Chapter 239 - A prisoner and a jailer of evil that cannot be humiliated

A girl arrived swiftly.

"My dear… are you alright?"

It was Amon we are speaking of.

The guards helped him into a chair to rest. She asked him, weeping:

"What happened to you?"

He told her:

"Don't worry… I am fine. I just felt something."

He looked at his hand and said:

"It seems the seal… has been broken. The seal I placed on Kim."

Amon was in a state of complete shock.

"How did this happen? Was he fighting someone? Is he alright now?"

He grit his teeth so hard his lips began to bleed.

"Damn it… it seems he is in danger… or the world itself is in danger."

Then—

A message appeared to everyone in the world, to all the Great Worlds, and to everyone who had reached a status beyond the power of all. Their skill windows opened automatically, causing Amon to fall to the ground.

The message read:

> **The Age of Blood has begun.**

Everyone across all worlds was in a state of chaos.

"What? The Age of Blood?!"

"That was 900 million years ago!"

"How can this be? They used to tell stories about it!"

"Was it real?"

Amon muttered:

"The Age of Blood… The Emperor was in it. How? Is it a resurrection technique or what?"

Then a second message appeared, in a cracked, bloody hue:

> **Welcome the Ninth King…**

> **Kim…**

> **The Embodiment of Annihilation and Eradication.**

Some were anxious. Some thought it was a joke. Some did not care. But certain individuals… those who knew this name… were silent.

First among them was Amon.

"Kim… no… NOOOO! This is a lie!"

The girl beside Amon—his wife—asked him:

"My dear… do we know him?"

He told her:

"No. You do not know him. Only I know him."

She looked at him with concern. "Was he an enemy… or a friend?"

He looked at her grimly. "In this state… he will kill those with him and those against him."

He rose quickly. The guards ran after him, and his wife tried to stop him from leaving. He told her:

"No one can help him but me."

He left her, summoned a rapid portal, and traveled across several worlds in search of him.

Returning to Kim, he found the same window. Everything sent to everyone was also sent to him. He looked at his body; half was burning with ash, the other falling into darkness.

He said:

"I will kill you all. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Feathers began falling from above. From among them, a girl appeared, bowed, and said:

"My Lord… I have found the target."

Angels manifested from the void. Among them was a man, their master. He said to her:

"Well done."

Then he looked at Kim and said:

"So, you are the son of that traitor… aren't you?"

Kim looked at their faces and said: "More enemies? Fine."

He rushed toward them. Some summoned defensive spells to protect the group from Kim's attack, but the leader left them and charged toward Kim as well. He summoned a sword of light, saturated with life energy, and lunged to cut Kim down.

But Kim caught the blade and shattered it.

The leader was astonished. Kim said to him:

"Are you a fool? Light blinds the eyes. You are right about that. But darkness… is what devours the light in the end."

He threw him away, but the leader quickly retorted:

"Light devours darkness! Hahaha… you fool. You speak of delusions. You have killed many people. You killed your mother too."

Kim's eyes widened, as if they were returning to normal. The leader thought to himself: *"It seems his emotions are what control him."*

He rushed at him and said: "She died because of you."

But Kim instantly returned to his transformation, gripped the leader's neck, and asked: "How did you know?"

Kim muttered internally: *"He has a mind-reading skill."*

He unleashed his power. The leader screamed in agony until his entire body turned to ash. The angels were terrified. Kim thought they were terrified of him, but they were whispering:

"How? Why doesn't he come back to life? Did he erase the target from existence permanently?"

Everyone put their hands over their mouths and said:

"Kim… son of error… if our destruction is inevitable in facing you, we will continue to fight you until extinction. We will protect the System and the worlds with our souls. Even if we perish, let it be for your execution."

Kim's smile widened, and the terror grew.

"Heh… hahahahaha… You killed me. You say I am an error? I don't deny it. But why do you speak so ill of my mother? Is she not of your own kind, you angels? I hate you. I truly hate you intensely. You are ready to kill and deny your bonds for a false hypocrisy called justice and balance. You were only taught a triviality called 'The Absolute Law.' But… has even one of you ever questioned this law?"

Their eyes widened. Kim continued:

"Is what you follow truly a real law? Or just meaningless orders? And who issued them? Never lie to one who has known the darkness—the darkness caused by the light fleeing from his eyes. Light is a right… and darkness is a virtue. But you must know that not everything is bad, and everything that seems perfectly ideal… is a fake thing, or built upon something corrupt."

"If there were a fully mature tree, with beautiful and good fruit, but there was one single rotten fruit… what would you do?"

They were bewildered and looked at one another. Kim shouted again in a loud, angry voice:

"What would you do, you bastards?!"

One said: "We would stay away from the rotten fruit."

Another said: "We would pick all the fruit except that one."

A third said: "We would pluck the rotten fruit so it does not corrupt the others."

Everyone trembled because they knew the truth, but they did not want to say it.

Kim then said:

"None of you said that all fruits deserve life… except the rotten one. Is this truly what must be done?"

They all replied: "Yes."

Kim interrupted: "Then why did no one look at the rotten fruit as if it deserved life too? Why did everyone judge that it must die?"

A girl said: "Because it spoils the beauty of the other fruits."

Kim said: "The beauty of the fruits? Hahaha… you are truly a group of hypocrites. You do not look at the real picture. The rotten fruit… was protecting its siblings from becoming corrupt like itself. But do you know the reason for its corruption?"

They all asked: "What?"

Kim continued:

"Because it was perfect. Better than everyone. So corruption went to it, to make it one with it. But that fruit… accepted its fate to be corrupted. Why did it accept this? Because it knew that if it took this thing inside itself, it would be the best one to control it, in order to protect its siblings."

"And that decision… was what led to its destruction. It thought if it became corrupt to protect everyone, it would receive thanks or love. But the opposite happened. Everyone hated it. They looked at it as incomplete. Not ideal. That it did not deserve to be created with them."

"Therefore, you must know… that what you choose in your life for someone… they must return the same feeling to you. And I now… am ready to destroy everyone."
