When Chi Youyou got home, she saw Song Shiyu sitting in the yard reading a book, with Mimi and Snow lying on either side of him. "Is it that hard? Mimi didn't chase you away?"
"Do you really want to see it chase me away?"
As soon as she made a sound, a person, a tiger, and a leopard all raised their heads simultaneously.
"I'm just curious."
Chi Youyou shrugged. Mimi had already gotten up and was rubbing against her legs.
Not to be left behind, Snow came over to rub against her as well.
"Good, you're all good—I'll reward you with apples later!"
"Roar!"
"Growl!"
"Didn't you say that Tangtang was coming over to play today, where is she?"
After coaxing the tiger and leopard, she glanced inside the house, but didn't see Tangtang. Instead, she saw Chi Zaozao fiddling with parts at the table.
"Something came up at her house; she's already gone back."
Song Shiyu closed the book, tidied his clothes, and stood up.
