"Fang, you're sucking too hard!"
"Ah, I'm going to die!"
In the Underground Room of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, a conversation that left much to the imagination could be heard.
Of course, if the two parties in the conversation were Fang Yuan and Old Magneto, it would be... even more imaginative.
The reality, however, was that Fang Yuan was indeed sucking Magneto, just not with his mouth or any other strange place.
He took his hand off Old Magneto, who slumped completely onto the sofa.
"Absorption ability doesn't increase development progress. One-star review," Fang Yuan muttered to himself.
[Character Template: Anna Marie (A+ Grade, 17% Development)]
Besides Phoenix, Rogue's Character Template was also a major harvest for Fang Yuan.
Rogue herself naturally didn't have 17% development; she didn't even have 7%.
However, Fang Yuan's control over abilities was much higher than Rogue's, so the same ability became immediately usable once it reached him.
So, Fang Yuan had a sudden whim that day: if he used Rogue's ability to absorb other employees, could he increase the Character Template's development progress?
Thus, Old Magneto suffered.
Initially, Fang Yuan had planned to absorb Logan, but Logan had eagerly followed Scott and Jean on a mission to fight Sentinels, acting as a third wheel in the process. Fang Yuan had no choice but to fix his wicked gaze on Old Magneto, who was staying at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters with his old friend.
Unfortunately, Fang Yuan's attempt to exploit this bug was unsuccessful.
"It didn't work?"
Old Magneto panted heavily. Seeing Fang Yuan's frustrated face, he actually felt a bit relieved.
If it had worked, he probably would never have escaped those clutches in the future.
"If it weren't for the fact that you saved the World, I wouldn't let you ruin me like this," Old Magneto thought to himself.
Fang Yuan countered dissatisfiedly, "What do you mean 'ruin'? Do you even know how to use words?"
Old Eric's brow furrowed. "You really do have Charles's ability!"
He and Old Charles had privately discussed Fang Yuan's motives. Neither of these two old men would believe that Fang Yuan helped them truly for the sake of Multiverse peace.
The conclusion of their discussion was that while it wasn't clear what Fang Yuan stood to gain, the path he took to get what he needed was definitely fame.
After all, according to Logan, the Mutants in the other X-Men World had been turned into Awakened by Fang Yuan, and the original X-Men had even become top-tier celebrities.
And in this World, Sebastian Shaw had also founded a Vought Corporation to do the exact same thing; it certainly wasn't a coincidence.
Now Old Magneto completely understood: Fang Yuan could obtain their abilities through fame.
Fang Yuan wasn't surprised at all that his secret had been guessed.
He knew this pattern couldn't be hidden from smart people like Bruce Wayne or the Ancient One, so he had never specifically hidden it.
Not showing his abilities normally was merely to prevent others from seeing through his strength and targeting him.
"Since you know, why aren't you being a bit more polite to me?" Fang Yuan said to Old Magneto with hands on his hips. "Believe it or not, I'll have you drooling while eating a lollipop in front of Mary?"
Old Magneto was instantly exasperated, then finally nodded. "Fine, I promise you, I'll take you to find Jimmy."
Jimmy was the young boy from X-Men 3 whose ability was to negate the powers of other Mutants.
To be precise, his ability was to suppress the Mutant gene.
Even someone as strong as Magneto would be affected by his power. In X-Men 3, humans developed the Mutant Cure by studying Jimmy.
Of course, it was temporary.
In the original plot, Magneto loathed Jimmy, but in Fang Yuan's view, the Mutant Cure was practically a great act of merit.
Powerful Mutants like Magneto certainly wouldn't want to lose their abilities, but those with such powerful powers only accounted for a tiny fraction of the total Mutant population.
Most Mutants had physical deformities, or their abilities were weak or even negatively impacted their lives. If they had a chance to become normal people, they would absolutely not pass it up.
"So back then you wanted to kill Jimmy without any regard for the feelings of ordinary Mutants, right?" Fang Yuan squinted at Magneto. "You keep talking about the Brotherhood of Mutants, but those with flaws aren't your brothers, is that it?"
Old Magneto felt a bit awkward and answered unnaturally, "I was blinded by hatred at the time and didn't consider that much."
Fang Yuan didn't continue teasing Old Magneto because he still needed him to lead the way.
In the past, Magneto saw Jimmy as a thorn in his side, but Fang Yuan saw Jimmy as a treasure.
The Mutant Cure was a good thing; so many Mutants in the World who were dissatisfied with their abilities all needed this stuff.
For example, Rogue in the plot was miserable because she couldn't touch others, and eventually chose to inject the medicine.
If Fang Yuan mastered this technology and let out even a little hint, wouldn't the Mutants go crazy?
When the time came, Fang Yuan would set up a point system where they had to do a certain amount of work for him to earn enough points for the medicine. Then he would have another bunch of leeks.
That's right, Fang Yuan was even going to harvest the Mutant leeks.
He had contributed so much to the Mutants; what was wrong with harvesting a few crops?
He was teaching the Mutants the value of gratitude.
When he first arrived in this World, Fang Yuan had his eye on Jimmy, but he couldn't find him anywhere. Thus, Fang Yuan realized he must have been hidden by Professor X.
Now that the Sentinel crisis was resolved and the Mutants had made a comeback, Fang Yuan had every right to ask for Jimmy.
What Old Charles knew, Old Eric certainly knew as well.
However, Magneto and Wolverine both had mental barriers placed on them by Old Professor X. Jimmy's location couldn't be searched for even by Fang Yuan, so he went directly to Magneto.
Fortunately, after some friendly communication, Old Magneto finally told him Jimmy's location.
Old Magneto: "So I was being interrogated under torture just now?"
Of course, this was definitely done with Professor X's approval, otherwise Old Magneto wouldn't have revealed a thing to Fang Yuan.
"Jimmy is only seven years old right now, don't scare him," Old Magneto urged.
A brilliant smile appeared on Fang Yuan's face. "Of course, don't worry."
"I'm best at dealing with children."
Two days later, a new student—a little bald boy—joined Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
Jimmy's enrollment met no obstacles. Although the authorities had noticed his ability, Mutants weren't like they were before; without the approval of Mutant giants like Professor X and Shaw, even the government couldn't forcibly keep Jimmy.
Furthermore, among the current government officials, most of those hostile to Mutants had already disappeared.
With the Sentinel crisis being so massive, it was normal for a few officials to die, right?
Not to mention that when the Sentinels first went on a rampage, the factions hostile to Mutants were the very first battlefields to break out... ahem, all coincidences.
Just as the remnants of the sentinel robots appearing now always happened to take away some anti-Mutant protesters—if you ask, it's just a coincidence.
The former was Fang Yuan's doing, while the latter was the Good Big Brother carrying forward advanced experience.
However, just as Fang Yuan was studying Jimmy's genes, Logan suddenly found him and sent a team-building invitation.
"Want to go take someone out?"
"Take who out?"
"William Stryker!"
