Rudra's words hung in the air like an invisible weight.
The battlefield, once filled with roaring Ki and clashing power, had fallen into an eerie silence. Even Cell's finger beam trembled slightly, its destructive hum wavering as his attention shifted.
Rudra slowly turned his head, making sure everyone was listening.
"Angels exist," he said calmly. "But they cannot interfere."
Vegito frowned. "What do you mean, cannot?"
Rudra explained, "Angels are bound by absolute laws. They observe. They guide. They maintain balance. But they are forbidden from directly fighting for or against mortals. Even if the universe burns, they will not act."
Shock rippled through the Z Fighters.
"So they just watch?" Krillin muttered bitterly.
"Yes," Rudra replied. "Because if Angels acted freely, existence itself would collapse."
Cell listened carefully, his smirk slowly fading.
Rudra continued, "But Angels are not the rulers of destruction."
He paused.
"There is another being."
The air grew heavy.
"A being who stands at a level that even rivals Angels."
Vegito's eyes widened. "You are saying there is someone stronger than us. Stronger than Cell. Someone who can fight without restriction?"
"Yes," Rudra answered. "The God of Destruction."
The name alone sent a chill through everyone.
"A God of Destruction exists in every universe," Rudra said. "Their role is simple. To destroy."
Piccolo clenched his fists. "Destroy what?"
"Anything that threatens the balance," Rudra replied. "Civilizations. Worlds. Even gods."
Gohan swallowed hard. "And this God can fight freely?"
"Yes," Rudra said. "Unlike Angels, Gods of Destruction are not restricted from battle. They act on instinct, emotion, and judgment."
He looked straight at Cell.
"In this universe, that being is the strongest."
Cell's eyes narrowed.
"And where is this so called god?" Cell asked, his voice low. "If he is real, why has he not stopped me?"
Rudra answered without hesitation. "Because he is sleeping."
The words stunned everyone.
Sleeping.
"For thousands of years," Rudra continued. "On a distant planet. A place untouched by mortal wars."
Vegito stared. "A being like that sleeps?"
"Yes," Rudra replied. "Because nothing until now has been worthy of waking him."
Then Rudra spoke the name.
"Beerus."
The moment the name left his mouth, something shifted.
Cell's body froze.
Fragments of memory surfaced from deep within his genetic core. Images stolen from Frieza's cells. A terrified Frieza kneeling. A name spoken with fear.
Beerus.
Cell's eyes widened.
"That name…" Cell muttered. "I remember."
Everyone turned toward him.
"From Frieza," Cell said slowly. "Even he feared that being."
Cell laughed quietly, but this time there was tension in it.
"So the God of Destruction is real."
Rudra nodded. "Very real."
Vegito crossed his arms, still staring at Rudra. "If he exists, then why tell us now?"
Rudra met Vegito's gaze. "Because Cell is no longer just a threat to Earth."
He looked around at the planet below them.
"He is a threat to the universe."
Cell raised his finger slightly, the beam still glowing. "Interesting. Very interesting. Are you saying I should fight this Beerus instead of you?"
"Yes," Rudra said plainly.
Everyone gasped.
"You want to take him to the God of Destruction?" Trunks shouted. "That is insane!"
Rudra remained calm. "Cell wants challenge. Destruction. Proof of superiority."
He turned fully toward Cell.
"I can take you to Beerus."
Cell stared at him, studying every word.
"There, you can fight someone who truly stands above mortals."
Rudra's eyes hardened.
"And my negotiation is simple."
Cell tilted his head. "Go on."
"You will not harm Earth," Rudra said. "Not now. Not until that battle happens."
Vegito stepped forward. "Rudra, are you sure about this?"
Rudra did not look back. "If Cell fights here, the universe will break."
Cell smiled slowly.
"A God of Destruction," he mused. "A being even Frieza feared."
His smile widened.
"That does sound fun."
The beam at his fingertip faded away.
For the first time since his return, the battlefield felt quiet.
Cell looked at Rudra. "Very well. Take me to this Beerus."
Vegito's fists clenched. "You cannot be serious."
Cell's eyes gleamed. "But understand this."
His smile sharpened.
"If this God fails to entertain me, I will return."
Rudra nodded. "That is a risk I am willing to take."
Far away, on a silent planet wrapped in eternal calm, a sleeping god stirred slightly in his dreams.
Something had finally caught his attention.
