Chapter 2349 - Ch: 201-207

Chapter 201: The Hostage Taken

Sep 8, 2025

The low hum of the elevator was the only sound in the bar's tense silence. Then came a soft 'ding'. The doors slid open.

Every member of the Chaos Pride turned as one—only to see Scott step out. In his hand, held casually by the hair, was the lifeless, blood-streaked head of Declan, the Púca.

Scott's eyes scanned the room before landing on Darius, who sat on a chair with a glass of wine in his hand, grinning as if amused.

Before anyone could speak, a guttural, enraged roar shattered the silence. George, the alpha Loup Garou, shifted to his partial werewolf form and in a blur of motion launched himself across the bar, claws extended to rip Scott apart.

The attack was fast—blindingly so for most eyes to follow. But to Scott, it was slow. Predictable.

He didn't even flinch. His free hand shot up with impossible speed, catching George by the throat mid-charge, choking him effortlessly. The Loup Garou's eyes widened in panic. He clawed, kicked, and struggled to free himself from Scott's iron grip, but no matter how he tried, Scott's grip didn't budge.

"I don't mind killing another one of you." Scott said coldly. "But my pack wants to fight too. So consider yourself lucky. Just lay over there obediently."

Blue-white electricity crackled to life around Scott's hand, searing into George's neck. The Loup Garou's body convulsed violently, a strangled scream caught in his throat. The smell of burning flesh filled the air, smoke coming out from his mouth and the blackened wound on his neck. With a dismissive flick of his wrist, Scott tossed George's twitching body aside like garbage. George crashed into the wall and was embedded into it for a few seconds before he slid down to the floor unconscious.

Scott didn't spare him another glance. His glowing red eyes locked on Darius. A slow, dark laugh escaped his lips.

"I was hoping to make you angry by bringing this..." Scott said, holding Declan's head up higher, lifting it for all to see. "...but you don't seem to care about his death."

Darius slowly placed his glass down on the table and leaned back in his chair. A slow, dangerous smile spread across his face, devoid of any warmth or concern for his fallen pride member.

"I don't care about that loser." Darius said. "I'm more interested in you, kid. I have never met someone who can make me feel danger and excitement at the same time."

Scott's grin widened. "Funny. I was thinking the same thing. I kind of want to fight you right here, right now."

Then Scott released his full aura. It was a physical, crushing wave of power. The air around him distorted under the pressure. Glass bottles behind the counter shattered in unison. The concrete floor beneath his feet cracked like a spiderweb, the fractures racing out towards the walls. A collective, involuntary shudder ran through the Chaos Pride, each member taking an instinctive step back under the immense pressure.

Only Darius laughed. His own aura roared to life, nearly as overwhelming as Scott's.

Scott tossed Declan's head aside. It landed with a wet thud and rolled under a table. In the same motion, he moved. Darius did the same, meeting him in the center of the bar.

Their fists collided.

The impact shook the entire bar with a shockwave that blasted tables and chairs across the room. The mirrors behind the bar shattered into a thousand pieces.

Scott and Darius pushed against each other, then disengaged, putting distance between them. Both were laughing like maniacs, the thrill of the clash singing in their blood.

Scott's hand crackled with arcs of raw, blue lightning. "Let's try that again."

Darius's own fist shimmered, the skin transforming into a polished, impenetrable bronze. "With pleasure."

They clashed again.

This impact was even more devastating. A visible ring of force exploded outward, scattering Pride members like leaves in a storm. The walls cracked deeply. The tempered glass of the windows and front door didn't just break—it vaporized into a fine, glittering dust. The very structure of the building groaned in protest.

The shockwave traveled outside, flipping some cars passing on the street onto their sides with a screech of twisting metal.

Scott's eyes flickered to the destruction outside, to the screams of panicked civilians. He broke the clash and stepped back, thinking. 'Normal people are going to get dragged into this. I don't want that.'

Then he looked at Darius's metallic arm. "So you can control an element too!" Scott noted, his excitement tinged with tactical analysis. "And it's metal. Which means me using electricity will only make you stronger."

Darius laughed, the bronze receding from his skin. "Smart kid." He stepped forward again, eager to continue.

"Let's stop here," Scott said, his tone shifting from excitement to command.

Darius's grin turned feral. "But I don't feel like stopping."

"We'll continue our fight tonight. At my ranch. I assume you know where it is."

"I know, but like I said, kid, I don't want to go to your ranch." Darius said, gesturing to the chaos around them. "I want to fight here and create chaos in this town."

With a wicked smile, Scott said. "Believe me. You will want to come there."

His glowing red eyes swept over the women of the Chaos Pride—Selene, Valeria, Astrid—before locking on Meilin.

Darius got a very bad feeling. "What are you planning to do, kid?"

Scott didn't answer. He simply vanished.

He reappeared instantly behind Meilin, his hand clamping down on the back of her neck. "Don't do anything stupid, woman." He warned, his voice cold. "If I feel you trying to absorb my energy, I will snap your neck like a twig."

Meilin didn't listen. She smirked faintly—and began draining him anyway. Scott immediately felt the draining sensation where his skin touched hers.

He sighed, as if dealing with a disobedient child. "I told you not to do it. I can't kill you now, so take a nap." A powerful surge of electricity shot into her body from his hand.

Meilin screamed, convulsing violently before her eyes rolled back. She went limp, unconscious in his grasp.

Darius growled, a deep, rumbling sound from his chest. His beard began to grow, his features beginning to shift and distort into something leonine and monstrous.

"Don't worry." Scott said, hoisting her over his shoulder. "I won't kill her. I'll release her when you bring your Pride to my ranch tonight. You have my word."

Darius forced himself to calm, the shift receding. "And what happens when I come?"

"Then we fight." Scott said simply. "Your Pride against my Pack."

"And when I leave..." He added, gesturing to the destroyed front of the bar and the chaos outside. "...don't cause trouble for the police and firefighters who will come to see the cause of all this, or your wife will die."

His eyes then fixed on Valeria, the ancient vampire. "Hey, you. Do you know an ancient vampire named Victor?"

Valeria moved closer to Darius and stood beside him, her expression unreadable. "No. I don't."

Scott smirked. "You just lied. Doesn't matter. He's dead anyway. I was just asking."

He waved a hand, and a swirling portal of darkness opened beside him.

Seeing the portal, Selene's eyes glowed red and she was about to attack Scott to stop him from leaving. But Darius barked.

"Selene—don't. You can't stop him. You'll only put Meilin in danger."

Selene froze, fists trembling.

Scott's voice was mocking, almost amused. "Well, I guess you still have some humanity left in you, huh? Even a dark heart like yours can still love."

Darius's tone was deadly serious. "If anything happens to Meilin, I swear you'll regret it. I'll slaughter this entire town and everyone you love."

Scott didn't flinch. "Relax. I'll keep my word. I won't harm her. But I can't promise you about the other one I caught—the Lamia, I mean. She's going to die when I get back."

He stepped into the portal, then looked at Darius one last time. "I'll be waiting for you tonight. Don't be late."

And with that, Scott disappeared from the bar.

The bar was silent for a beat, until Selene spoke quietly. "He's dangerous, Darius. We shouldn't go."

Darius glared at her. "And let him kill Meilin?"

Selene said. "Then we use people from town as hostages. Force him to release her."

Darius shook his head. "I can't take that risk. What if he doesn't care about the townspeople that much? Or what if he kills Meilin and kidnaps you and Valeria? In case you haven't noticed, he can teleport, and other than me, none of you can stop him."

Then, slowly, Darius smiled. "Besides, I really want to fight him. So you guys get ready. We will fight him and his pack tonight."

He turned to Valeria by his side. "Get your vampires ready, and wake that idiot George and tell him to get his betas ready too."

Valeria arched a brow. "Alright. By the way… he never said what happened to Cara and Ciara."

Darius's lip curled. "They probably betrayed us, but it doesn't matter. They were never one of us. And love—don't forget to deal with the cops and firefighters. Just compel them and convince them to leave. Don't hurt them."

Chapter 202: The Death of the Lamia

Sep 12, 2025

Scott appeared in the Pack House living room with Meilin slung over his shoulder.

Allison let out a long breath. "You okay? Any trouble?"

Scott laid Meilin on the ground. "Not really. Killed the Puka, tested Darius's strength at the bar, then grabbed her."

Melissa frowned. "What did you think of his strength?"

"Very strong." Scott said. "And he can control the metal element. I'm looking forward to fighting him."

Chris turned to Cara and Ciara. "You two didn't tell us he could control metal."

Ciara looked genuinely surprised. "We didn't know."

Cara added. "We've been with him for ten years, but we've never seen him use any element."

Chris narrowed his eyes. "Is that so?"

Cara shrugged. "We're telling the truth. We have no reason to hide information from you. We want Darius dead more than you do."

Lydia's voice cut through the tension. "She's telling the truth. I already read her memories."

Melissa turned her attention back to Scott. "So, is Darius coming for his wife tonight?"

Scott nodded. "Yes. They'll come tonight." He then looked at Deaton. "Doc, put a mountain ash barrier around Meilin."

Deaton nodded silently and moved to retrieve the mountain ash.

Noah entered the room. "Scott, I just got a call about an explosion at a bar right before you arrived. I'm guessing that was you?"

"Yeah, it was me." Scott confirmed. "But it wasn't an explosion, just the shockwave from my clash with Darius. Send some deputies to check it out. Don't worry about them; I warned Darius that if he harms any of them, I'll kill his wife."

Noah nodded and began speaking into his radio, relaying the orders.

Scott's gaze finally fell on the Lamia, Amara, who was still paralyzed on the floor by Lydia's venom. Her spine—broken earlier by Victoria—had already healed, and she was glaring at him with venomous, red, slitted eyes.

Scott said, addressing the room. "So, who wants to deal with her?"

"Me." Lydia said, her voice cold and sharp. "She went after my mom. I'll be the one dealing with her."

"Do you want to kill her now, while she's paralyzed, or do you want a fight?" Scott asked.

Lydia's grin was feral. "I want to fight her. That will be more... satisfying."

"Then let's take her to the woods." Scott opened a portal to the woods, and Lydia dragged Amara through it. Scott, Melissa, Victoria, Malia, Allison, Aiden, Braeden, Derek, Peter, Kira, and her parents followed her through the portal, while Chris, Noah, and Parrish went to get the guns ready, and Deaton was keeping an eye on their prisoner, Meilin.

Once they arrived, Lydia unceremoniously dropped the Lamia onto the damp earth, and turned to Scott.

She said, her voice firm. "Scott, I want you to bring my mom here."

Scott looked at her, his brow furrowed with concern. "Are you sure she's ready for this, Lydia? You're going to kill the Lamia, after all."

"I told her everything. I even shifted in front of her. She needs to see this." Lydia said.

Scott nodded. "Alright." Then five minutes later, he opened another portal to the lake house, and brought Natalie. Lydia explained the situation quickly; Natalie swallowed hard but stood with grim determination.

Lydia then walked over to Amara, who lay motionless. "Stop playing dead." Lydia commanded. "Your body has already gotten rid of the paralyzing venom. You're a snake, after all. My venom is strong, but your body deals with it quickly."

Amara didn't move a muscle.

Lydia's voice turned to ice. "If you don't get up, I'll kill you where you lie without giving you the chance to fight."

The pretense ended. She pushed herself to her feet in one fluid motion, her gaze darting warily between Scott and the assembled pack.

Scott said. "Don't worry. We will not interfere. If you win against Lydia, you can leave. You have my word."

Natalie gasped. "What? You're not going to help Lydia?"

Melissa placed a reassuring hand on Natalie's arm. "Don't worry. Lydia doesn't need our help."

Lydia's eyes glowed red. Black, razor-sharp talons erupted from her fingertips. She took a step forward, her voice low and sharp. "Let's start."

Amara's serpent-like eyes flared crimson as she studied Lydia. "What are you? No Banshee has claws, or paralyzing venom… or glowing eyes."

Lydia didn't answer. She blurred forward, her fist slamming into Amara's face with bone-cracking force. The Lamia flew backward, smashing into a tree hard enough to splinter bark before sliding to the ground.

Amara hissed and rose again. Her features twisted, becoming more monstrous. Her mouth split back to her ears, revealing rows of needle fangs. Her ears sharpened into points, black scales spread across her skin, and a long, forked tongue slithered between her fangs.

"You'll pay for that!" Amara screeched, rushing at Lydia. But as she closed in, her mouth opened wide, not to bite, but to expel a thick, purple mist of potent venom directly into Lydia's face, laughing wickedly. "Now, you are dead, you little bi..."

But her gloating was cut short. Lydia didn't cough, didn't stumble. The mist parted harmlessly around her glowing eyes. "Poison?" She smirked. "I'm immune."

In a flash, her foot connected with Amara's chest, sending her crashing backward through another tree. "If this is all you've got, there's no point in dragging this out. I'll end you now."

Enraged and desperate, Amara shed the last of her human disguise. Her body warped and stretched, turning into a monstrous serpent with black scales, fangs the size of daggers. Fifteen meters of coiled muscle towered over the clearing, her head wide enough to swallow a human whole.

The ground trembled as she lunged.

Lydia's wings burst from her back, midnight-black feathers spread wide, and her legs twisted into crow's talons. With impossible agility, she slashed across the snake's body mid-flight, ripping deep, bloody gashes into its hide. Amara struck back, her massive jaws snapping through the air, but Lydia was always one step ahead, darting and weaving, never letting herself be caught.

Seeing an opening, Lydia swooped down, grabbed the very tip of the massive tail, and with a mighty beat of her wings, hauled the entire gigantic serpent into the air. She flew fifty meters up, the snake writhing helplessly in her grasp, and then dove. She slammed the Lamia into the forest floor with earth-shattering force, creating a massive crater from which a cloud of dust and debris erupted.

Before Amara could even process the impact, Lydia was above her again. She took a deep, shuddering breath and unleashed her Banshee scream. The concentrated sonic wave hit the snake's head like a physical bomb. The sound was not just deafening; it was destructive. With two wet, popping sounds, the giant serpent's eyes burst in their sockets.

The Lamia writhed blindly, thrashing in agony.

Lydia didn't hesitate. She climbed high into the air, then folded her wings and dove at impossible speed. Her taloned foot connected with the serpent's skull in a devastating impact, driving Amara's head into the ground.

The earth split with the force. The Lamia went limp, her massive form collapsing in on itself as she shifted into her human shape and lay in the crater, naked and unconscious.

Lydia hovered above for a moment, before lowering herself back to the ground. She landed softly beside the Lamia, wings retracted, legs shifting back to normal. She turned to face her mother and the rest of the pack, crimson eyes gleaming with victory.

"See?" Melissa murmured to Natalie, who stared wide-eyed. "I told you. Lydia doesn't need help."

Lydia knelt and plunged her talons into Amara's chest, not to kill her, but to absorb her powers. After a moment, when she had taken what she needed, Lydia took a deep breath, drove her talons deeper, and pierced Amara's heart—killing her.

She walked to her mother and said. "So… what do you think? Was that too much for you to take?"

Natalie let out a shaky breath. "Well, it was already too much for me when Scott showed up in my house this morning out of nowhere." Then she looked at Scott and added. "Naked."

Scott scratched the back of his head, a sheepish grin on his face. "Sorry about that. I was in a hurry."

Natalie shook her head, then turned her full attention back to her daughter. "This is not the first time you killed someone, is it?"

"No, it is not." Lydia admitted, her gaze steady and honest. "I've killed before. But like I said, we only kill bad people, Mom."

Natalie stepped forward and pulled her daughter into a tight hug. "I will need a little time to get used to what you are and everything you told me today." She whispered. "But I am proud of you, sweetheart. You looked... cool while you were beating that bitch."

A smile appeared on Lydia's lips as she hugged her mom back.

Scott walked to the edge of the crater. With a casual wave of his hand, he summoned a burst of crimson fire, engulfing Amara's body until nothing but ash remained. "Alright, guys." He said, clapping his hands together. "Let's go back home and have something to eat. I'm starving."

He opened a shadow portal back to the pack house, and they all went through.

After they had eaten, the pack gathered in the living room, the air thick with anticipation as they waited for night to fall. The quiet was broken by a low groan. Meilin, lying within a circle of mountain ash, was waking up.

Her eyes fluttered open, immediately focusing on the twins. She glared at Ciara and Cara with pure hatred. "I told Darius not to trust you two." She spat, her voice weak but venomous. "I warned him, but he wouldn't listen. But don't worry. When he gets here, he will kill you himself."

Then she glared at Scott. "I will not let you use me against my husband."

Before anyone could react, her claws grew and she was about to kill herself by piercing her heart. But Scott was faster. In a blink, he teleported next to her, caught her arm, and shocked her with a powerful electric jolt from his hand. Her body convulsed once before she slumped back into unconsciousness.

"Peter, paralyze her and keep an eye on her, will you? I don't want her killing herself and making Darius go crazy and kill people in town."

Peter—who had absorbed the powers of a kanima before—gave a dark smile. "With pleasure." He walked to her, scratched her with his claws, brought a chair, and sat beside her.

---

After a few hours the night fell. Scott called Stiles and the others who were protecting their parents and opened a portal for them. When they arrived, Scott and the pack took Meilin—awake but paralyzed by Peter—and walked toward the edge of the ranch near the woods. There, in the tree line, stood Darius and his pride. Behind them an army waited: forty vampires and thirty beta loup-garous.

Scott smirked. He took Meilin from Peter, teleported, and appeared right beside Darius. He handed her over and said. "Here. I kept my word."

Darius took Meilin and frowned. "What's wrong with her?"

"Kanima venom." Scott answered. "She was trying to kill herself."

Darius handed Meilin to Valeria, who made a small cut on Meilin's arm and used her blood-control ability to detoxify her.

Scott looked at Darius. "Alright—send your weaklings first so my pack and I can have some fun before our fight."

Darius smirked. "Are you going back to your pack? What's to stop me from sending the weaklings to keep you distracted while I and my Pride leave to create a little chaos in town?"

Scott's grin was sharp and dangerous. "Since I gave you your wife back, I'm sure I can keep you and your pride here. I can teleport, remember? If I feel you and your pride are leaving…" His eyes glowed red. "I will go after your wives, and this time I will not kidnap any of them. I will go for the kill." He paused, his grin turning into a wry smile. "Oh, man. I sound like a villain, don't I?"

Darius let out a short, appreciative laugh. "You do, kid. Now how about we fight? I've been looking forward to this since you left the bar."

Scott said. "Let me have some fun first with your weaklings. I'm sure you want to see the strength of my pack too, so it's a win-win." Then he teleported back to his pack.

Chapter 203: Fun Before the Fight

Sep 19, 2025

Scott appeared back beside his pack. He walked over to a large wooden crate, flipped it open, and grinned at what was inside—an arsenal of rifles, shotguns, and handguns. He pulled out an assault rifle, testing the weight.

He glanced at his pack with a smirk. "Are you ready, guys?"

Stiles slung a rifle across his shoulder, matching his grin. "Yes, we are. Let's see who kills more enemies tonight."

Chris raised a hand. "We said not to kill, Stiles. We need them alive to absorb their powers. They may be weak, but we shouldn't waste them."

Melissa grabbed a shotgun and pumped it with a click. "By the way, who's fighting who after we deal with the weaklings?"

Scott answered. "I'm fighting Darius. Allison will handle the ancient vampire. Stiles is taking the Huldra. Parrish gets the fire guy. The rest of you can choose your matchups."

Chris nodded. "The loup-garou is mine."

Melissa smirked. "Then leave the Tarasque to me. I'll fight her."

Boyd cracked his knuckles. "I'll take the crocodile guy. Liam said he's strong—I'm looking forward to it."

Derek spoke up. "I'll take the ogre."

Noah stepped forward. "I want to fight too."

Scott gave him a nod. "Then, Uncle Noah, you can handle the Yali—the shapeshifter with the elephant head."

Erica grinned. "I'll fight the fox woman."

Scott started counting on his fingers. "Alright. Is that all of them?"

Stiles shook his head. "Nope. There's still the Nue guy."

Malia slammed a magazine into her rifle. "I'll fight him."

Scott grinned. "Perfect. But first, let's have a little fun with the weaklings—they're coming."

The pack grabbed their weapons and spread into formation as the enemy army—forty vampires and thirty mindless, skin-and-bone beta loup-garous—charged from the tree line. They leapt the ranch fence in a frenzy, howling and screeching, rushing straight for the pack.

Scott lifted his rifle. "Light 'em up."

The night exploded into chaos.

The sharp crack of rifles. The heavy boom of shotguns. Bullets whizzed through the dark—wooden rounds tearing into vampires, making them shriek in pain. Yellow wolfsbane rounds ripped into the feral loup-garous, who clawed at their chests and throats as they collapsed, choking and howling in agony.

Stiles cackled, dual-wielding pistols like he was in an action movie. "This is way too much fun!"

Melissa blasted another loup-garou, then another, grinning. "This is fun indeed."

Peter, standing beside Derek, shot down a loup-garou and asked. "How many have you taken down?"

Derek gunned down three vampires in midair, then smashed another with his rifle stock. "I'm not counting." He growled.

Peter smirked, firing two pistols at once as he spun, dropping a wave of loup-garous. "But I am. And I'm winning."

Meanwhile, Malia grew bored. Tossing her rifle aside, she drew Gerard's old sword. She charged into the crowd, hacking through vampires and cleaving one in half with a single swing. It screamed in pain, dragging its insides behind it. Blood splattered across her face, but she just grinned and cut down another. "This is way more fun! Guns are boring."

Boyd smirked and placed his palm against the ground. The earth trembled. Six golems of mud, each seven feet tall, rose from the soil. Boyd commanded. "Crush them!"

One golem fought against five loup-garous at once. They slashed chunks from its muddy body, but it fought back—its massive fists crushing two into the dirt. Another leapt onto its back, but the golem melted its shoulder into sludge, swallowing the beast's head until it suffocated. The last two slashed wildly, only to be grabbed, slammed together, and tossed aside like broken dolls.

Not to be outdone, Lydia stomped her heel into the ground. Shadows split the earth, and ten snarling, rotting ghouls crawled up from below. They charged into the fray. One ripped a vampire's throat out, while another two pinned two loup-garous and began gnawing on their limbs.

Stiles gagged, covering his nose. "Damn it, Lydia! Why did you summon your disgusting ghouls?"

"Shut up, or I'll send them after you." Lydia snapped.

"Please don't, they stink!" Stiles yelled, bolting away from her ghouls while still firing at the vampires.

Meanwhile, Erica and Deaton stood together, hands raised. Vines, roots, and thorned tendrils burst from the earth, slithering across the battlefield. They wrapped around vampires and loup-garous alike, piercing flesh, paralyzing without killing. Vampires hissed and screamed as thorned vines skewered their limbs and pinned them to the dirt. The loup-garous thrashed helplessly as thick roots coiled around their legs and necks.

---

From the tree line, Darius and his pride watched. At first, they weren't surprised that Scott's pack tore through the lesser vampires and beta loup-garous with ease. But when they saw Boyd summon golems, Lydia summon ghouls, and Erica and Deaton command nature, their expressions hardened. They began to take the McCall Pack seriously.

Selene folded her arms. "This is going to be a tough fight, Darius."

"Just stall them until I deal with their Alpha." Darius replied calmly. "Then I'll help."

Selene nodded. She never doubted Darius—or considered that he might lose. "If I finish my fight early, I'll help the pride."

Darius turned his head slightly. "Meilin, be careful."

Meilin gave a firm nod.

"And Valeria, be careful, too." Darius added. "And please keep an eye on Meilin. Help her if she needs it."

Valeria affirmed. "I will."

Darius smirked at the rest of his pride. "The same goes for all of you. Don't take the McCall Pack lightly. If you do… you'll die."

---

Back on the battlefield, chaos still reigned. Gunfire roared. Ghouls snarled. Golems pounded the earth with heavy fists. Vines cracked and lashed like whips. Vampires unlucky enough to be hit with wooden rounds in the heart crumbled into dust midair. Loup-garous collapsed foaming, yellow wolfsbane searing their veins.

Finally, after what felt like hours but was only minutes, the frenzy slowed. Only about eight vampires and seven loup-garous remained standing.

Scott lowered his rifle, smirking. "Alright. That was fun. Those of you who aren't fighting the Chaos Pride, clean up the rest of these idiots and absorb their powers."

Then his glowing red eyes locked on Darius in the distance. "Now let's get to the real fight."

He opened a shadow portal. "Follow me."

Scott stepped through, followed by Allison, Stiles, Malia, Erica, Noah, Derek, Boyd, Chris, Parrish, and Melissa. In the blink of an eye, they emerged directly in front of Darius and his pride.

Scott tilted his head. "I'm surprised you didn't run."

Darius smirked. "I never run from a fight, kid. But I'm surprised you didn't bring your entire pack to face us."

Scott shrugged. "The eleven of us are more than enough to take care of the eleven of you. If not for the fact my pack wanted a fight, I would've handled you all on my own."

Darius chuckled. "Very confident in your strength, huh?"

Scott's eyes gleamed. "I am."

A beautiful blonde woman in the Chaos Pride arched a brow, glaring at Stiles. "I don't like the way you're looking at me, creepy kid. Never seen a beautiful woman before?"

Stiles smirked, flashing one of his signature unsettling smiles. "Believe me, I don't care about your looks. I'm only interested in your abilities."

Scott stepped forward, his voice echoing telepathically to Allison, Melissa, and the others at his side: [Alright, guys. Be careful. Don't get overconfident, and don't let your guard down.]

Allison and Melissa replied in unison: [You too. Be careful.]

Without warning, Scott vanished—reappearing right beside Darius. He clamped a hand on his shoulder before the man could react. In an instant, both disappeared, teleported deep into the woods.

Chapter 204: The Start of the Real Fight

Sep 23, 2025

Scott and Darius fought deep in the forest, their auras colliding like thunder. Claws met claws, and fist met fist. The impact sent a shockwave ripping through the forest, bending trees and tearing leaves from their branches. Both of them were reveling in the fight.

Scott laughed, blocking a powerful blow. "This is it! This is the fight I was looking for. I haven't had this much fun since I fought Cassandra!"

He lunged, ducked under a punch from Darius, and landed a crushing blow to the his jaw. Darius spat blood, only to retaliate with a swift claw-slash that tore a deep wound across Scott's chest—a wound that healed almost instantly.

They stepped back, both grinning. Darius wiped the blood dripping from his mouth. "This is the fight I was looking for too, kid. I can't even remember the last time I felt this excited in a fight."

---

Back where Scott had left his pack facing Darius's pride, everyone had chosen their opponent.

Allison faced Valeria, the ancient vampire.

Valeria's eyes glowed crimson, shadows rippling around her body like living tendrils. She smirked, revealing her long and sharp fangs. "So, little girl. You are the unlucky one I'm feeding on tonight. But you look pale already; I hope you have enough wolf blood in you to satisfy me. I haven't tasted it for a few years now."

Allison's own eyes glowed red, her claws extending. She said with a smile. "You talk too much, old bitch."

"It's not nice to talk about a lady's age, little one." Valeria smiled back.

Then, she vanished.

Allison spun, but Valeria's teleportation made her attacks unpredictable. A strike came from the left—claws raked across Allison's shoulder. Shadows swirled again—this time Valeria appeared behind her, slamming her into a tree so hard it cracked, before vanishing again. Allison growled, blood dripping down her side, but her wounds healed in an instant.

She stood up, focusing all her senses. She felt a spike of danger from her right and slashed out, her claws carving through the air—and connected. Valeria, who had just materialized, hissed in pain as Allison's Manticore venom surged into her body.

But the vampire only grinned. Raising her palm, she sliced her own arm with a claw. Her blood flowed unnaturally, glowing dark red as she manipulated it, expelling the poison from her veins.

"You are not a normal werewolf, are you? But venom can't kill me. You'll have to do better than that, little wolf."

The battle raged on. Allison was physically stronger, and her enhanced senses allowed her to predict Valeria's attacks with increasing accuracy, though not perfectly, and she was hit a few more times. Valeria's shadow teleportation always gave her the edge. Still, when Allison's predictions were correct, she landed devastating slashes across Valeria's body.

After a powerful punch broke her nose, Valeria hissed in pain. "You are going to pay for that, you little bitch!"

She shifted into her monstrous bat form, wings tearing from her back, her scream shaking the trees. She attacked head-on this time, not even bothering to teleport. She flew with blinding speed and kicked Allison in the chest, sending her crashing through a tree.

Allison quickly stood up and was about to shift, but the vampire attacked again. Allison met her kick with a kick of her own; the clash created a powerful shockwave that pushed Allison backward several meters, but she kept her footing.

Allison smirked. "You are strong. It seems I should take you seriously."

Then she shifted. White fur sprouted across her entire body as she grew taller. Her head shifted into a wolf's, her clothes stretched but held, and a fluffy white tail emerged from behind her, swaying slightly. She released her aura, and while far weaker than Scott's, it was strong enough to make Valeria take an involuntary step back.

Allison attacked. Valeria, still shocked by the aura, was caught off guard by Allison's new speed in her werewolf form. Before she could teleport, Allison drove a clawed hand through her stomach. Just as Allison was about to deliver another blow, Valeria turned into shadow and disappeared.

She reappeared a few meters away, clutching her stomach as the wound healed. She looked at Allison with newfound seriousness, and for the first time in the fight, she felt a flicker of fear—and briefly thought of escaping. She shook the thought away.

Deciding to end the fight, she lifted her hands. Her blood streamed into the air, vaporizing into a thick crimson mist that wrapped around Allison like a living fog, trying to invade her lungs and kill her from the inside.

Allison stopped holding back and unleashed her ice powers.

Frost crawled down her arms. With a roar, she released a freezing wave that turned the blood mist into glittering shards of crimson ice.

Valeria faltered, stunned. Allison didn't waste the chance. She lunged, tearing through the vampire's body, her claws ripping one of Valeria's legs clean off. Valeria shrieked and tried to shadow-teleport away.

But Allison was faster. She placed a hand on Valeria's bat-like head mid-teleport and, in an instant, encased the vampire's entire body in unbreakable ice, freezing her into a grotesque statue with a missing leg.

The fight was over.

---

Nearby, another battle raged.

Chris clashed with George, the Alpha loup-garou. George was already in his monstrous form: a hairless, scrawny, and tall creature with a hunched back, claws curved like scythes, and fangs dripping with saliva. A mindless savage, he didn't care about his own wounds; his only goal was to tear Chris to shreds.

Chris was also in his full werewolf form—a 2.6-meter-tall beast with silver fur and glowing red eyes, his body radiating pure power. When George lunged, Chris didn't dodge. He met him head-on.

The fight was savage. Claw met claw, punch met punch. George slammed Chris into the dirt, jaws snapping for his throat, but Chris caught him by the jaw and hurled him into a boulder, shattering it.

George howled and leaped again, but Chris's claws slashed down, tearing deep into his chest. The loup-garou only grew angrier, raking his own claws across Chris's ribs. Chris roared back and delivered a crushing blow, ripping one of George's arms clean off in a spray of blood.

The Alpha loup-garou stumbled, but Chris wasn't finished. He pounded his fists into George's skull, each blow crunching bone until George collapsed, unconscious.

Chris stood over him, his claws dripping crimson.

---

The battlefield shook again as another monstrous roar tore through the woods.

Boyd was also in his full werewolf form, the earth beneath his feet cracking and shifting at his command. "Come on, use your full strength." He growled. "Shift to your crocodile form and use your water element powers."

Across from him, Mateo snarled, wiping blood from his broken nose after Boyd's punch. "As you wish, kid. But don't die too soon after I do." He hissed.

His body began to transform. Muscles bulged, bones stretched, and skin hardened into glistening, dark green scales. His jaw elongated into the crushing maw of a crocodile, and a massive tail lashed through the underbrush like a whip. When the shift ended, Mateo stood three meters tall—a hulking werecrocodile armored in scales, his red eyes burning with primal fury.

Boyd slammed his fists into the ground, sending a wave of jagged stone shooting toward Mateo. The crocodilian shapeshifter roared, summoning a torrent of water from a nearby stream. It surged like a tidal wave, crashing into the rocks and exploding into steam and spray.

Mateo lunged forward, his jaws snapping at Boyd's throat, but Boyd twisted aside, his claws slashing deep into the scaly hide. Sparks flew as claw met armored scale, the sound like metal on stone. Mateo countered, swinging his tail like a wrecking ball and smashing Boyd into a tree so hard the trunk splintered.

Snarling, Boyd rose again. He lifted both hands, and the earth responded. Jagged pillars of rock erupted from the ground, stabbing upward like spears. Mateo roared, summoning water to coat his arms, forming whirling, crushing torrents that shattered the stone to rubble.

"Not bad, kid." Mateo sneered, his voice distorted through reptilian jaws.

He surged forward, water spiraling around his claws as he slashed down. Boyd caught the strike, his feet digging trenches into the dirt from the force, then slammed his head into Mateo's snout. Bone cracked. Mateo staggered back with a roar of pain.

The ground trembled as Boyd stomped hard, opening a fissure beneath Mateo's feet. The Cipactli dropped to one knee, struggling for balance, before leaping to safety.

He retaliated by launching a column of water from beneath Boyd, blasting him into the air.

Boyd twisted mid-air, slammed his palms together, and caused stones to float around him, hardening into a massive boulder. He hurled it at Mateo with all his strength. Mateo tried to shatter the boulder with his fist, but it was too big, too fast, and too hard. The impact drove him into the dirt.

The crocodilian pushed the rock off and rose again, but Boyd was already behind him. He caught Mateo's tail and, with a stomp of his foot, made the ground rock-hard. He began slamming Mateo from side to side by his tail with all his strength before finally dropping him to the ground. With his claws, he delivered a devastating blow—his hand driving into Mateo's spine. With a savage twist, Boyd broke it.

Mateo roared in agony, and before he could summon more water to buy time to heal, Boyd flipped him onto his back, straddled him, and began pummeling his crocodilian head. He even formed gloves of solid rock around his hands. One punch, then another, and another. Mateo's teeth shattered, his snout broke, and his skull cracked.

Then Boyd slammed a final punch into the side of his head. The impact was like an earthquake—shaking the ground and sending shockwaves through the battlefield.

Mateo's monstrous form collapsed, unconscious, his scaled body twitching weakly before shifting back to his human form.

---

Meanwhile, deep in the woods, Scott and Darius stepped away from each other.

Scott grinned. "It's getting a little boring, don't you think?"

Darius's lips curled into a smile. "Then let's get more serious, kid."

They roared simultaneously, their auras exploding outward in waves of pressure. Both shifted partially—fur grew on Scott's face, while a mane sprouted around Darius's.

They charged again, both of them grinning.

When they clashed this time, shockwaves rippled out in every direction, more violent than before, creating a deep crater around them, sending a ring of dirt and debris flying outward, and sending animals fleeing in terror from the woods.

Chapter 205: The Fight Against the Chaos Pride Continues

Sep 28, 2025

The symphony of battle continued to echo through the forest.

In a clearing, Malia cracked her neck, a feral grin stretching across her face as her eyes burned crimson. Across from her, Renji, the Nue, stood in his true form: a grotesque fusion of nightmares—the head of a monkey, the powerful, striped body of a tiger, and a long, serpentine tail that lashed the air with a venomous hiss.

"Come on, freak. Show me what you've got." Malia taunted.

Renji's monkey-head screeched as he charged, his tiger limbs propelling him with terrifying speed.

Malia didn't budge. She let him come. At the last second, as his claws swiped for her throat, she simply… vanished. Not in a blur of speed, but completely, her form becoming utterly transparent as she used her intangibility and invisibility.

Renji's claws passed through empty air, the disorienting sensation making him stumble. Before he could recover, Malia materialized behind him, fully shifted. Fur covered her body, her form taller and more powerful—a coyote-headed predator with sharp claws and a bushy tail. She drove her claws deep into his kidney.

The Nue roared in pain, spinning with incredible agility as his snake-tail struck like a whip. Malia took the hit across her face, the force snapping her head back, but she grabbed the tail before he could retract it. With a savage yank, she pulled him off balance and slammed a powerful kick into his ribcage. The sound of cracking bone was like music to her ears.

They separated, both already healing. Malia licked the blood from her lip. "Is that all you've got, monkey?"

Enraged, Renji lunged again. This time, as Malia braced to meet him, he extended a claw, aiming not to slash, but to touch her and use his nightmare-inducing ability. A psychic wave of nightmare energy—visions of deepest fear and despair—washed over her.

Malia blinked. "Huh. Was that supposed to do something?" The psychic assault had no effect on her, thanks to her immunity to mind control.

Renji stared at her with wide eyes, stunned that his ability had failed.

Realizing his nightmares were useless, he attacked again with his claws. But Malia became intangible once more, letting his physical body pass through hers. As he over-extended, she solidified and raked her claws down his striped back, tearing deep furrows into the muscle.

He shrieked in pain. Malia pressed her advantage with a series of crushing blows to his back and head, breaking bones and drawing more blood. But his body suddenly dissolved into a thick, grey mist. Her fists punched through vapor, scattering it.

Malia growled in frustration, leaping back as the mist coalesced a few yards away, reforming into the monstrous Nue. She attacked again, not wanting to give him time to heal, but his body turned to mist three more times to avoid her attacks. Although his wounds healed, he was left panting heavily; the side effect of the transformation to mist was clear.

'He's tired.' She realized, her predator's mind calculating. 'His mist form must have a cooldown. From how he looks, he probably can't use it again for a while.'

She attacked. This time, he didn't turn to mist but shifted into a hybrid form, a monster 2.5 meters tall. Their fists met, creating a shockwave that rippled through the clearing.

Something like this

Malia stepped back and smirked. "You can't become mist for a while, can you?"

Renji didn't answer, still trying to catch his breath.

Malia attacked, and they clashed again—a whirlwind of fur, claw, and fang. The impact of their blows sent shockwaves through the clearing, shaking the trees. Renji was phenomenally strong, his tiger's strength matching her coyote power blow for blow. He sank his fangs into her shoulder, venom flooding the wound. Malia roared in pain, unconcerned about the poison due to her immunity. She responded by grabbing his throat, forcing him to release her shoulder, then drove her forehead into his monkey-like snout, shattering it.

He tried to dissolve into mist again, but it was too soon to use the ability again. His form flickered, becoming semi-solid. It was a mistake, leaving him vulnerable for a critical second.

Malia didn't miss her chance. She phased her hand, making it intangible, and thrust it into his flickering chest. Then, she solidified her arm inside him.

Renji's eyes bulged in agony as her solid claws materialized within his organs. He vomited blood, stumbling back as she ripped her arm free.

That was the beginning of the end. His attempt to turn to mist before the cooldown had consumed too much energy, and the gaping wound in his chest made things worse. His healing slowed, unable to keep up with the catastrophic damage.

Malia didn't let up. She was a whirlwind of violence, using her intangibility not just to evade, but to create devastating offensive opportunities. She'd phase through a powerful swipe only to solidify and break the limb attacking her.

Finally, with a powerful leap, she tackled him to the ground. He was weak, barely able to struggle. Malia straddled his chest, ignoring the weak scratches from his claws.

"This was fun." She said in a deep voice. "But it's time to end it."

Then she started punching him in the face. CRUNCH. His cheekbone shattered. CRACK. His jaw disintegrated. She felt his skull fracture under her knuckles. He struggled for a moment, then went limp, his body shifting and shrinking back into the form of a bruised and broken naked man.

Malia stood up, her own wounds already healed. She shifted back to her human form, brushing a strand of hair from her face, a deep, satisfied smile on her lips. She looked down at the unconscious Renji, grabbed his ankle, and started dragging him through the woods, following the bond she shared with her pack to find them.

She emerged into the area where the other fights had concluded, tossing the broken form of the Nue next to the defeated Chaos Pride members before standing beside Allison, Chris, and Boyd.

"How was your fight?" Allison asked.

Malia smiled. "It was fun. He had a troublesome ability, like my intangibility—he could turn into mist. But it consumed a lot of his energy, and that was his downfall. How was yours?"

"It was fun." Allison said. "I haven't fought someone who could actually hurt me in a while."

Malia looked at the unconscious Chaos Pride members. "So, what are we going to do with these idiots?"

"We wait until the others finish their fights." Chris said. "Then we take them back to the ranch, see who wants their abilities, and kill them, of course."

"Are we going to kill Darius's wives, too?" Boyd asked. "That will enrage him. Make him even more dangerous."

Allison smiled. "That's exactly what Scott wants. He wants Darius to fight with all his strength."

"We really seem like the bad guys here." Boyd remarked. "Killing a man's wives sounds cruel."

Allison snorted. "If you feel sorry for them, go ahead and read their memories. You'll find out just how naive that sounded."

"I don't feel sorry for them." Boyd clarified. "I was just thinking about what I would do if someone hurt Cora or one of you."

"Don't worry about that, kid." Chris said. "Unless someone can kill one of us instantly, Scott can always appear next to us and bring the whole pack. And even if something Scott and we couldn't beat showed up, he could use a shadow portal to get us out."

Allison smiled confidently. "I doubt anything can beat Scott, especially after he absorbs Darius's powers. He'll become even stronger."

Chris looked deeper into the woods, where the forest itself seemed to be trembling from the force of two titans clashing. "The world is too big, Allison. There are monsters out there stronger than Darius, maybe as strong as Scott, or even stronger. We don't really know."

Allison said firmly, "I believe Scott will never lose to anyone. And if something stronger than him ever appears, we'll help him fight it. That's why he has us."

---

Not far from where Allison and the others stood, Noah, the Alpha Werebear, faced Arjun, the Yali. They began in their human forms, two powerful men sizing each other up. Then, with simultaneous roars that tore through the night, they gave in to the beasts within.

Noah's body swelled, his clothes shredding as thick, brown fur erupted across his expanding frame. His bones cracked and elongated, his head shifting into that of a bear. In seconds, a three-meter-tall monster stood where Noah had been, his red eyes burning like embers.

Arjun's transformation was equally terrifying. He grew even larger, towering over Noah at nearly four meters. A leonine body of powerful muscle, covered in short, golden fur, was crowned with the head of a tusked elephant, a thick mane flowing around his neck. His claws were like curved daggers.

Something like this

There was no strategy, no fancy abilities. This was a contest of pure strength.

With a roar, they charged.

The impact was cataclysmic. Their bodies collided with a thunderous crash, sending a visible shockwave outwards that flattened the undergrowth and splintered the bark of nearby trees. Claws, like scythes, raked across thick hides. Noah took a brutal swipe across his chest, deep wounds welling with blood, but he answered by sinking his long bear canines into Arjun's arm and shaking his massive head violently to tear the flesh.

Arjun bellowed, a trumpeting roar of pain and rage, and slammed his forehead into Noah's muzzle, breaking bone. Noah roared in pain, the sound a deep thunder, and responded by wrapping his powerful arms around the Yali's torso and lifting him from the ground. He spun and hurled Arjun into a thick oak. The tree didn't just break; it exploded into a shower of splinters. Noah wiped the blood from his snout, his wounds already healing.

Arjun scrambled up, shaking his head, and charged again. They traded blows that could level buildings. A punch from Noah cratered the ground where Arjun had been standing a second before. A swipe from Arjun Shattered a massive boulder. They were mountains of flesh moving at impossible speeds, each collision creating another shockwave that spread through the forest.

Noah, fighting with the primal instinct of his bear nature and his years of experience in the military and as a law officer, ducked under a swing of Arjun's massive arm and drove upward, his claws tearing into the Yali's gut. Arjun roared, grabbing Noah by the thick fur on his back and using his momentum to flip the werebear over his head. Noah crashed to the earth with a ground-shaking thud.

Before he could rise, Arjun was on him, stomping down with a clawed foot. Noah rolled, the stomp creating a small crater beside him. He lunged from the ground, tackling Arjun at the knees. The colossal Yali toppled like a felled tree.

The fight devolved into a rolling, snarling ball of destruction. They bit, clawed, and slammed each other into the earth. Blood soaked the torn ground. Their incredible healing factors were the only thing keeping them alive; wounds that would be fatal to any other creature sealed shut in moments, only to be torn open again by the next savage blow.

But Noah was gaining the advantage. Arjun was bigger and perhaps slightly stronger, but Noah was an unstoppable engine of relentless power, and his healing factor was superior. He weathered a storm of blows that cracked his ribs and a slash that left a gaping wound on his chest, his red eyes never dimming. The longer the fight lasted, the fiercer he became.

Noah grabbed one of Arjun's tusks and, with a powerful yank, snapped it off.

Arjun screamed, a shrill, pained sound. In that moment of agony, Noah saw his opening. He rose to his full height, battered but unbroken, and brought both of his massive fists down onto the Yali's head like a pair of warhammers, leaving the Yali dazed on his knees.

Noah didn't stop. He caught the Yali's trunk with one hand and with the other began punching his elephant head repeatedly, each blow stronger than the last. With a final, devastating punch, he drove the Yali to the ground, yanked out his remaining tusk, and stabbed it deep into Arjun's chest, straight into his heart. Noah stood and roared loudly, a sound for everyone in the woods to hear.

Arjun's massive body stiffened, his form already beginning to shrink as blood bubbled from his mouth.

Noah stood over him, his chest heaving, steam rising from his hot fur and bloody wounds. The forest fell silent around them. He looked down at the broken form of Arjun, now a dying man lying in the dirt.

Realizing the man was dying, Noah came back to his senses. He cursed and quickly drove his claws into Arjun's chest, beginning to absorb his powers.

Once he was done, Noah's aching body healed completely, surging with energy as if he had never been in a death match. His werebear form grew to four meters, and he felt his strength increase exponentially.

He looked at Arjun's corpse and sighed in relief. "I was enjoying the fight so much, I almost let him die before absorbing his powers."

He had no clothes to return to, so he remained in his monstrous werebear form. Reaching down, he grabbed Arjun by an ankle, his massive hand enveloping the man's leg. He turned and began to drag his dead foe through the wrecked forest, following his bond with his packmates.

He emerged from the trees, a terrifying sight of bloodied fur and muscle, and unceremoniously dumped Arjun's body next to the other captured enemies at the feet of Chris, Boyd, Allison, and Malia.

Chris raised a brow. "You've grown bigger than the last time I saw you in this form."

Noah scratched the back of his head. "I was lost in the fight and didn't come back to my senses until I realized he was dying. So I absorbed his powers."

Chris smirked. "Sounds like you had a great time."

Noah nodded. "Yeah. It was a great fight."

Chapter 206: The Fight Against the Chaos Pride Continues part 2

Oct 6, 2025

As Noah finished his fight and joined Allison and the others, Parrish was facing the fire fairy, Luca, in another part of the woods.

Luca, the fire fairy, began with confidence. Sparks danced at his fingertips, and the air around him shimmered with intense heat. He recognized Parrish as the hellhound.

"People say you can't burn a hellhound, but today I will prove them wrong." Luca sneered, unleashing his power. A concentrated jet of white-hot flame, hot enough to melt steel, roared toward Parrish.

Parrish didn't dodge. He didn't even flinch. He simply stood there as the inferno washed over him, burning his clothes away.

Parrish waved a hand, and the white flames swirled around him before he absorbed them into his body. When the last of the fire vanished, he stood completely unharmed, a faint, almost bored expression on his face as he looked at Luca.

Luca's eyes widened in disbelief. "Impossible! Even if you can use fire, your body shouldn't be able to withstand my white flames!"

"You're flames can't harm me." Parrish smirked. "You should have run the moment you realized I'm a hellhound."

"I don't believe I can't harm you!" Luca shouted, trying again. This time, he created a series of explosive fireballs that detonated around Parrish in a chain reaction. The blasts tore craters in the earth and set the surrounding trees ablaze. The concussive force pushed Parrish backward a few meters, but that was all—the flames themselves only fed his hellhound nature, causing him no damage.

"Are you finished?" Parrish asked, his voice calm.

Panic began to set in for Luca. His primary weapon was useless. In a desperate move, he changed tactics, focusing not on the heat but on the kinetic energy of the explosions themselves. He distanced himself from Parrish and began hurling bigger, faster explosive fireballs, not to burn him, but to blast him with concussive force.

Parrish didn't stay still. He became a blur of motion, his hellhound speed allowing him to weave through the explosions. When a detonation to his left sent shrapnel flying, he phased, becoming intangible for a split second to let the debris pass harmlessly through him. He closed the distance in a heartbeat.

Luca had time for one last, wide-eyed look of terror before Parrish's fire-coated fist connected with his jaw. The impact cracked the bone with a sickening sound. Luca spun through the air and crashed to the ground, his fast healing already struggling to mend the break.

But Parrish didn't give him time to recover. He stomped twice on the dazed fairy's chest, breaking his ribs. Luca gasped, unable to scream as the breath was driven from his lungs.

Parrish hadn't needed to go all out; he hadn't even needed to shift. Luca's greatest ability was his fire control, but his physical strength was only on par with a beta werewolf. He had a very bad luck of facing someone with complete fire immunity.

Parrish looked down at the broken fairy wheezing on the ground. He didn't bother speaking. He simply bent down, grabbed Luca by the collar, and delivered a powerful punch to his temple. The blow nearly fractured his skull and knocked him unconscious.

The entire fight had lasted less than two minutes. The poor fire fairy never stood a chance.

Parrish straightened up and, with a wave of his hand, extinguished the flames consuming the trees around them. Since his own clothes had burned away, he took Luca's shirt, wrapped it around his waist to cover himself, and began dragging the unconscious fairy back toward the others.

He emerged from the trees to see the assembled pack: Chris, Boyd, Allison, and Malia standing near their own defeated foes, alongside the massive form of Noah in his werebear state. Parrish added Luca to the growing pile of prisoners.

He gave a slight nod to the group.

"How was your fight?" Boyd asked.

"Boring." Parrish said. "His physical strength is only about the same as a beta werewolf. His only strong ability is fire control, but I'm immune to fire. The poor guy was unlucky to face me."

---

In another part of the woods, a clash of pure strength was unfolding.

Derek faced Borys, the ogre.

Derek was excited, he could sense the bestial power coiled within the ogre. There were no words, no taunts. A simple, understanding glare passed between them, and then they began to fight.

Derek's body expanded in a symphony of cracking bone and tearing fabric. Jet-black fur sprouted across his swelling muscles, and his face elongated into a ferocious, fanged muzzle. In moments, a 2.6-meter-tall werewolf stood snarling, his red Alpha eyes burning with focused intensity.

Borys answered in kind. His body swelled grotesquely, skin stretching and hardening into a thick, greyish hide. He grew even taller than Derek into a true towering monster, with a brutish head, jagged teeth, and huge, curved tusks jutting from his lower jaw. The ogre let out a ground-shaking roar that echoed through the trees.

They charged. Fist met fist with a thunderous clash that sent a shockwave ripping through the air, stripping leaves from branches. Derek raked his claws across the ogre's tough hide, drawing deep, bleeding gashes. Borys responded with a hammer-like blow to Derek's shoulder that would have shattered the bones of a lesser creature. Derek grunted, stumbling back, but his healing factor was already knitting the damage.

It was a savage brawl. They traded blows that cratered the earth, splintered trees, and shook the very ground. Borys was a pure powerhouse, each swing carrying immense, crushing force. He grabbed Derek and hurled him through a thick pine, the trunk snapping like a twig.

But Derek was faster. Where the ogre was raw, brute power, Derek combined power with lethal speed. After getting caught once, he abandoned recklessness and began using his agility, moving in ways the hulking ogre couldn't match. As Borys lunged for another crushing grab, Derek ducked under his arms, spun, and drove his claws deep into the ogre's back.

Borys roared in pain, swinging a backward fist that Derek easily leaped away from. The ogre was leaving openings with every enraged attack. Derek pressed his advantage, becoming a black blur of motion. He darted in to deliver a series of devastating, focused strikes to the ogre's legs, joints, and head, then leaped back before a retaliatory swing could land.

The cumulative damage was taking its toll. Borys's healing slowed, becoming unable to keep up with the precise, brutal assault. He was slowing down, his movements turning clumsy.

Derek decided to end it. As the ogre swung a wild, overhead punch, he didn't dodge. He met it.

He caught the ogre's massive fist in his own clawed hands, his muscles straining against the incredible force. For a moment, they were locked in a test of pure strength, the ground cracking beneath their feet. Then, with a powerful roar, Derek used all his strength to lift the ogre from the ground and slam him down hard. The impact created a huge crater in the forest floor.

Before Borys could recover, Derek unleashed a final, relentless flurry. A crushing blow to the jaw broke a tusk, followed by another that shattered the jaw itself. Punch after punch rained down until the ogre's head was a bloody mess. He lost consciousness, his body shrinking and reverting to the human form of Borys, bruised and broken.

Derek looked down at his defeated opponent, a low growl of satisfaction rumbling in his chest. 'That was fun, but it would have been even better if he was faster. That way he could've posed a real threat and made the fight more exciting.' He thought.

He grabbed the unconscious man by the ankle and began dragging him through the forest toward the rest of the pack.

---

In another part of the forest...

Melissa faced Selene, the Tarasque. There was no prelude, no boasting. Selene was anxious, worried about her pride, and wanted to finish the fight quickly.

Both of them shifted right from the start.

Melissa's form became a powerful hybrid of woman and grey wolf as she shifted to her full werewolf form, her clothes stretching but holding firm, a bushy tail lashing behind her. Her eyes glowed red.

Selene shifted into her Tarasque form. Her body swelled as a thick, turtle-like shell encased her back and torso. Two additional arms sprouted from her upper body, giving her four powerful limbs that ended in bear-like claws. Her head became that of a snarling lion, and a long, serpentine tail with a stinger whipped through the air behind her. Her eyes glowed red.

Something like this

Selene charged first. Melissa didn't meet her head-on. With a flick of her wrist, a slash of compressed air shot forward, slamming into Selene's shell. It scraped and screeched, leaving a white score mark but failing to penetrate.

"You're not a normal werewolf, huh? But your wind is but a breeze to me!" Selene said in a deep voice.

She lunged, trying to hit Melissa with all four arms, but Melissa was a blur of motion, green wind energy surrounding her body as she used her element to enhance her speed. She ducked under a swipe that could have taken her head off and retaliated by raking her poison-coated claws across one of Selene's limbs.

The venom, potent enough to kill an elephant in seconds, had no effect. Selene laughed, a harsh, growling sound. "Fool! I am immune to all poisons!" Her serpent tail struck like a lightning bolt, but Melissa spun, using a gust of wind to deflect its trajectory. The stinger embedded itself in a tree trunk instead, which instantly began to blacken and rot.

The fight continued. Melissa's speed and wind attacks kept her safe, but she couldn't land a decisive blow on Selene's armored shell. And while Selene was a tank, she couldn't land a single hit on the swiftly moving Melissa.

After trying to break through the shell a few more times with no success, Melissa sighed. 'Normal wind attacks are useless against her. Time to get serious.'

She distanced herself from Selene. "Let's see if your turtle shell can stop this."

Melissa raised a hand, and an arrow of green wind energy appeared above her palm. She compressed it, making the one-meter arrow shrink to twenty centimeters, and with a flick of her wrist, launched it at Selene.

Selene didn't think the arrow would penetrate her hard shell, but she was wrong. The compressed wind arrow struck her shell and pierced it. Although it didn't go in completely, it managed to injure her stomach beneath before dissipating.

Melissa watched. 'I need to make it more powerful.'

She created another wind arrow. This time, she not only compressed it but made it spin rapidly. She launched the spinning, compressed green arrow at Selene.

But Selene was no fool; she dodged this time. The arrow pierced a tree behind her before hitting the ground and exploding, leaving a crater.

Selene looked at Melissa with newfound seriousness and decided to end the fight. She took a deep breath and unleashed a cloud of poisonous purple breath at Melissa.

Seeing that Melissa didn't dodge and was surrounded by the purple mist, Selene laughed. "Now you're done for, you bitch!"

Inside the poisonous mist, Melissa didn't care about the toxin—she was immune. Instead, she focused her power, gathering the air around her claws into a vibrating, high-frequency edge. She shot out of the mist at incredible speed, appearing next to a careless Selene, who thought she had won.

Melissa didn't aim for the shell. She aimed for one of Selene's upper arms.

Her enhanced, sharp claws severed the thick limb like a hot knife through butter. Selene screamed in shock and agony as her arm fell to the forest floor, blood spraying everywhere.

Enraged, she swung wildly with her other three arms. Melissa ducked and dodged, finding another opening. With another focused slash, she severed a second arm.

Selene roared in pain and fury, stumbling back. She looked at her missing arms—both on her right side—and growled at Melissa. "You bitch! I'm going to kill you!"

Melissa smirked. "Don't be angry. You still have two more."

Selene charged, trying to catch her, but Melissa was too fast. She dodged again, striking Selene in the legs and forcing her to her knees. Before she could react, Melissa reached out, grabbed the thick mane around Selene's head, and with all her Alpha strength, drove her forehead forward in a devastating headbutt, shattering Selene's nose.

Selene's vision blurred as she roared in pain.

Melissa didn't let go. She twisted and slammed the dazed woman face-first into the ground.

Selene tried to push herself up, her serpent tail flailing weakly. Melissa landed on her back, ignoring the thrashing. She balled her fist, wind swirling around it like a vortex, and drove it down onto the back of Selene's skull.

Once. Twice. A third time.

On the third impact, she felt the skull crack. Selene's body went limp, her monstrous form shrinking until all that remained was the naked, broken, and unconscious form of a woman.

Melissa stood up and looked down at her defeated foe, a slow, satisfied smile spreading across her lupine features.

"That was fun." She said, her voice a deep growl.

Then she shifted back to her human form, grabbed Selene by the ankle, and dragged her toward Allison and the others.

Chapter 207: The Fight Against the Chaos Pride Continues part 3

Oct 11, 2025

In another part of the forest, Erica stood facing Meilin, the Huli Jing, whose nine black tails swirled behind her. Fox ears twitched atop her head, and her eyes glowed with a malevolent red light.

A faint, seductive smile played on Meilin's lips as she locked eyes with Erica, attempting to hypnotize her.

"Such a beautiful little wolf." Meilin purred, her voice a silken whisper that seemed to slither into the mind. "Why don't you come closer? Instead of fighting, let's have fun together."

Erica felt Meilin's spiritual powers trying to invade her mind, but she just smirked. Immune to mind control, her own eyes glowed red. "I'm not into women, you bitch. And by the way, you should stop your mind tricks; they won't work on me."

A flicker of annoyance crossed Meilin's face before it twisted into something more predatory. "Then I'll just have to drain you dry."

She lunged forward with blinding speed, trying to touch Erica to siphon her energy. But Erica was ready. She knew better than to let a Huli Jing make physical contact.

Erica took a single step back and raised a hand. The forest itself answered her call.

The ground erupted around Meilin. Thick, coiling vines, strong as steel cable, burst from the soil, lashing around her ankles and wrists. Meilin shrieked in surprise, her speed rendered useless as she was yanked to a halt. With a grunt of effort, she tore one arm free, her claws slicing through the plants, but for every vine she severed, two more took its place.

"Aren't you a werewolf? How can you control plants?" Meilin asked, her voice laced with confusion.

Erica smirked. "That's a secret."

Meilin's expression hardened. "Do you think your little twigs can hold me?" She placed a hand on the vines and drained the life from them. The greenery withered, turning brown and brittle, allowing Meilin to easily break free.

"That's an annoying power you have!" Erica replied calmly, her red eyes glowing brighter. "But let's see if you can drain this."

A deep, groaning sound filled the air. The ancient oaks and pines surrounding them shuddered. Bark cracked and twisted, forming crude, monstrous faces with glowing green eyes on their trunks. With a sound of splintering wood and tearing earth, they ripped their roots from the ground, becoming hulking, walking monsters.

Erica pointed a single finger at Meilin, and the tree monsters began to advance, their steps shaking the ground.

Meilin's eyes widened in genuine terror. Knowing she stood no chance against such monsters, she lunged at Erica, hoping to kill the source. But with a wave of Erica's hand, new vines erupted from the ground, tangling Meilin once more. This time, whenever Meilin drained a vine, two more instantly grew to take its place, keeping her firmly trapped.

Meilin barely dodged the first massive, club-like limb, but a second caught her in the ribs with a sickening crunch. She cried out and tried to trap the tree monsters in an illusion, but they were mere extensions of Erica's will, utterly immune to psychic tricks.

They showed no mercy. A wooden fist slammed into her back, breaking it. Another stomped down on her leg, the bone snapping audibly. Meilin's screams turned from fury to pure agony as the animated forest beat her into the dirt. Her remarkable healing factor was overwhelmed, the damage too catastrophic and continuous.

The onslaught continued until her screams faded into weak whimpers, and then into silence.

Erica gave a mental command, and the tree monsters stopped, stepping back.

She walked forward and looked down at the broken, unconscious form of Meilin. The Huli Jing's body was a bloody, twisted ruin, her healing factor completely shut down by the trauma.

With a wave of Erica's hand, the tree monsters dug their legs back into the ground. The faces and glowing green eyes on their trunks disappeared, and they returned to being ordinary trees in the forest.

Erica bent down, grabbed the unconscious Meilin by her clothes—not wanting to risk skin contact—and dragged her back to where the rest of the pack had gathered. She unceremoniously dropped the broken Huli Jing onto the pile with the other prisoners.

Melissa said. "Alright, let's take these guys back to the ranch and decide who's going to absorb their powers. As for Stiles, he wants to absorb that woman's powers, so he'll follow us when he's done."

With that, they dragged the unconscious Chaos Pride members and headed back to the ranch.

Stiles stood across from Astrid, the Huldra. She was breathtakingly beautiful, with cascading golden hair, though a cow's tail swishing gently behind her was the only hint of her true nature.

A deep frown twisted her beautiful features as she looked at the werewolf in front of her, who was staring back with a creepy smile on his wolf-like head.

Stiles, already shifted into his massive 2.6-meter-tall, brown and white-furred werewolf form, looked at her with one of his signature creepy smiles—made even more unsettling in his bestial visage.

"Come on, show me your lightning ability." He said in a deep, rumbling voice. "I'm very curious about it, and I hope it's strong, because soon it will be mine."

Astrid sighed, then touched her lips, giving Stiles a wink and a seductive smile. "Don't you find me attractive, kid?" She asked, her voice enchanting.

Stiles felt her spiritual powers trying to invade his mind and control him, but he simply shrugged. "Well, you are beautiful, but I'm more interested in your lightning powers. Come on, hit me with the strongest lightning attack you can use. I promise I won't dodge."

Astrid was surprised her enchantment had failed, but she smirked. "As you wish, you little masochist." She raised her hands, and a ball of electricity gathered above her palms, growing to the size of a basketball before she launched it straight at Stiles' chest.

Instead of dodging, Stiles spread his arms wide, welcoming the lightning ball with a grin.

The lightning struck him dead-on. His fur stood on end, and he shuddered for a few seconds before shaking his head like a dog after a bath, a few stray sparks flying from his fur.

"Great! Not as strong as Scott's, but you're not as strong as Scott either." He announced, baring his fangs in a wide grin. "I'm very happy with your lightning ability. Now that I've seen the demo..." Stiles's smirk turned evil as he continued. "...it's time to take it."

He lunged at her with blinding speed. Startled, Astrid moved backward with all her speed while summoning a grey mist that swallowed her whole, concealing her from sight.

Stiles stopped inside the grey mist, looking around. "Ooh, you can create a mist? I didn't know you could do that." His smile grew wider. "This ability of yours will be mine too. This is a great haul."

The mist swirled, and another lightning bolt shot out from within it. Stiles sidestepped this one, the bolt scorching a black mark on the ground where he'd been standing.

"Playing hide and seek is fun. I wouldn't mind it another time, but I'm too excited and can't wait to get your abilities, so playtime's over." He focused his hearing and disappeared.

A moment later, a sharp cry of pain echoed from within the fog. The mist instantly dissipated, revealing Stiles holding a struggling Astrid by the throat, the claws of his other hand piercing her abdomen as he began absorbing her powers.

"Thanks for the lightning ability." He said cheerfully.

Her powers flowed from her body, up his claws, and were absorbed into him. Astrid's eyes widened in horror and pain as she felt her very essence being drained. She struggled to free herself, but it was no use; he was far too strong.

When he was done, Stiles dropped her to the ground. He lifted his hand, and electricity crackled above his palm; he smiled with satisfaction. Astrid, weak but still alive, struggled to sit up.

Seeing Stiles looking at her, she begged. "Please, don't kill me! I will do anything you want, just please spare me!"

"Since I'm in a good mood, let me check your memories first." Stiles said. "Maybe I'll let you live."

He bent down, inserted his claws into the back of her neck, and saw her memories. He saw how she used to seduce men, have sex with them until they died, often catching more than one, and have sex with them at the same time. Stiles saw some very wild, disgusting things that made him instantly regret his decision.

He yanked his claws out and cursed. "You disgusting bitch!"

A jet of fire, hotter and more controlled than any natural flame, erupted from his palm, engulfing her completely. Her scream was cut short as her body was incinerated to ash in seconds.

Stiles dusted his hands together. "Damn it, she ruined my good mood." He muttered in anger.

Then he sensed the location of Boyd and the others and found they had returned to the ranch. After a glance in the direction where Scott and Darius were fighting deep in the forest, he turned and walked back to the ranch. "There's no need to worry about Scott." he said to himself. "He'll be fine. He's a monster."

---

Deep in the Forest

Darius, locked in his earth-shattering clash with Scott, suddenly faltered. He had lost the connection with one of his pride members. Then, a moment later, a second connection was brutally severed.

'Damn it. Those two losers, Arjun and Astrid, died too quickly.' He thought.

Distracted, he failed to block a powerful punch from Scott that sent him flying. He crashed through a tree, splitting the trunk in half.

Scott grinned, his fangs glinting in the moonlight. "What's wrong?" He taunted. "You're distracted."

Darius got up and launched a furious punch, but Scott caught his fist. "You're getting weak. Is it because your pride is dying one by one?" Scott leaned in, his voice dropping to a predatory whisper. "Next, your wives are going to die, and you can do nothing to save them."

"No! They will survive until I kill you, kid!" Darius snarled.

Scott yanked the arm he held, pulling Darius off-balance, and smashed a brutal headbutt into his nose. He let go with a smirk. "Are you sure you can kill me?"

Darius wiped the blood from his face. Then, his body began to shift, growing larger and more monstrous. His clothes tore as golden fur sprouted across his body, and a thick, black mane framed a face that was now fully that of a lion. Claws like scimitars extended from his fingers.

He attacked. This time, he was so fast Scott didn't have time to react. Darius's sharp claws tore a deep gash across Scott's chest, sending him flying backward. Scott crashed through one tree, splitting it, and slammed into another before he finally stopped.

He stood up and looked at the grievous wound on his chest, deep enough to see his ribs. But the flesh knitted together almost instantly. He walked back to Darius with a smirk, excited to finally fight someone strong enough to hurt him. He still didn't shift to his full werewolf form; he wanted to fight Darius while still in his partial shift.

Scott attacked, but Darius was ready. He caught Scott's arm, punched him in the face hard enough to break his nose, then tried to slice his throat with his claws. Scott twisted free, avoiding the deadly swipe, and slashed back at Darius's waist. But his claws couldn't penetrate the werelion's tough hide.

Darius kicked Scott hard in the gut, sending him flying backward again. He followed with blinding speed, leaping above the airborne Scott. With both hands clasped together, he hammered Scott down into the earth, embedding him in a crater. Scott spat a mouthful of blood and barely managed to jump away as Darius landed with a kick that deepened the crater right where he had been a second before.

Scott refrained from using any of his other abilities and attacked a few more times, but each assault ended the same way—with him being beaten down by Darius.

Realizing he was no match for the fully shifted werelion in his current form, Scott created some distance.

He wiped the blood from his mouth and said with a smile. "Okay, I'm not a masochist. I admit you are strong, so I'll get serious too."

Darius, not wanting to give Scott a chance to shift, lunged forward. But Scott simply teleported, appearing a few meters away. His body began to change, growing taller. His clothes tore as thick black fur sprouted across his expanding frame, and a tail grew from his back. His head shifted fully into that of a wolf. When the transformation was complete, he stood three meters tall—a monstrous Alpha werewolf in his true form.

He locked his glowing red eyes on Darius and grinned. "Now, let's continue."
