Dominic threw the spear forward while clasping his hands together in front of his chest. As the spear flew, it split into two, then four, then eight, and by the time it reached Duke, it had become dozens of identical spears, each trailing dark purple energy.
Duke's response was a giant four-color hand. As the shadow spears flew, metallic yellow sand rapidly converged, forming an enormous dark golden palm as tall as Duke himself, with its five fingers open, four-color divine light flowing and surging across its surface.
The giant hand pushed forward, and the instant the spears struck its surface, they were crushed into powder. The dark purple runes on the spear tips were snuffed out by the four-color divine light at the rule level before they could explode.
The giant hand did not pause and continued to advance, its five fingers gradually closing in during the advance, grasping the shadow fragments that were still flying in mid-air, and then suddenly slapping in Dominic's direction.
