The Demon Race's lineage was severed several hundred years later due to the incompetence of its descendants. However, this outcome was destined from the very beginning.
The two painting demons were unable to preserve their identity and the culture of the Demon Race for the next generation through any public means. As the first generation of Saints on the Xiangzhou Continent, the lives of the painting demons were sorely lacking in secrecy; their every move was watched by many. Thus, even the simple act of choosing male or female offspring was accomplished under great risk, making it difficult to raise children who embraced Demon Race heritage since young children could not possibly keep secrets.
