The Tokyo streets had become unrecognizable. Lava, frost, shattered concrete, and twisted buildings formed chaotic terrain. In one fractured section, Hyejin's frost-blue aura glimmered against the searing heat from the Ghost Demon's dimensional chaos.
Her eyes were fixed on the approaching menace. Rising from the smoke and rubble were Kael'Thar, the Bone Reaper, and Zerath, the Plague Bringer. Both Upper Demons radiated lethal auras, their combined power warping the already fractured terrain around them.
Kael'Thar hissed, spinning his massive scythe. "Your light is weak. You cannot survive."
Zerath added, his green-black aura crawling like toxic sludge along the ground. "Your frost will rot in my plague."
Hyejin's hands flared, forming frost-tipped daggers of concentrated aura. "Then you'll have to get through me!" she shouted.
Kael'Thar swung his scythe, sending bone shards like missiles. The shards tore through frozen streets, hissing as they met Hyejin's aura. She blocked with frost blades, but several shards grazed her arms, leaving streaks of blood in the frost.
Zerath's plague followed immediately, spreading toxic green clouds around Hyejin's position. Even her frost aura struggled to contain it.
"We'll hold him together!" Akira shouted from the side, charging with Cursed Dragon Fang.
Ethan launched upward, fists glowing with Solar Nova Strike, cutting through Zerath's miasma, evaporating portions of the toxic aura in bursts of blinding light.
Kael'Thar and Zerath, sensing the Wielders' coordinated defense, fused into Kaerath, The Twin Abyss. The air twisted violently as bone and plague combined into a two-headed, four-armed nightmare. Its black-green aura pulsed, each pulse shaking the ground.
Kaerath roared — Abyssal Cataclysm Roar echoing across the fractured city. Lava erupted in waves, and the ground cracked in massive fissures. Hyejin was struck by a concentrated shockwave, losing most of her aura and collapsing to one knee, frost cracks spreading over her skin.
"HYE JIN!" Akira screamed, rushing forward to shield her with his cursed aura.
Ethan hovered above, Solar Nova Strike ready, eyes blazing. "We cannot let her fall! Focus your energy!"
Akira and Ethan coordinated their movements perfectly. Akira slashed Kaerath's arm with Cursed Dragon Fang, leaving deep grooves in the black-green bone. Ethan blasted the exposed limb with Solar Nova, incinerating the fused plague covering it.
Hyejin, barely conscious, drew the last reserves of her aura. Frost spread explosively from her body, freezing parts of Kaerath's legs, slowing its advance.
"I… will… survive," she gasped, forming a massive Moonlight Frost Shield around herself and Akira.
Kaerath's twin heads roared in frustration, lashing with four arms simultaneously. The fused demon's attack was unstoppable, slashing streets, lava, and frost alike, but the three Wielders moved in perfect coordination, parrying and countering relentlessly.
The battlefield became a cinematic spectacle. Frost and solar beams collided against black-green plague and bone. Scarlet and cursed arcs lit the background as Tokyo crumbled around them. Lava, frozen ice, and molten rubble formed shifting terrain.
Akira's attacks cut through Kaerath's limbs. Ethan's solar strikes evaporated the plague residue. Hyejin's frost restricted its movement. Each strike, block, and step felt like the survival of humanity itself.
Despite Kaerath's overwhelming strength, the three Wielders held the line, their combined aura powers creating a pocket of stability in the chaos.
With her last remaining energy, Hyejin channeled a massive burst of Moonlight Frost at Kaerath's fused body, freezing its legs and partially shattering the bone structure.
"Akira… Ethan… now!" she shouted, voice strained.
Akira and Ethan unleashed simultaneous finishing moves. Akira charged a massive cursed slash into Kaerath's left head. Ethan fired a concentrated Solar Nova beam into the right head.
Kaerath staggered, the twin fusion destabilized by the coordinated strike. The blast shattered its lower body, forcing the demon to roar in pain, but not before its aura flared violently, scattering debris across Tokyo.
Hyejin collapsed, frost aura flickering dangerously low.
"I… I'm still alive…" she whispered, barely able to stand.
Kaerath, though damaged, was far from defeated. Its twin heads glared at the Wielders, aura pulsing like a storm of bone, plague, and shadow.
Hyejin leaned on Akira, trembling but determined. Ethan's solar aura flared in protective bursts.
From above, the Ghost Demon's crimson aura pulsed, sensing the turmoil below. His voice echoed like thunder.
"Your feeble resistance amuses me… but it will end soon."
Kaerath rose from the shattered rubble, twice the size, aura flaring ominously, while Hyejin, Akira, and Ethan braced themselves for the next devastating attack.
The split battlefield had become a war of survival against overwhelming odds.
