Landon Ford got off work and brought Thea Shaw to the nursing home to visit the old man whom he hadn't seen in a long time.
This was their second meeting, but Thea already behaved as if she was quite familiar.
Upon seeing the old man, she obediently called out, "Hello, Grandpa Ford."
The old man smiled kindly. Having stayed in the nursing home for a long time, he was calm and appeared increasingly kindly, except for that distinctive aura, he wasn't much different from any other old man.
"It's kind of you to come and see me."
The old man grabbed Landon Ford's hand and started belittling Warren Ford: "He's nothing like my ungrateful son! It's been a year, and I haven't even seen him!"
Landon Ford pressed his lips into a faint smile. To demonstrate his 'filial piety', he rarely spoke up for Warren Ford: "Dad is just busy with work, that's all."
The old man snorted coldly: "What's more important than me, his father?"
