After the big flash, he slowly opened his eyes.
To his shock, a gigantic dragon stood before him, its scales gleaming under the light.
"Is this real?" he whispered in disbelief.
The dragon lowered its massive head, bowing in front of him. It had chosen him as its master. From that moment, all control of the dragon was his.
With trembling steps, he climbed onto the dragon's back. The beast spread its wings, and together they soared into the skies, taking a trial flight across the city. The wind rushed past him, and for the first time, he felt the true power of the creature beneath him.
Then it struck him
The old man had given him this task on purpose. The real goal was never just the demon or the sword, but to become the master of the dragon.
He laughed with joy as the dragon dived and climbed through the clouds. It was an unforgettable ride.
But when they returned, his joy turned to concern. From the giant door left open after his dragon emerged smaller dragons began to pour out, dozens of them. The door, he realized, was a portal to the dragon's world, once sealed long ago after a great incident.
Now, the smaller dragons scattered across the city.
"If you want to control them," the old man's words echoed in his mind, "the people must prove themselves worthy."
As the sun rose, the townsfolk stepped out of their homes only to freeze in shock. Tiny dragons perched on rooftops, statues, and trees, while others circled above the city.
"Is this a dream… or reality?" someone whispered.
The city was in chaos. Some people tried to chase the dragons away, while others approached with courage, attempting to tame them. To everyone's astonishment, a few succeeded gaining the trust of the creatures and even flying with them into the morning sky.
