Something sat on a throne of corpses surrounded by everything, each corpse was dressed in a white gown their names scribbled unto the floor.
The black door opened and light seeped through, the sound of footsteps echoed in the silent room as a mysterious figure approached something but before moon could see what happened next, he was dragged away.
Moon woke up gasping for air as if he had been drowning, his body was covered in sweat and his eyes were blood shot red, he tried to move but he couldn't he was bound to a bed with ropes.
"Wait, a bed"
The fact he was currently lying on a clean soft bed not just some piece of wood or a dirty blanket shocked moon and two things came to mind either the strange man he encountered was rich or he had been transported to the sky as a lab rat.
The latter scared him beyond words could describe.
He tried to free himself by wiggling but that didn't work then he tried to break the rope but even with all his strength, it was impossible, to him the rope was indestructible.
Moon's face twisted in fear "damn it, damn it, if I don't get outta here I'm gonna live the rest of my life in pain then end up as a monster"
The sound of creaking suddenly filled the room as the door was slowly opened, moon could hear footsteps from different parts of the room, to him it sounded like someone was dancing then the sound of footsteps was followed by screeching and then there was complete silence.
Moon was frightened by the sudden silence his eyes were closed leaving him in darkness, his body was bound to a bed, he couldn't even lift a finger, he was completely at the mercy of a stranger.
"I know you're your awake"
The sound of the soft, tender voice of a girl surprised him but also relieved some of the fear, he slowly opened his eyes to a slender young woman sitting on a wooden chair wearing a white gown, her pale skin, blue eyes and white hair were complimented by the radiant sunlight piercing through the window.
the first words that came to moon's mind was beautiful and the second was star.
Unbeknownst to him he actually said those words out loud out of habit of always speaking his mind, his face turned bright red but the girl was expressionless and she said
"Are you hungry"
Moon nodded and she jumped off the chair almost playfully and walked over to the door.
"I didn't actually know you were awake" she said smiling and left moon alone in the room cursing himself.
After the girl left and moon was done cursing himself, he took a good look around himself, the walls, the floor and the roof were all made of wood, real wood, even the chair and cupboard at the corner of the room were made of real wood.
Moon's eye widened "who the hell has this kinda money"
Even if the girl didn't seem dangerous, i am still tied to a bed, are they scared I'll run away but that would mean they need something from me but what could a peasant like me have that they would want
Just then the door flung open, a man wearing a fine brown leather suit and a monocle walked into the room the room and sat on the wooden chair next to moon's bed.
moon recognised his face instantly and his brows furrowed "bastard, why the hell am I tied up"
"Calm down, brat" the man said nonchalantly "first let me introduce myself, I am atlas the eight arch mage of the sky kingsmdom Lardos"
Lardos isn't that the city that worships the sun god, wait did he just say arch mage, this guy right here is an arch mage
Moon scoffed "you really want me to believe you're an arch mage, everyone knows that each sky kingdom has only eight arch mages, they are a kingdom's greatest weapon next to the divine beast and you want me to believe you're one them"
"What, you don't believe me"
Moon smiled "hell no, I don't, who the hell would believe that and what the hell would an arch mage be doing on the ground"
Atlas laughed then he smiled "okay kid, I'll give you proof of who I am"
The space around them seemed to shift and twist, moon lost his sense of direction, to him there was no up or down, no left or right, he was completely lost, a sickening feeling crept up from his gut and his body felt like it was burning.
"What your experiencing right now is mana sickness, it caused by the body absorbing too much mana in the air, it starts with disorientation then the feeling of burning then suffocation until the person end's up as a bloody mess"
Atlas voice echoed in moon's head like the beats of a drum, he couldn't understand what Atlas was saying, he just wanted the pain to stop.
"Ouch, celeste"
"Stop, it's annoying"
"Okay, okay"
Moon felt the awful pain slowly receed leaving behind only a terrible headache, he opened his eyes to the beautiful girl kicking Atlas off the chair.
Atlas frowned and sat on the floor "this isn't fair"
The beautiful girl sat on the chair and smirked "life isn't fair"
Moon was still lying there in shock but then he laughed, he found the entire situation hilarious, he was tied to a bed while an supposedly arch mage was bullied by a little girl.
"You want one" the girl said offering him strange pieces of something on a plate that was actually clean and white.
Moon furrowed his eye brows, suspicious of the food and the girl, he stared at her for a while but there was no sense of malice or ill intent so he opened his mouth and the girl fed him a piece.
Moon's eyes widened "What the hell is this, it's delicious" moon opened his mouth again for another piece and girl fed him again.
"Oh, my name is celeste, nice to meet you moon"
"Nice to meet you too" he said still chewing.
Atlas watched them with a warm smile then cleared his throat "that's enough, it's time the brat and me have a little talk" he stared at moon "let's go on a little walk"
"Untie me first"
"Oh right".
