Zhao Mei purposely went to Yangxin Hall, partly to report Zhang Jiao Jiao, but her main aim was to make an impression in Yan Xiu's mind.
Encountering Li Yuyu was unexpected.
Although she didn't know why Li Yuyu was in Yangxin Hall, she was smart enough not to ask.
Xiangru had a point: there's no way the Emperor wouldn't know Li Yuyu left the palace. Since the Emperor doesn't want others to know, she decided to comply with the Emperor's wishes and help Li Yuyu keep it a secret if necessary.
Zhao Mei was almost moved by her own thoughtfulness.
She thought, as long as the Emperor knows her intentions and recognizes her intelligence, he would definitely like her.
"You just said Zhang Shunyuan disrespected the ranks and deliberately defied you, even having you thrown out of Shuijing Hall?" Yan Xiu elegantly and slowly wiped each of his fingers as he asked in a light tone.
