Something was wrong with the death being replayed in that phenomenon. The crime was happening in an area close to where Kylo was standing, an area that by coincidence, was full of people every night because of the brothels. Yet, for some reason, there were no screams, no people running scared, no cries for help over someone who had just died. The zone looked completely normal, unlike what the reflection was showing.
"Don't try to deceive me, show yourself!" (Kylo demanded, his voice cutting through the rain as he faced the empty, distorted reflection.)
Seconds later, in a puddle of water, another reflection appeared, this time showing a person being murdered in Cambridge, a memory from when Kylo still existed as Jack. That's when Kylo understood.
"So it seems that by spending every day listening to the memories the rain granted me access to, memories from both this world and the other, my ability as a mage has evolved. What was once limited to hearing has now expanded. Now i can see these memories with my own eyes through what feels like a water-based portal. Not only that, but i can now distinguish between illusions meant to torment those without power and the visions that are real. I am happy but i was not expecting the smell of blood coming from this death."
