Chapter 160 - Chapter 160 — The Knight & The Castle

The Battle Dimension shivered under the weight of impending conflict. Kaelthar and Zerath, the vile twin demons, had their eyes locked on Ishita, their red and black auras twisting like living shadows. Their claws cut through the void, distorting the space around them as if the dimension itself feared them. Every step they took made the void crackle with energy.

"Finally…" Zerath hissed, voice dripping with cruel anticipation. He extended his hand, ready to seize the girl who had survived so much already. Kaelthar mirrored him, each of his four limbs coiling with malice.

Ishita's Scarlet Aura flared weakly, unstable after the recent destruction of Li Wei's Soul Barrier. Though she had survived, she knew her strength was nowhere near sufficient to oppose these upper-rank demons. Her heart pounded in her chest, her body trembling as the twins drew closer.

Then, a sudden shockwave tore through the dimension—a blast of energy so immense that even Kaelthar and Zerath were forced to pause mid-attack. Dust and shards of void energy spiraled violently, and the twins instinctively recoiled, their instincts screaming danger.

From the upper void, a figure emerged—moving with ease through the collapsing energy. A single arm rested casually in his pocket, the other brushing off stray debris, yet each movement radiated unmatched power.

"Sorry I'm late," the man said casually, his voice calm yet carrying an invisible weight that caused even the twin demons to hesitate. "I had to clear 50,000 demons on the surface. Took longer than expected."

Kaelthar froze, mouth agape, claws hovering midair. Zerath's wings flared, energy coiling around him like deadly serpents. "Who… who is this?!" Kaelthar shouted, his two heads tilting in confusion.

The newcomer ignored the question, landing smoothly in front of Ishita. Dust settled around him, but not a single step seemed rushed; every motion was measured, controlled, and utterly unshakable. He extended a hand toward Ishita.

"Ishita," he said softly, almost gently. "Time to get out of this mess."

She blinked, confused, barely able to process what she was seeing. "Z… Zahir? You're… a knight?"

A small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. "Just decided now," he replied, his tone casual but deadly serious. He didn't wait for her to respond. Using his power, he created a protective sphere around her, forcing back the advancing energy from the twins.

The demons hissed, enraged, and fired blasts of destructive energy at them. Zerath conjured a massive black energy sphere, spinning it toward Zahir and Ishita with lethal speed.

Without a single glance, Zahir extended a hand, and the sphere vanished, ripped into a dimensional hole, swallowed into an empty void he controlled. Ishita's jaw dropped. She could feel the raw power radiating from him, the kind that could bend the very laws of this Battle Dimension.

Kaelthar stepped forward, aura flaring aggressively. "You think one mortal can stop us?" he roared. "We are Upper Ranks! No one survives us!"

Zerath hissed, spinning in midair, claws ready to strike. "Yes… we'll feast on her and finish this game properly!"

Zahir tilted his head, unimpressed. His calm demeanor radiated authority, the kind that made even Upper Rank demons hesitate. He adjusted his stance, and from his presence, the Battle Dimension seemed to stabilize slightly, as if responding to him.

"Boss," Kaelthar said, turning his head toward the shadow looming behind him. The Lord Ghost Demon's aura pressed against the dimension like an oppressive tide. "The girl… my Lord… she will be ours. We just need time."

The Lord Ghost Demon's voice rolled like thunder, calm yet terrifying. "Your time is limited. Fifteen minutes only. After that, her aura will belong to me entirely."

The twins turned back to Ishita, their glee momentarily tinged with worry. They had underestimated the calm that accompanied this newcomer. Kaelthar gritted his teeth. "We'll do what we must. Playtime begins now."

Energy tore through the void as Kaelthar and Zerath lunged simultaneously. Red and black auras spiraled around Ishita, flaring dangerously. The attacks collided with Zahir's invisible shields effortlessly. The force slammed into the void walls, cracking fragments of the dimension with every strike.

Ishita clutched the protective sphere surrounding her, marveling at the control this man possessed. Every time the twins struck, he redirected their energy with precision. Every blast, every swipe, every deadly attack was neutralized. She could feel his aura resonating with a warmth that contrasted sharply with the cold malice of the demons around them.

The twins hissed in frustration. "This is impossible!" Zerath shouted. "We're Upper Ranks! No one should block us!"

Kaelthar growled, red aura flaring. "The audacity of this mortal…!"

Zahir ignored them, taking a step closer to Ishita. With a sweep of his hand, he conjured a Luxurious Energy Castle beneath her feet—a throne-like structure built from pure energy. The walls rose around her like golden spires, the air within the barrier calm and protected.

"My Princess," Zahir said, gesturing toward the seat. "You'll sit here. Watch safely. Everything else… I've got."

Ishita hesitated for a moment before obeying, sinking into the energy throne. For the first time since Li Wei's death, a sense of relief and hope washed over her. She could still feel Li Wei's lingering Soul Power, a whisper of his courage, and now she was not alone.

Kaelthar and Zerath's attacks grew wilder, desperate. The twins attempted to combine their powers, blasting destructive energy in tandem, but Zahir's calm, precise manipulation of space redirected everything. Even a massive black void sphere was sent spiraling into the void without touching a single strand of the castle.

Finally, with a snap of his fingers, Zahir isolated the battlefield. Kaelthar and Zerath were forced into a confined space, energy whirling around them, cutting off all escape.

Zerath growled, glancing at Kaelthar. "We can't just brute force through this… can we?"

Kaelthar's eyes narrowed, fists glowing with red power. "We'll find a way. Upper Rank or not… we will break him."

Zahir's smile widened faintly. He extended a hand, focusing his power. The Battle Dimension seemed to respond to him alone now. The remaining fragments of the void shifted subtly, space bending to accommodate his will.

The Lord Ghost Demon hovered silently, observing, his aura calm yet undeniably dangerous. He studied Zahir's every movement, measuring, calculating. "Interesting," he murmured. "This mortal… he is more than I expected. Li Wei's last hope lives through him, perhaps even surpassing it."

Kaelthar and Zerath roared in frustration, realizing their opponent was not just another human. This was a force they could not easily manipulate, a being whose aura warped the very rules of the Battle Dimension.

And so, the stage was set. On one side, Ishita safely ensconced within her energy castle, watching anxiously. On the other, Zahir Al-Fahim, calm, confident, and radiating a power that even the upper-rank demons found unnerving. Facing them were Kaelthar, Zerath, and the Lord Ghost Demon, a triad of malice, brutality, and calculated carnage.

Zahir's gaze met the combined eyes of the three demons. His tone was deadly serious, unwavering.

"Alright," he said, voice echoing across the void, "let's begin the performance of humanity's last hope."

And with that, the Battle Dimension braced itself, the echoes of energy, malice, and destiny colliding in a storm that promised devastation, heroism, and the final clash that could decide the fate of everything.
