Suddenly, being embraced by him like this, Serena Sutton felt a bit caught off guard.
The man held her tightly, as if afraid she would leave the next second.

Serena's voice was soft, asking gently. She genuinely wanted to know what had just happened, but she also needed to respect Caleb Lockwood.
Caleb didn't directly answer her question. He tidied her hair and slightly parted his thin lips, "Let's go home."
