Serena Sutton accompanied her grandmother for a CT scan, while her father was with them that afternoon. It was said that Ms. Hayes had taken on another patient. When Serena returned to school, Caleb Lockwood had not yet come out of the operating room.
She didn't want to disturb him. In two days, it would be National Day, and the volunteer association still needed to hold a meeting.
