The reason being, the most worthy Guardian for Trace Origin and Steal Fortune didn't have any light points appear, strangely.
It's unclear whether it's because it doesn't count as life and has no Qi Number, or because, being from the Three Immortal Islands, the opponent can suppress Qi Numbers which he cannot seize.
Chen Ping estimated that it was mostly the first point.
That was a bamboo spirit and possibly not even that, at most a puppet made of bamboo branches with a bit of spirituality inside, thus capable of following orders.
It should be similar to the legendary paper men, paper horses, and Yellow Turban Warriors.
If there's no Qi to seize, so be it; Chen Ping was not disappointed anyway.
