"You know, this is interesting, don't you think?" Qyraen says, taking a step forward. I take a deep breath and take a step too. I should make use of my speed — with her wearing armor and me without, it's the only advantage I have.
"There's nothing interesting about this, you lunatic!" She gives a scornful smile.
"You really don't know how to seize possibilities." She advances, and the movement forces me back. She kicks the ground, hurling gold coins at me. To avoid getting hit, my tail presses against the floor and launches me upward, and I dodge a thrust from her spear.
"I-If I die, wouldn't that be a failure?!" I say, alarmed by the strike as I land softly on the ground. That wasn't a restrained blow — she clearly meant to seriously injure me.
