a fraction of my current power level, but they were still Frieza, which meant their growth rate would be insane. I needed to head back there immediately and kill all of them before it got out of hand and before any clone-Friezas escaped. I had initially tried to use one of the Dragon Ball wishes to teleport those Friezas to me, but even if Dende was pretty strong now, he was nowhere near the power of the clone-Frieza, and it wasn't within Shenron's power.

And, the even bigger issue? I was too fuckin' strong! I had also tried to use Shenron to wish me to the Big Gete Star, but it had been 'outside of his power.' Like, I'm the one asking for it, bastard! I didn't know if that had to do with the fact that I was Frieza, and the clones were also Frieza, or if I was just so much stronger than Shenron that he couldn't do it, but I was in an even bigger bind than before.

But, while that was the biggest concern at the moment, there was another glaring one - Cooler and King Cold. Both of them were in Otherworld right now, and should be being dealt with by King Yemma and the Kai's, but that was exactly the problem. The Kai's had to take down a revived Cooler and King Cold, and to be honest, I was doubting that they could.

Aside from Shin, the Supreme Kai, most of the Kai were actually pretty weak and wouldn't be much help against them. In a normal world, Shin would be enough, as he was pretty much on par with Super Saiyan Goku from the Cell arc - but this wasn't a normal world. King Cold had gained a lot of power from training against me before I killed him, and Cooler's power level had exceeded even a billion in his fifth form when I had fought against him.

There was a very real scenario here, where the Kai couldn't handle Cooler and King Cold, and one of two things happened: either Shin was a moron who didn't ask Beerus for help, as he didn't when Buu appeared, and as a result both him and Beerus were killed - or, he did ask Beerus for help, and now Beerus was awake decades earlier than he should've been.

Either way, I was fucked. Beerus couldn't just 'die' - there was a reason I couldn't target the Supreme Kai to take him out. Every universe needed a God of Destruction, and if Beerus was killed, then Zeno might just erase the entire universe - or the Grand Priest would implement another God of Destruction, and one who couldn't be manipulated with good food. Either way, bad news.

On the other hand, if Beerus was awake, then it was even worse news. I was extremely powerful now with my Golden Frieza form and immortality, but I wasn't confident that I could take on Beerus. If he did wake up, there was a very real possibility that he would just kill me for killing Cooler and King Cold, who had been the reason he was woken up.

Of course, there was a third reality where Shin was strong enough to take on both my brother and father, but I couldn't rely on that. Right now, I needed to move quickly - I needed to take out the clones, and then immediately teleport back to Earth. I had left a Zarbon here to use Instant Transmission on, and once I arrived, I would force Kami to bring me to Otherworld to handle Cooler and King Cold. I could've done that before I left, but honestly, I was more concerned about an army of Friezas than I was about Beerus being awakened. Otherworld was pretty huge anyway, so it should still take a while for them to do too much damage, right?

Overall, Goku's wish had put me in a real clusterfuck, and I needed to move quickly.

This situation also reminded me that I needed to implement an 'Instant Transmission Chain' throughout the universe. The Big Gete Star was too far away to pinpoint an energy signature I wasn't familiar with, as there were no Zarbons on it right now, so we needed to use my spaceship. If I could set up a network of Zarbons throughout various planets in the universe, then I could jump between them and get anywhere in the universe pretty quickly with Instant Transmission.

"I had Dende remove the 'only once per person' and 'dead less than a year' conditions," I told Bulma as I spun around, continuing to stride towards the control room of my ship, "I'll be back in a second."

I vanished, using Instant Transmission as I quickly went to the control room, ordered actual-Zarbon to head for the Big Gete Star, and then appeared back in front of Bulma.

When I arrived back, Bulma stared at me for a long moment before she sighed, rubbing her face with her palm, "You changed the Dragon Balls? Really?"

"They can do a lot more things now," I smirked a bit, still proud of my actions, even if they were fucking me over right now, "What's the point of limiting them if I'm the one using all the wishes? I had Dende completely overhaul them - shorter cooldown, more wishes, the balls don't scatter after use, no time limits, a bunch of other shit. Everything optimized. The Frieza Balls are like the Dragon Balls, but better!"

"The… the Frieza Balls?" Bulma's eye twitched, looking at me incredulously, "You renamed them to the Frieza Balls?!"

"Well, I prefer 'rebranded' but same thing," I waved my hand dismissively, chuckling, "You don't spend a month training a child Namekian under an army of Zarbons and not rebrand the product. They're connected to my lifeforce now, so I can name them whatever I want!"

"So, what do we do now?" Bulma just sighed, pushing past my renaming antics, "Just go clean up everyone that was brought back to life?"

"Yup," I nodded easily, "Mainly just one, then make sure the Saiyans behave. But, until then, it's time to destress."

"Destress?" Bulma blinked, tilting her head at me as my eyes scanned down, looking at her voluptuous body, and then back up to her face, "Y-You mean sex?!"

"You said it, not me," I grinned, holding up my hands innocently as Bulma flushed.

Hey, could you blame me? Goku just fucked up everything and possibly caused all my plans to be completely ruined! I could at least distract myself with clapping cheeks until we got to the Big Gete Star!

"W-Well…" Bulma flushed deeper, reaching down as she toyed with the waist of her shirt, "I-If it's to destress… then you would probably be pretty rough… hehe…"

I looked at her dryly. Whenever I thought I was going low, this freaky-ass woman would just go lower!

But, she wasn't entirely wrong. For the next couple of days, as my ship launched towards the Big Gete Star, the sound of cheeks clapping was loud enough to be heard all throughout the ship - and, to turn a certain blonde android into a blushing mess from the noise.
