[Most of the watchers had voted for the former option.]
[The boss monster will be given another chance to fight back.]
[Alert: because of resurrection, the boss monster has been granted full access to his constrained powers.]
The body of the boss monster Amberok began to rise from the ground. His body began to heal; the wounds were gone like they were never there before. The line on his face stretched long; a creepy smile had formed.
As his lips parted, a stream of smoke drifted out of his mouth. His orb-shaped eyes glared at us with sheer malice in them.
"Oh, you're not getting away now." His voice was hoarse.
I watched him, and inwardly, I was chiefly terrified.
"Attack him." I shouted.
As we charged with two blades cutting the air and advancing at the target, sharp metal arms with jagged fingers, two arrow men, a boy with the ability to shoot magical bullets, and a man that can draw magical paint beasts.
Notwithstanding the numbers, Amberok broke past us and dashed away. He leaped from one building to another.
We can't let that happen; if he moves too far, we wouldn't be able to win against him. Although there is no possibility of winning now. Not only had he awakened his power, but the hum-slimes had surrounded us whilst being under the control of the boss monster.
"What now? He will get back." Agitated, Maya questioned me, "I will go with Jaran and—"
"Not yet."
I calmed myself, took a deep breath and looked down at the hum-slimes. They were trying to enter the buildings; however, the struggle for them was the doors. Being under control, they lose a portion of the already negligible intelligence. Not only that, but they weren't able to use their tentacles effectively.
"Bring all the other parties here; there will be a change in our plans."
As they were called, Amberok long had disappeared. Seeing the monster gone and roaming in the city. What fretted the people was that the boss knew about them. And about the future I had told them.
[Ho, ho, now this is amusing to look at. Those frightened expressions.]
We silently scowled at Zaradus. Not only had he made the second game continue on with higher difficulty, but he also gave us a triumphant smirk as if he had won a victory over us.
However, what he didn't know was that. I had expected it; eventually, this would have happened. Although I never wanted it to happen, it did.
[Watcher 'Hero of Hundred Worlds' says, With your ability the game would be a piece of cake; better you lose it or let the game be more fun.]
That's basically unreasonable; having the ability to see the future never changed anything. Fate is already peculiar, and knowing the future alone doesn't help anyone.
You need to amalgamate many things only to change one thing.
I turned and looked at the eyes that were staring at me; there was a fragment of hope still lingering in those eyes.
And far away, brownish liquid amassed in one place, forming a small hill as it grew bigger and bigger until it took a shape. From its one side, it thrust out an arm and leg, then from the left side.
On top, a giant head with a horn atop its scalp appeared.
In the monster's chest was a tiny figure that was controlling it. Amberok.
"How do we defeat that?" Asked Joseph.
What tiny hope that was left shattered into much smaller bits and dissipated. Fear washed over their faces. The monster was towering over 180 feet tall.
A step and we would be crushed under his foot.
[Watcher 'Selfish Pig' is surprised by the sheer size of the monster.]
[Watcher 'Kind Devil' is excited!]
[Watcher 'Eye That Holds a Grudge' is telling his Vessel to fight that monster.]
"This is power!" Amberok shouted, darting a glance at us, "A power to crush you insects!"
This was not the same Amberok I have been with. He wasn't even in the first place; he only tried to deceive me. Showing his true color didn't change anything for me; in the end, I had to fight him.
"Everyone." I got my party's attention. "Ten minutes—can you stay alive for that long?"
I didn't want this if we could have ended it early... Nevertheless, we had to proceed with the changed plan. Instead of killing Amberok, all we have to do is hold on for ten minutes.
And if we did, there is a possibility of survival.
"Will I survive?" An archer with his weak voice said.
"Yes—but ten minutes."
They all nodded and waited for me to give them instructions. One after the other, I had given them instructions. Maya, on the other hand, didn't need one; she already guessed what it was.
My brows raised as I heard her say what was on my mind for her. I didn't need to know her ability through the character's information.
Archer's job was to distract Amberok from the ground and the jins from the air. While Joeph will create his monsters to keep both hum-slimes and the Amberok distracted.
Canny had his own job.
"Can you make an RPG-7?"
Canny looked at me with his one brow raised. Since he was a weapon master, creating any weapon was possible for him. Right now what we needed was an RPG with a powerful rocket. Unlike those normal ones that have no effect on the boss monster, Canny can create a magical one, which has more possibilities of damaging Amberok.
If that works, which it will. We might be able to buy us some more time. However, we didn't just have Canny; Maya Blake had a similar ability. It was called water weaponry; with that, she could create any weapon.
Both of them did as told and they tried creating an RPG while it was still tough for them. They were only capable of making light weapons due to their lack of mastery over the ability.
Before Canny could make one, Maya was first.
"That's unfair! You know much more about it than I do."
"You don't have to go with details; this is magic, and magic doesn't require detail in creating something." I said.
Keeping that in mind, Canny tried again, and this time he succeeded.
