'If the front view is as beautiful as this, how then is the interior' Elena couldn't help but wonder
A certain lady dressed in a uniform, black shirt and a short sleeved shirt approached her "This way ma'am" she gestured her hand
Elena followed her into the villa, on entering, she couldn't help but admire the villa, it sure was beautiful and breathtaking, she saw more ladies dressed in the same uniform as the first lady. They bowed respectfully to her when she entered.
The maid led her to the living room where a woman seated seemingly in her forties, she was reading a book. The maid left after they reached and the woman on chair looked up at Elena. Woo...no doubts, this was Adrian's mother, she sure was his mother. He took all his features from his mother except the jet black hair which was brown...
"Good evening mother" Elena greeted, in the story, Elena White calls her 'mother' although they weren't married yet. It was just her way of saying she sure was getting married to their son.
"Elena..." Evelyn smiled at her "Take a seat" And then a maid came in serving them tea.
Elena has always knew Evelyn's love for tea especially when she wants to have a long conversation...
"How have you been, mother" Like a good daughter-in-law she was
The woman nodded her head showing she had been doing great. She took her cup sipping on it "How has been work in your company?"
"Great mother"
"Caldwell enterprise still troubling you?"
"Yes, but I've made myself clear that I wasn't signing a contract with them" She too took a sip on her tea
Evelyn stared at her daughter-in-law. "You sure are getting brave nowadays, Elena"
Huh? "..."
"Well, it's nice" she smiled and then dropped her cup "Any idea as to why I called you today?"
"I wouldn't know if mother doesn't say" she replied
Evelyn chuckled going straight to the point "Why are you breaking off the engagement? I'm sure there is a reason"
Reason? Of course she did had a reason to break off the engagement between the white and black family and that was ending the known pathetic and clingy personality of Elena White in the novel. Although that wasn't why she was brought into this novel, she was here to stop Adrian's tragic end, to stop him from getting close to those who aren't pure with their intentions...betrayals...and to stop it, she has to get closer to him, so breaking off the engagement wasn't the best idea
"No reason, mother" She answered not knowing how to explain it to her without sounding crazy
Evelyn sighed "Elena...I know my son isn't good to you but don't worry I would try to talk to him, I don't want to lose such a good daughter-in-law like you. And I know I'm being a little selfish too but I can't help it"
This was surprising, Evelyn Black in that novel would never talk too much like this, mother and son changing? Did someone also come as them into this novel?
"M-mother, I am still your daughter-in-law"
"I know..that is what you would say but...huh?"
Elena smiled "I am getting married to Adrian, mother, forgive me for spitting out nonsense at that banquet" She bowed her head a little
Evelyn was shocked "..I.."
"It's fine mother, lets plan for the wedding, we have a short time to go"

"Yes mother, he does" Elena nodded smiling...why was she loving this???
