The second course was soup, a cream soup, and Yi Roujing quite enjoyed the sweet, rich, slightly salty taste.
Next came foie gras, and the main course was steak. The beef was extremely tender and smooth, and Yi Roujing could tell from the first bite that this was no ordinary beef. The cut was excellent, with a rich marbling that was far superior to what they had eaten the day before.
Shrimp salad, pudding for dessert, and finally some fruit juice, likely because they considered that children wouldn't drink tea. For her and Nanny Song, it was coffee instead.
