Damian: Fuckkk...what am I doing?! I shouldn't do something this stupid.
I started running towards the house, praying that nothing bad was happening. As I ran around the corner, I bumped into something.
Damian: what the- what did I hi- SHIT SHIT
As I looked up i saw a kaiju, it was smaller than the ones I have seen, but I didn't exactly have the "tools" to kill it, soooo
Damian: AHHHHHHHH
I thought that this is it, I am dead, so long beautiful unfinished world that I haven't seen at all, and thank you for the miserable life that you have given me.
It lowered its head, looked at my pitiful body, looked at me with curious eyes, and opened its jaw, as it was about to eat me. I curled up my body, scared for my life, but nothing happened. I heard a very deep bellow through the ground. I looked up and saw that the kaiju, was just leaving? It went in another direction.
Damian: Wh-what just happened?
I stood up and started walking again. That was very weird. I couldn't understand why that kaiju just left me alone, but at that moment, I couldn't distract myself. I was going to see this through.
It's a good thing that I knew a shortcut from Uncle Ben's house to mine, so it wouldn't take as much time, but still, no matter how fast I run, it will still take time.
Damian: ok just got to keep up the paaace * slips and falls backwards* SHIT
I see another kaiju, correction kaijus, but small ones, looked like big cats but with a mouth like a dog and teeth, sharp sharp teeth, looking straight at me, but this time they don't ignore me, in fact, it fucking full sends itself towards me!!
Damian: *gets myself up* SHIT SHIT SHIT *starts running*
I picked myself up and started running towards the nearest building entrance,
I am now just sprinting through the buildings, jumping over tables, rolling over counters, and kicking through the doors. I am just parkouring myself through the floors, jumping across the balconies, and through buildings. Any normal elemental would have lost me till now, kind of used to it.
Kaiju: *just destroying the walls behind me*
Damian: ... WHY DID I THINK IT'S AN ELEMENTAL??
I was just going and going, just trying to lose them, but that's kind of hard if it can just break the GODDAMN WALL. After jumping through a window of a building, I was now on the rooftop, still running.
Damian: *still running* ok think-think, you know this place like the back of your hand! You can figure something out. Okay, where can I go?! *looks at pipes* GOT IT! GOT IT!!
I started running towards the pipes. I hear the breaking of windows. I look behind me, and those guys are still behind me, and boy they are quick in open ground.
Damian: COME ON, DAMIAN! PUSH IT
Jumping from one rooftop to the other, dodging the fires, jumping through the fires, and parkouring through the rooftops, just trying not to DIE. The floors beneath me are crumbling, dodging air vents that tower over my small body, jumping through the holes created by all the destruction.
I wasn't paying attention for one second, and I realized I was running straight for a collapsed building.
Damian: *stops just at the edge* close one
I saw a power line connecting to the next building, and conveniently enough, there was a piece of rebar beside me.
Damian:*has an idea* this is a bad idea *looks behind him* but it seems like i dont have a choice
I take the rebar and use the power line as a zipline, going all the way to the end. Jumping off, I can finally see the vent duct for the pipes, but these mini kaijus are too close for comfort. The only reason I can avoid these guys is because of the uneven rooftop and my parkour skills. I just have to open the lid by hitting the button on top.
Damian: *dodges the head of the kaiju* SHIT, too close for comfort *sees a rock* nice *picks it up and starts running* ok I got one chance *aims for the button* please work *and throws*
During that throw, it felt like time slowed down. I saw it about to reach the button, but a kaiju blocked my view.
Damian: oh COME ON
I looked around me and realised I was surrounded, I was trapped, I couldn't see an opening, and I didn't know if the vent cover was open or not. I am frantically trying to find an opening, but these guys just keep closing in on me. I then hear air swishing at that moment through a small gap I could see it, the vent, it had opened, I just need to reach it.
Damian: Okay Damian, gonna have to juke them.
One of the kaiju went for the attack. I just barely dodged it, then I went for it, just running at them. I see one coming in, I feint left, it comes left, and then BAM I juke right.
Damian: ANKLES BROKEN BITCH
I see another, I feint right and then juke left, the last one in my path, i feint going for the low slide, it bends down i stop my slide then jump for its back i run across it and i make the final jump for the pipe all the rest of the kaiju come for me, jumping over each other, piling up behind me, I straighten my legs cross my arms and then enter the pipe legs first, i look down and, bam, entered the pipe, although that was wwaaayyy too close for comfort.
Once I reached the other side i looked back, the kaijus were still trying to get through the pipe, thankfully, they were too fat.
Damian: Okay, that was a big detour.....I need to get out of here and get to my house.
Where I came out is a waste management facility, people just throw their trash through the pipes/vent area that can also be on their roofs, a nd they come here. Those pipes were really helpful to escape from people. This place is not that far away from the house, so I can reach it.
As I exited the facility i started running towards my house. I crossed the alleys, seeing the alleys that I used to run through, just destroyed, the shops destroyed, the neon lights destroyed, just fire and destruction left. But i didnt have time to delve into sadness, I had to get to my house.
Damian: (I have to know if they are okay, I have to kn-) * gets knocked over* not another kaiju!
As I got up on back and raised, it wasnt a kaiju that I saw, it was a person, not just any person, though it was-
Damian: …..Lucas?
He was tattered, bruised up, and struggling to walk; it was like he had been beaten up pretty badly. Not that I cared.
Lucas: ….. Hey
Damian: Don't tell me, what's going on? *stands up* WHY DID YOU USE KNOCK ME OVER
Lucas: Damian, listen to me, okay, it's too dangerous, you can't go in that direction, it's swarmed by kaiju, too many, it's a fucking war.
Damian: Then you go, I can handle myself
Lucas: YOU CAN'T… its chaos there…just go back....
There was a moment of silence, but it felt more than a moment.
Damian: ….move
Lucas:.....I can't let you *fire appears from his hands* I am trying to protect you.
Damian:....pro-protect me? PROTECT ME?? Don't fucking joke with me, bastard! *charges at him*
At that moment Lucas fired 2 fireballs towards me, I dodged one of them the other one grazed my shoulder, ignoring it i went close to him, and swung my arm, punching him right in the nose. He fell on his back with blood running through his nose.
Damian: What do you mean protect me? HUH TELL ME??
I kicked him, a lot.
Damian: WHAT DO YOU MEAN?? YOU, THE PERSON WHO HAS HURT ME THE MOST, PROTECT ME?? HAHAHAHAA
I kept kicking him. I had so much anger at that moment towards him, from the past, from all the times he had beaten me up, for mocking me, and now, stopping me from getting to my parents.
Damian: DONT FUCKING JOKE WITH ME
The final kick was to the head, knocking him straight out. He just lay there, not moving an inch.
Damian:.... I know you were already bruised up, but to think you were this weak, I was an idiot letting myself be beaten up like this…. I have to keep moving.
I was near the house, just another block. As I was approaching, I realised there were a lot more kaiju here; thankfully, they don't seem to care about me.
Damian: almost there..
As I reached the final turn, I just hoped I would see my parents, my house fully intact with nothing wrong with it, jus-just.... I just hoped everything would be okay. But as I turned the corner, I was devastated at what I saw; the whole house was now just rubble, and nothing was left.
Damian: No, no, no, NOO NOOO
With pure panic and fear, I ran towards the rubble. I looked through it, fearing the worst. My hands were slippery because of all the running, or maybe I was panicking like crazy. I couldn't even pick the rocks up; they kept slipping from my hands.
Damian: *frantically searching through the rubble* MOM *lifts rock and throws it* DAD
I couldn't see them. At that time, I thought that was a good thing; maybe they didn't get crushed in the rubble, suddenly I heard a roar. I felt it too; it was so loud I had to cover my ears. I felt the vibration all the way through my body. Then it felt like there was an earthquake, and all the rubble around me just started jumping each time there was shaking. When I finally looked up, I saw it, a shadow, a very, very big shadow, through the smoke. I followed the shadow down from its head to the big bony back to the tail. I saw it coming towards me, I realised what was gonna happen, and I ducked quickly, barely dodging the massive tail, which, by the way, destroyed buildings.
As I looked up i saw it, it was a kaiju, too big to even exist. It made no sense, its not possible but there it was destroying the southern side of luxtermina, suddenly it looked towards me, i fell back trying to get up but my feet had started to cramp up because of all the running, before i knew it when i looked up all i saw was its face, but something else devastated me more when i looked at its teeth saw people on its jaw dead just hanging on because the teeth punctured them, but, one of the bodies made my heart sank.
Damian: MOM!
