Serena Sutton had no idea what was going on with Caleb Lockwood over there; she just asked with concern, "Your father's illness isn't anything serious, right?"
Caleb walked to the window and pulled open the curtains. Everything in the room was still the way it had been when he left, very tidy.
His tall figure stood in front of the window. Looking out from here should be facing the direction of Northwood. He gazed outside and answered calmly, "Yeah."
The illness was just an excuse. Miles Lockwood's life was tough; he wasn't going to die for now. But he hadn't planned on telling her any of this. She didn't need to worry about these things.
