Thinking about how Caleb Lockwood helped her get the signature, and realizing this was her own Dr. Lockwood's notebook, Serena Sutton couldn't bear to show it to anyone else.
She cleared her throat and retrieved the notebook from Ginger Sloan's hands: "Just a quick look is enough. I need to treasure this and can't let you damage it."
Ginger looked at her in shock. The girl was behaving unusually today. In the past, whenever there was something new, everyone would pass it around to admire it, like when someone bought a new dress, everyone would try it on.
This is what a girls' dorm is like.
But today, Serena was so protective of this notebook that Ginger seemed to understand something. She narrowed her eyes and said, "This was given to you by your Dr. Lockwood?"
Serena: "Almost certainly."
Upon hearing this, Ginger looked up at the ceiling: "Oh my, what a divine boyfriend! I'm so jealous."
Serena hugged the notebook and lowered her eyes to glance at it again, smiling happily.
