Pamela raised her left hand as Joker's next wave of five clown henchmen rushed towards her, shouting. Pamela raised her Midnight Rose bracelet as it glowed bright green, and with a sharp pulse, dozens of razor-sharp edged leaves exploded outwards in a storm. The sound they made was a high, slicing whistle that filled the tent before blood spattered across the canvas walls. The charging clowns stumbled mid-stride, eyes wide in disbelief as holes tore through their bodies. Within seconds, the screams died out, and five limp forms hit the floor, twitching weakly on the stained floorboards.
Barbara watched them fall and said flatly, "You're going lethal on these dicks, aren't you Pamela?"
Pamela tilted her head slightly and shrugged. "Why not? They don't even have medical coverage in their free henchman health plans. I might as well kill them. I'll be doing the Undercarriage a service."
Barbara nodded her head once, her tone dry. "That's true."
Harley tilted her head to the side. "Huh… that actually makes sense."
The wounded clowns groaned and cursed from on the ground, glaring up at Pamela. One of them raised a trembling hand and shouted hoarsely, "You bitch! You actually went lethal on us! You really unleashed lethal attacks on us!"
Pamela folded her arms across her chest, her tone calm and precise. "I know I did."
The ground beneath her feet shimmered with green light. As a massive stem dropped down from her bracelet and unfurled, revealing a flower that grew as it spread out, it had petals layered like blades of glass. Its center opened up into a gaping mouth lined with serrated teeth that glistened like polished metal. The monstrous bloom twisted, crawling across the floor towards the fallen men as they tried to back away.
The first clown screamed as it reached him. "Jimmy! Hang on, Jimmy!" shouted another, pulling a 9mm pistol from his jacket and firing desperately. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bullets punched through the petals, but the holes sealed instantly, new growth knitting over each wound as Pamela's energy flowed into it. The flower lunged forward, snapping down on Jimmy's chest with a violent crunch.
The shooter screamed, emptying the rest of his clip in panic. When the weapon clicked empty, he threw it at the plant uselessly. The rose twisted toward him, its mouth dripping with sap and blood. A moment later, it swallowed him whole with a wet, cracking sound that echoed through the tent.
Pamela stood motionless, her breath quickening as the plant finished feeding. A soft tremor ran through her body. Her pupils dilated, her skin taking on a faint glow. "Oh… I haven't had a meal like this in a while…"
Barbara raised one eyebrow. "Are you eating those guys and absorbing their vitality Pamela?"
Pamela nodded slowly, the corner of her mouth lifting slightly. Harley crossed her arms, muttering, "I gotta figure out how to get my clown powers to do something like that…"
Joker stood frozen in place, staring at the last of his men vanishing into the monstrous bloom. His voice cracked as he finally spoke. "Holy shit… what the hell is that thing?!"
Harley turned toward him, her tone light but cutting. "Sweetie—oh, I'm sorry, ex-sweetie—I traded up for a new crew. These girls are beautiful and deadly."
Pamela's expression stayed calm as she said simply, "Damn right."
Then she reached out and slapped Harley on her ass.
Harley spun around, her face flushing red. "What the hell are you doing?! You're embarrassing me in front of my ex—I mean, my boyfriend! Wait, no—"
Joker's painted smile faltered, and his eyes narrowed. "Did you just say ex? Did you just say ex-boyfriend?"
