"What's wrong?"
Miss Chi looked at the old man's slowly departing figure and spoke up, her ears suddenly echoing with Song Shiyu's voice, snapping her back to reality.
"It's nothing, I just feel that his last words had some other meaning."
It's an intuition, one of Miss Chi's instincts.
Not just that last sentence, but the previous words too, she felt they were problematic.
Could there be other intentions behind it all?
"No worries, soldiers come to block, water covers when it arrives."
Song Shiyu squinted, and Miss Chi could hear it, and of course, he could hear it too.
The old man was conveying a message, but it was not excluded he was trying to confuse them.
The situation behind this was complicated; they couldn't act recklessly but also couldn't do nothing.
"I'll send someone to fetch the Amber, you stay put, just in case it's a trap."
Miss Chi was just about to go over to take the Amber and leave when she heard Song Shiyu speak again, stopping her.
