Carol Danvers, known as the strongest superhero in the Marvel Universe, was beyond doubt a terrifying existence in terms of power.
But Nolan's confidence in his own strength was just as unquestionable.
Since Carol Danvers wanted to show him what real power looked like, Nolan did not mind letting her witness the strength of a Third Generation Super Soldier.
And so, both of them unleashed their full power without holding anything back.
Blinding golden light erupted from Carol Danvers, illuminating the dark land as if it were day.
Nolan, on the other hand, showed no obvious external change, but his presence grew increasingly heavy and solemn.
In the distance, countless drones were flying toward the battlefield from various factions.
They all wanted to find out what was happening here.
The previous battle had been too terrifying.
Even though it was in a remote area, the ground had already been heavily destroyed.
Yet no one still knew the identities of the two fighters, which made everyone uneasy.
At S.H.I.E.L.D., Maria Hill was monitoring the battlefield through drone feeds.
She cursed under her breath.
Damn it.
It really was Nolan and Carol Danvers.
At that moment, Maria Hill even regretted allowing former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury to summon Carol Danvers back from space.
Nolan was currently Earth's most important line of defense, without question.
Not only because of his personal strength, but also because he controlled all of Locke Tech's technology and its entire army of robots.
Everything was under his command.
After the previous incident, everyone had realized that Nolan might have left hidden backdoors inside his machines.
But until now, no one had been able to analyze or remove them.
If Nolan were injured, or if he ever turned against humanity, the consequences would be catastrophic, even apocalyptic.
Compared to that, Carol Danvers was powerful, but only powerful.
If Maria Hill had to choose, she would still choose Nolan over Carol Danvers.
But right now, she had no way to stop this fight.
It had already exceeded S.H.I.E.L.D.'s capabilities.
No one on Earth could stop them anymore.
She could only pray that the outcome would not be mutual destruction, and that the conflict would not escalate further, especially not at a time when they needed to prepare for Thanos.
But even she knew very clearly that the situation had already become extremely complicated.
It was hard to imagine the two of them working together against Thanos.
Her opinion no longer mattered.
At that moment, Carol Danvers suddenly charged toward Nolan.
She swung her fist, her entire body bursting with radiant energy as she attacked relentlessly.
Nolan responded with his full strength as well, combining his abilities and physical power to meet her head-on.
Unfortunately, his Third Generation Super Soldier transformation was not yet fully complete.
Otherwise, defeating Carol Danvers would not have been difficult at all.
Even so, as their battle intensified, Carol Danvers grew increasingly shocked.
She had believed that once she used her full power, Nolan would be easily defeated.
Reality, however, slapped her hard in the face.
Nolan's strength was not much greater than hers, but his abilities were bizarre and unpredictable.
It made it nearly impossible for her to engage him in direct confrontation.
Damn it.
Carol Danvers cursed in frustration.
She could not accept this reality.
Before coming to Earth, she had already planned to teach Nolan a lesson.
Every moment on her way here had been filled with thoughts of this confrontation, even more than thoughts of Thanos.
But now, instead of beating Nolan down, she was being suppressed.
Nolan smiled as he watched her expression.
"So this is your so-called strongest power? So this is Captain Marvel? The strongest superhero on Earth, no, in the entire universe?"
His tone carried undisguised mockery.
He was genuinely pleased.
He had finally gotten revenge for what happened last time.
Suddenly, Nolan threw a punch straight into Carol Danvers' face.
The impact sent her crashing downward violently.
She slammed into the ground, creating a massive crater.
"Still want to continue?" Nolan asked as he landed beside the crater, looking down at her.
Carol Danvers slowly stood up.
Her face was filled with unwillingness, but she did not attack again.
The outcome of the battle made it clear there was a gap between them.
Continuing would mean nothing.
More importantly, she understood something very clearly.
Nolan's true power was not his body.
It was his machines.
And now that Nolan himself was already this strong, she could hardly imagine how terrifying Locke Tech had become.
"So, you do not want to continue anymore?" Nolan said with a faint smile.
"Then we should talk about something else."
"You broke into Locke Tech Tower without notice, destroyed the roof, and landed directly in my office."
"That is a very rude act."
"As an adult, I assume you were educated properly."
"Since you no longer want to fight, we should now discuss compensation."
"You clearly understand the consequences of your actions, especially since you failed to beat me."
Carol Danvers' face turned pale and red with anger.
"What do you want!"
Her tone was still defiant.
Even now, she refused to submit.
"What do I want?"
Nolan suddenly snapped back.
"Nothing."
He was clearly irritated now.
He had no intention of dealing with Carol Danvers in the first place.
After his experience with another version of her in a different world, he had complicated feelings, even if he still disliked this one.
But he had not intended to escalate things.
However, she came to his doorstep and provoked him.
What was he supposed to do?
Kill her?
That was neither realistic nor necessary.
And despite everything, she had not committed a crime worthy of death.
More importantly, because of his connection to another Carol Danvers in a different universe, he did not want to push things too far.
The multiverse existed.
It was possible he would meet her again someday in another world.
If he killed her here, things would become awkward beyond measure.
His thoughts were interrupted by a voice nearby.
"Well, well, look at this."
The tone was playful, carrying a hint of amusement.
Nolan turned toward the source.
Hela was standing there with a faint smile.
"Why are you here?" Nolan asked.
Hela wore a leather outfit and glanced at Carol Danvers before walking closer.
"I live in New York. With such a big fight happening, how could I not notice?"
"And the moment I arrived, I saw you two… flirting."
Nolan rolled his eyes.
Flirting?
There was absolutely nothing like that.
He could tolerate Hela's sarcasm normally, but not today.
"If you are here just to talk nonsense, you should leave," Nolan said coldly.
His mood was already bad.
Hela smiled lightly.
"Relax. I just did not expect Earth to have another strong superhero like her."
"But she seems weaker than you."
"So what is she doing here? Planning to fight Thanos?"
"Correct," Nolan replied.
Hela chuckled.
"I have never heard a funnier joke."
"She might handle small enemies, but Thanos would cut her down before she even understands what happened."
At that moment, Carol Danvers turned her gaze sharply toward Hela.
She did not know who this woman was.
But she would not tolerate being mocked.
So she moved instantly.
She charged at Hela with explosive speed and energy.
Hela only smiled.
She raised her hand and caught Carol Danvers' punch directly.
Their forces collided violently, but Hela held her fist firmly in place.
"This is your power?" Hela said mockingly.
"Not impressive."
Once, Hela's power had weakened due to the destruction of Asgard.
But now, with Asgard rebuilding and Locke Tech's assistance, her strength had recovered.
In fact, she was now approaching her peak, possibly even surpassing it.
Compared to her, Carol Danvers had just fought Nolan and was already slightly exhausted.
She was at a clear disadvantage.
Carol Danvers' expression darkened.
She had lost to Nolan, and now she was being suppressed by another woman.
It made her question everything.
She had never lost before.
That confidence was why she had never feared Thanos.
Meanwhile, in the drone feeds, Maria Hill's expression grew even darker.
"That is Hela?"
She could not believe what she was seeing.
Hela was supposed to be a terrifying entity with ambitions to rule Asgard and Earth.
She thought Hela had already left Earth.
But now she was here.
And worse, she seemed to be aligned with Nolan.
If these two truly stood together, Maria Hill could not imagine any force on Earth capable of opposing them.
Not just Earth.
Even combined with Asgard and its allied realms, it would still be impossible.
For the first time, she felt relief that Nolan was still on Earth's side.
Otherwise, Earth would already be finished.
But now the real question was this.
What would happen when these three of the most powerful beings on Earth stood together?
