Chapter 39: Visiting Families
We went to school after our very interesting breakfast, if that's what you called talking about dead people. The car ride was silent, and we all headed to our classes in silence.
I spent the first part of school just sitting in classes, and answering the questions aimed at me, whilst making several different designs for spider suits, and weapons, and gadgets, and utility belts, and stronger defenses to place on my family's Parkerwatches, and and on the house, we really needed to give our house a badass name, made to match our badass levels.
Eventually, the bell rang, and I closed my notebook, and headed to the lunch room, and sat at our table, and everyone else was already there. "Oi, mates." I said as I slid into my spot.
Everyone responded back in their own forms, then Tess said "What were you doing in that notebook? It sure as hell wasn't for class, you've known all that stuff for a while."
"Blueprints." I responded.
"I did the same thing." Kaine said, and they all looked at him, and he shrugged, and said "What? I have time, I can use it! Was thinking of multitasking, like what Peter is doing, but I decided not to, Peter had it under control."
My eyes widened ever so slightly at that, then I glared at him, and he sent a look back, telling me to calm down.
I controlled myself, then Ava said "I thought you said that he preferred spending all his time with us, and not focusing anywhere else. What did John mean by you multitasking?"
Kaine, or actually, 'John' looked weirdly at the use of his alias, and I sighed, and said "I'm not actually focusing anywhere else, my current essence is only focused over here. I'm not focused anywhere else, John just worded it wrongly."
"Well then, explain it, so that we can understand." Ava said sternly, looking like she wouldn't take no for an answer.
"Let's not." I said "Sometimes, your greatest enemy is yourself, as well as your greatest ally."
"And that doesn't explain anything." Ava said, glaring at me so hard, I was basically melted. "I'm giving you a chance to spill on your own accord, spill before I make you spill."
"Chillax, Ava." Crystal said, and I was surprised that she was talking to Ava like that. "He just killed someone, he has the right to sulk, or whatever he is doing."
"Making us worry instead isn't a good way to go." Ava said "I get that, that he needs some space, but he went through a weird portal, and I want to know, where did he go. You see his knuckles? He clearly punched something, just to bleed. How long was he punching, to get that effect? It doesn't add up. There's something going on, and I'm worried. -"
"Aww, she cares!" Felicia said, but there was a good amount of venom hidden behind her words.
"Kitten, whatever you want to say, please don't." I said immediately, worried. "We don't need to fight, or argue. We just did that in the morning."
"No, I want to know why she's angry." Ava said.
"I'm angry, because you don't know what I saw this morning, or what I will see this afternoon, or saw, or something, time travel is hella awesome." Felicia said. "I woke up, to see him with tear marks on his face. He was crying, ok!? And you all know that Peter may be vulnerable, he may show his emotions, but he tries his best to hide his weaknesses from us. The fact that I could see that he was barely holding himself together, means that inside, he was already dead twenty times over! And that's before he killed that guy, and killing automatically makes him more emotional! I'm angry, because I noticed his knuckles, and I know exactly what he did, and you don't need to force it out of him! You have no idea when he was! He's killing himself, and just because he is, doesn't mean you interrogate him! Let him calm down!"
There was silence for a moment, then I said "I need some Asgardian wine."
"No, don't you dare do that." Felicia said, glaring at me immediately. "You're just going to make things worse. You're going to make some friends there, and then you're going to get worse."
"That's... True." I said "How do you know what's going on?"
"You're not the only one with insomnia." She said "The signs are kinda obvious."
"Fine, then I'm getting some vodka as soon as school is over." I said.
"You would be breaking your promise to Aunt May if you did that." Kaine said, and when I glared at him, and he raised his hands in surrender. "Ok, ok! I'll stop!"
"Pete." Gwen said. "That isn't going to work out. That's just ignoring your problems, not fixing them."
"Well, his problems are not that simple." Miles said "I would do the same if I were him. Tony Stark did the same thing in the MCU, and I'm supposing every other universe things went the way they did. By the way, Peter, why isn't TVA on our asses right now?"
"Uhh, I may have defeated them a million years ago." I said sheepishly. "I was kind of bored, and I erased them, but Kang was able to get away. It was very basic, just do something, they come, I go to TVA, mess stuff up there, and blow up the whole place, but Kang was able to smack my ass to the ground somewhat, then he just left, to another dimension. I can't move on him, nor will I make a move on him."
"How did he defeat you?" Miles asked.
"With me." I said. "He was able to make a something, that was basically an opposite of me, or something, it was weird. I destroyed all of that stuff, so it's all good."
"Ooh, ok." Miles said "There wasn't some female version of you, that's good."
"I was so worried that would happen." I said "Thankfully, that didn't happen."
"Thankfully, that would have been the worst." Cindy said "Let's just, change topics. I don't want to think about that."
"Wait, if he did have a female version, do you think that he would have done what Sylvie and Loki did?" Miles said, and I was a speck away from vomiting at the thought.
"See, that. That is why I didn't want to go there." Cindy said, looking green herself.
"Miles." I said "Please, go to some therapy. Please. I beg you."
"You need therapy more than me, &$&$@%." Miles said.
"You're not my older brother, or my mom." I said, acting like a kid, and knowing that.
"Stop acting like a baby, Peter." Cindy said, grinning.
"You stop acting like a baby." I shot back, sticking my tongue at her.
"Your sins will always come back to haunt you." Danny said, pausing our foolishness.
"Gee, you think?" I said sarcastically. "I didn't know that, thank you for telling me!"
"He's not wrong." Luke said.
"I'm not running away from anything, guys." I said, after a deep breath. "I know my sins will come back, and are already back. I'm keeping you guys safe from the sins, that's it. We don't need to discuss them."
"From where we're standing, you seem afraid of your mistakes." Luke said, not dropping the topic.
"Oh, well then let me give you a point for good observation." I said "I am afraid of my mistakes, that's why they're mistakes."
"Look, I'm not tryna fight with you, or argue." Luke said "I'm just telling you, you need to face your fears."
"Yeah, well my fears aren't here." I said "They're very far away, and they'll come in about ten years, so don't bother."
"That's ten years of you losing your sanity, Petr." Wanda said, putting her hand on top of mine.
"I know." I said, shrugging. "Nothing to do about that, so why try to do anything about it?"
"Well, beating the shit out of the Goblin might work." Miles said, and everyone looked at him. "What!?" He said "Just a suggestion, and it's not that bad."
"Look, y'all need to stop, and backtrack." Felicia said "He needs his space, and wherever or whenever, just let him go, he deserves the break." She turned to me. "That doesn't mean you don't need to sleep at least one hour a night, I will force you to do at least that much. And your secret is safe with me, but it'll come out pretty soon, news outlets will notice faster than the cops. Just, know that you are not alone."
I nodded, and said "Never forgot that, it is the reason I'm doing this, after all."
Felicia rolled her eyes. "Not the direction I was going, but ok."
"There's only one direction." I said, and we all gave a light laugh.
"Now, what do we talk about?" Tess said, looking around.
"Uhh, I'm not sure." I said, after trying to think of something to discuss for a moment. "What do normal people talk about?"
"Homework?" Liz said "I don't know, maybe how was your morning, but we all know the answer to that."
I shrugged. "Ehh, I don't know. I kind of don't need to worry about homework, so I guess we talk about evening plans?"
"I'm going to patrol." Tess said.
"See you then, I guess." I said, shrugging. "John, you going to do something? I'm going to have to visit Bradley while patrolling, spend an hour or more there."
"I'll patrol as well, and I guess that's it." Kaine said. "And need you call me John?"
"Yes, I do." I said.
"No, you don't."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Kids!" Tess said, and we both stopped.
"Not kids. And he started it." We both said at the same time, and he glared at me, and I stuck my tongue out at him.
"You just proved my point." Tess said, and I flipped her off, without breaking my staring contest with Kaine, sorry, John.
"Boys, enough." Wanda said, after five minutes of us just staring at each other, and the rest wanting to see who would win.
"Wands, the bell is going to ring in a minute, please pity our competition." I said.
"You guys are the same person, what's the point?" Tess asked.
"Not the same person." We both said at the same time. "He's weaker."
"Sure looks like you guys are the same person, with how you guys are saying the same thing." Liz said.
"Twins, not the same person." We both said.
"Whatever you say." Liz said, and I could hear her eyes rolling.
The bell rang, and we both groaned, then covered our eyes with our hands, and stood up, and didn't look at each other as we got out, uncovering our eyes as we exited together.
"Overdramatic." Liz said.
"You realize you're saying that to the guy who worried more about a badass entrance than the fight he was about to get into, overdramatic is my middle name." I said.
"I thought you weren't the same person." Felicia said, looking at me as she got her books out of her locker, I purposely made it so that all of us had neighboring lockers.
"We aren't." Kaine said "Great minds think alike."
"Uhh, you guys are anything but great." AJ said.
"Tell that to your sister." I said.
"Woah, woah." AJ said "Did he just...do that?"
"Yes he did." Cindy said, holding back her laughter, by covering her mouth with her hand.
"Asshole." AJ said, but he (clearly) had no way to respond to my comment, so he started leaving, giving me the middle finger as a parting message.
"Again, I have your sister for that." I said, chuckling.
Immediately, he lowered his finger, and just left, not saying anything, as we all laughed at his expense.
After a minute, we all sobered and headed to our respective classes.
I spent the time as I did in the first half of classes, and then when class was over, we all got into the car, and I said "Y'all want to take the limo tomorrow? It's getting a little squishy in the car."
"Oh, that sounds fun." Felicia said, smirking. "Do it."
"I'm already looked at as the most popular kid at school, imagine what happens." I said.
'I don't think that is your biggest concern. " Jean said, smirking for some reason.
"What is then?" I asked.
"Well, AJ may have told me something." Jean said.
"Ugh, couldn't you have kept me out of this?" AJ complained.
"You realize the only people I talk to at school sit at our table?" Jean shot back. "How would I know?"
"I hate you." AJ said.
"Aww, you know that's not true, I'm your favorite!" Jean said, pouting. "Otherwise, you would've talked to someone else!"
"I'm really regretting my previous rating of you." AJ grumbled.
"While this is very entertaining, I want to know what happened." Cindy said.
"Ahh, you see, there was this thing that happened in class." AJ said, clearly running his time, and his cheeks were red. "I headed to class after lunch -"
"You mean after you gave up on me?" I asked, smirking.
"Leave the poor boy alone, Peter." Cindy said, smirking herself. "He is flustered, and he could use a break."
"Ah, you see, unfortunately, he can't get that break." Jean said in mock pity.
"Oh really?" I asked. "What might've involved that?"
AJ refused to look anywhere other than the floor as he said "Almost the entire school is convinced you and Cindy have done the deed, and the rest are saying you're a playboy, because why not?"
We all started laughing, and I said "AJ, I don't even know what to say. Tell you they aren't exactly wrong, or say that only us two could cause a mess like this."
"I am so kissing your cheek as I sit down tomorrow." Felicia said, and we all started laughing even harder.
"No, do a French kiss." Tess said "You're the best option, especially with your very well shaped body."
"She doesn't have my ass." Cindy said. "I think I should get the French kiss rights."
"This is the weirdest conversation ever." Sam said.
"Rock paper scissors." Felicia said "Best out of five."
"You're on." Cindy said, and she lost three times in a row.
After a moment of surprise, she said "How? I expected my spider sense to help, but it just went on the whole time, and was no help!"
"Honey, you crossed the Black Cat, nine years of bad luck for you." Felicia said, leaning her chair back, and smirking victoriously.
"Dammit!" Cindy said, facepalming. "I should have seen that coming beforehand!"
We arrived home, and we all went inside the house, and I said "Ok y'all, before I go patrolling, I'm going to do something with Felicia, won't take more than five minutes."
"Fine by me." Tess said.
I looked at Felicia, and she shrugged, then said "How're we going?"
"Is that even a question?" I asked, smirking.
"No, of course not." Felicia said, rolling her eyes amusedly. "We're going the overdramatic way."
"There is no other way." I said, and I made portals under us, and we fell through.
We landed in Earth-982, at the front door of the Parker residence of this universe.
"So, I'll see the other version of me, right?" Felicia asked as she rang the bell.
"No, you'll meet MJ, you've never seen her before, I think." I said.
"Oh, is that that girl that Gwen always tries to talk to?" Felicia asked.
I was about to respond, when the door opened slightly, and half a head of a thirteen year old girl was seen, and she looked at us, and said "Time travel or alternate reality?"
"Both and neither." I said, smirking.
"You're the one that fixed Dad, right?" Mayday said, opening the door, and letting us in. "What was it Dad called you? Legend, right?"
"Right on one, Danger Girl." I said. "Felicia, meet May 'Mayday' Parker, daughter of Peter Parker of Earth-982. May, you know who that is, right??"
"Yeah, Anastasia's mom, but from another universe, Aunt Felicia, one of the few people Mom doesn't like." Mayday said, shrugging her shoulders. "All I know is Dad and her have history, the good or bad kind, depending on the perspective."
"Anastasia?" Felicia said "I like the name."
Suddenly, we heard a woman saying "Who's here, May? We're expecting Johnny and everyone else in two hours, and most of them always come..."
MJ entered the room, with Ben in her arms, and saw the two of us, and paused, then "...an hour late."
"Hey MJ." I said, shrugging my shoulders. "Kind of came to say hi, and also let y'all know that I didn't die, where is Peter?"
"You're right here." May said, smirking.
"Ah, the good old time travel and alternate reality/universe jokes." I said, smiling. "Up top, Danger Girl."
She slapped my outstretched palm, and MJ just rolled her eyes at our antics.
Then she looked at Felicia, and said "So you're with her instead of me?"
I facepalmed. "This is why I was hoping I would only see May and Peter, and not have to talk about this, especially with you."
MJ raised her eyebrows. "Why am I so special?"
"Ah, it's more like he can't talk to other you, so he doesn't want to talk to you." Peter said, entering the room.
I gave him a bro hug, and said "So we won! And I nearly died, but my protegé saved me! How's getting back into the field been for you?"
"I didn't get a protegé, but ok." Peter said "And I never said I'm back in the game."
I crossed my arms, and gave him him a look, and said "You realize who you're talking to?"
"Yeah, I'm not talking to myself." Peter said, smirking.
"I will have you know, I am one of the smartest people in my universe, as well as one of the most intelligent, and the most perceptive, and the leader of the superheroes." I said.
"It's been good." Peter said "I hadn't swung for a long time, and it felt like I was back to being myself. Now, you're leading the Avengers where you come from? Nice."
"We don't call ourselves the Avengers, we're the Justice League in our universe." I said "Cuz what are we avenging?"
"Injustice?" Peter saidasked, shrugging.
"Exactly!" I said "So, Justice League!"
"That's cool, and way more bada- I mean, way more cooler of a name then Avengers," we all smirked at his stutter "but, you don't have a really cool battle cry then."
"Avengers is just the name Fury wanted for us." I said "And I'm not exactly Fury's biggest fan."
Peter gave me a look. "What beef do you have with him?"
"A lot of beef, trust me." I said.
"Examples please?"
"Ok, so there's the death of Richard and Mary Parker at his hands, and him thinking of me as a threat the moment he couldn't find my identity, and there's more, but no need to go there, the remaining grievances are things that happen in other universes, not mine, those are just reasons I don't trust him. He's currently at the brig on one of my non biological older sister's ship that we upgraded together."
"Yeah, he is annoying. But he didn't kill my parents in this universe, not that I know of, besides, he's dead, and before you say that I can't be sure, I am, I saw the body burning, and it was recognizable. Cap and Nat told me about his other deaths, and how to know that he died for real." Peter said.
"Yeah, he is pretty sneaky." I said.
"Ok anyways, how about you stay till dinner?" Peter said "The Fantastic Four and Silver are coming over, and so is Felicia, which took a lot of convincing on my part."
"Uhh, just to confirm, Anastasia is Flash's, not yours, right?" I asked.
"I date Flash?" Felicia asked. "Ewww."
"She is mine, but I never knew, until a few weeks ago, and it was real convenient that you came the day after I found out." Peter said, glaring at me. "You saying that MJ of your universe hated you didn't really help things too much."
I was torn between laughing, and feeling extremely sorry for him. In the end, I said "Moving on, why exactly was she named after Silver's mom?"
"Anastasia was basically Felicia's mom in all but name." Peter said.
"Oh." I said "So did you, or did you not date Silver in this universe?"
"You realize we're discussing this in front of two of my kids?" Peter said, with an extremely red face.
"So there may or may not be lingering feelings, got you." I said, ignoring his comment.
"I'm sorry, did you say that there could possibly be lingering feelings?" MJ asked.
"I hate you." Peter said in my direction, with his eyes decidedly glued to the floor.
I smirked. "Change of observation: Peter most definitely has some sort of lingering feelings towards Silver."
"This is not what I expected when I let you in." May said.
But I wasn't focused on her. The main show for me, was MJ glaring at Peter, and Peter looking like a dog with his tail in between his legs.
"Shhh." Felicia said "Don't disturb the moment."
"Oh, good point." May said. "Do I have one or two half-siblings?"
"Peter, tell us." I said "Is there a crown prince or princess in Symkaria?"
"I don't think that he is mine." Peter said immediately.
"How old is he?" MJ said, looking like she was ready for murder.
Peter mumbled "Nineteen."
"I can't hear you." MJ said "Speak up."
"Nineteen." He said again, but it wasn't that much louder than the last time.
"Do you need a mic?" MJ asked.
"He's nineteen." I said, knowing that Peter continuing to be scared for his life and mumbling wouldn't really fix things.
"So you had sex for the first time with Silver?" MJ asked, and May looked like she didn't want to think about that.
"Don't discuss that in front of your daughter." I said. "And give the poor man a break." I turned to Felicia "Can you please get Peter a glass of water? I would ask Danger Girl, but that would mean sending Peter to his death."
"Sure!" Felicia said, and the moment she left the room, I could hear quiet laughter, and I smirked.
"I can't even..," MJ began "You could have told me you suspected, at least."
"Dad has a thing for platinum blondes." May commented absently.
"Danger Girl!" I whispered violently. "You're not helping your dad by saying that!"
"Oh, my bad, he has a thing for redheads." May said.
I facepalmed.
"Look." MJ said "I would have been totally fine if you told me before. Not happy, but fine with it. What stopped you from telling me?"
"I didn't know Silver even had a kid until two years ago, when we were expecting Ben." Peter said sheepishly.
"Danger Girl, I guess we can name your dad the man with fear, unlike Daredevil?" I said.
Felicia came back, and handed Peter the glass, and he took it, and drank it all in one gulp, and started choking on the water.
I facepalmed again. "This man." I walked up to him, and patted his back aggressively, and he took a deep breath. "You good bro?" I asked.
"I just needed a breather, thanks man." He said.
"Sorry not sorry bro." I said "Sorry for causing this mess to appear, but also, when you push things back, you become more afraid, and that can become a big problem."
"I'm thankful you caused this mess." He said, nodding.
"No problem." I said "Now, can we all just take a deep breath, and take a seat, and calm down, then we can talk about this?"
MJ glared at Peter one last time, then went up the stairs.
"Dude, give her a minute to process it all." I said, patting his shoulder reassuringly. "She knows how you're like really brave until it comes to secrets kept from family, so while she may be thinking about hitting you really hard right now, she will calm down in a while."
"I hope so." Peter said, looking at the stairs apprehensively.
A little less than three hours later, we were still sitting on the couches, waiting for something to happen, while making small talk on things other than love interests.
After a lull in conversation, May said "By the way, why do you call me Danger Girl?"
"Mayday, so Danger Girl." I said, shrugging.
The doorbell rang, and I said "Let me answer the door."
I opened the door to see the Fantastic Four, plus another woman and three kids, and I said "Hey guys! You're late, as usual."
They just blinked at me.
"I'm not a ghost y'all." I said "No need to look at me like that."
"When did someone make you sound and look so much better?" Johnny asked.
"I'm from an alternate universe." I said. "Your Peter is inside."
"You don't look like him, but you do at the same time." Reed said, looking at me curiously.
I bristled at his voice, then took a deep breath to remind myself that this was Reed, not Maker, and I said "Kinda why it's alternate universe, rather than alternate timeline."
"You look like Captain America." One of the kids said, a twelve year old boy "Do you know Captain America?"
I knelt down to look him in the eye. "He's my grandfather. But we don't have the best of relationships. What's your name?"
"I'm Franklin." He said.
"C'mon in Franklin!" I said, standing up and giving him my fist. "You want me and you to make a planet together?"
"You can make a planet too?" He asked, bumping my fist, and walking in with me.
"I used to be able to make solar systems." I said "Asshat took most of my powers away."
"Language!" Peter said. "How can the grandson of Cap say such vulgarities?"
Everyone else came in too, and I said "Ignoring Peter, I suppose you are Lyja, right?" I looked at the woman expectantly.
"Your Johnny is with me too?" Lyja asked, going back to her Skrull form as she closed the door.
"Nah, he's still pretty new to his powers." I said "It's only been a couple months max since they got their powers, I know from my...travels through the multiverse."
"And I suppose you're not my biggest fan, correct?" Reed asked.
"Let's not discuss that." I said.
"You know, talking to him cordially could help you." Felicia said.
"No, it'll help Maker." I said "It's not like I won't talk to him cordially, but if I become his friend, I will hold back when I fight him again, like the first time I fought him."
"True that." Felicia said.
"Uhh, you fought me?" Reed said "What did I do?"
"Let's not discuss that." I said.
"That's very cordial." Sue said sarcastically.
"I looked at Sue, then Reed, then the kids, then Peter, then back at Sue, then the kids, then Peter again. " They aren't yours, right?"
"What!?" Sue, Reed, and Peter all exclaimed.
I raised my hands in surrender immediately. "Sorry!" I said "Wasn't suggesting anything!"
"It's just that in our universe, him and Sue have a relationship." Felicia said.
I looked at her. "Not helping anyone."
"I am." She said "Myself. And you were a part of the reason why MJ was very unhappy with Peter, so I can give you his payback."
I sighed.
The doorbell rang.
"Kitten, you answer this one." I said, smirking.
"It would be my pleasure." She said.
She went to the door, and opened it, to reveal Felicia and her daughter that was about the same age as Franklin, and their eyes widened at the sight of Felicia.
"Alternate universe." Felicia said, after enjoying their surprise for a while. "C'mon in."
They entered, and Felicia of Earth-982 looked at everyone, then said "Where's Red? I kinda expected her to try to kill me with her eyes as I entered."
"Mom's...not very happy right now." May said.
"Ok, so there's two Peters, and two Felicias." I said "Call me Karma or Legend, but what to call one of the Felicias?"
"Wait, I thought you were in a relationship with other me." Sue said. "Why are you here with Felicia rather than her instead?"
"I'm not cheating on her, if you're worried about that." I said "It's kinda... Complicated." Felicia snorted at that. "And Sue knows that I'm with Felicia right now, or was, or will be, time travel, and I haven't seen her since two hours before I came here. Now what are calling who?"
MJ came down, and immediately, Peter looked like he wanted to cower behind me. I smirked, and said "She isn't that mad, hopefully."
"How do you know I'm not?" MJ asked, glaring at Peter.
"Ok, what's wrong?" Johnny asked. "You look like you want to kill him."
"Peter, care to explain to your best friend?" MJ said.
"Uhh.." Peter said, scratching the back of his head. "Long story." MJ looked at him, and he said "Ok, ok! I'll explain! Geez! Uhh, I don't really know how to explain the situation."
"I do." May said "I have two half-siblings."
Felicia of Earth-982 looked at May, then at Peter, then at Anastasia, then she said "Ah! Knew that Silver's son looked familiar!"
"You're the father of who now Peter?" Johnny asked.
"Well, I have two children, and the third is on the way." I said, taking advantage of the fact that he said Peter to put my point in. "My daughter is the one I first met, but she isn't the oldest, the oldest is my son, from me and Death. His name's Tartarus, but we all just call him Tarts as short, but his sister calls him Cherry Face, because he inherited the pale white Death has, and when he gets embarrassed, his cheeks look as red as a cherry. My daughter on the way is from me and Nat, we're going to name her Melina, and -"
"Wait a second." Johnny said "You, and Nat! Like, Natasha Romanov?"
"Surprised?" I said, smirking.
"Yes. Very." Johnny and Ben Grimm said.
"Yeah, well, I'm the one of a kind." I said "Expect the unexpected, when you're around me."
"Who's your daughter's mother?" Sue asked, looking at me inquisitively.
"Long story, and the short answer is a lot of people." I said. I was about to explain, when everyone except for my Felicia said "How can that be a long story!?!?!? And how does that make sense?!?!?"
"I'm explaining!" I said, raising my hand in surrender. "So, my daughter's name is Karen SEXI Parker, and SEXI stands for Superior Engineered Xquisite Intelligence, without the 'e' in 'exquisite.' Basically, I created an my daughter, with some help from my biological younger sister. Then I went to Wakanda, and with Shuri's help, I made a physical form for Sunshine. -"
"Hey guys!" Sexi's voice came from all the technology around us.
"That's my oldest daughter." I said, rolling my eyes at her antics, then turned serious. "Sexi, what I am doing, or will do right now stays between us, ok? I'm not going to bring up what I'm doing until the news catches on, and exposes me, Sue will spit statistics at me full speed, and I will die three times over, if not more." I adopted a thoughtful expression. "Y'know, mentally dying at the hands of your family sucks so much more than actually dying, I'm way more scared of what's going to happen when they find out then when I was getting ready to die at the hands of my Father, and I sure as hell know that I will feel much more pain. Dying sixty nine times was still the most painful experience I've ever been through."
"Dad." Sexi said "It's ok, Sue knows."
"How?" I said, after a moment.
"Well, She's Tarts' Mom's favorite, so when Death found out, she told Sue, with the promise not to worry you." Sexi said "I need to find out what to call them, it feels wrong to call them all by their names like that."
"Ask them." I said, smirking, but I was also very worried about what Sue thought about it.
"Dad! Stop overthinking!" Sexi said, and I shook the thoughts away.
"You're with more than one woman." Peter said, finally understanding what I was saying. "But you still didn't explain Sexi's biological parents."
"Yeah, so I have this power, which lets me absorb power, and give me more than what the original was capable of." I said "Amulets, powers contained within blood that I inject within myself, anything. I've even integrated vibranium within myself. But anyways, that power is the reason I have a whole lot of powers." I stretched my hand, and grabbed a glass of vodka as it appeared, and drank it in one sip. "Before, I could make solar systems without problem, but The Shadow took a lot my powers away when he killed me. I used to be one of the strongest people in my universe, there was only a handful people who could fight against me, and have a chance of winning. Sucks that I will have to fight a whole lot of badasses, without my powers." I shook my head. "But that's not the topic, so, I only adapt the powers. I edited the serum that gave me the powers so that Sexi could change both looks, and powers. Hence, when she wants to, she gets someone's blood, and her looks change ever so slightly. My genes still make fifty percent of her gene, but the rest is in way smaller parts, for different people."
I made six glasses of vodka, and grabbed them with my appendages, then drank them all in one go.
"That's not very healthy, you know." Sue said "What would other me say about that?"
"She wouldn't be happy, but she would understand." My Felicia said hotly. "You don't know exactly what is going on, he's the king of the multiverse, y'know. He has more on his plate, then any other immortal or mortal has ever had."
"Calm down, Hothead." Felicia of Earth-982 said, grinning.
"He kind of had one of the worst mornings in his life, and seeing Stretch isn't helping things at all." My Felicia said, but she was no longer glaring at Sue.
"I'm not that bad, am I?" Reed asked. "Even though the thought that I don't get together with Sue is not my favorite, but I don't think I would be that bad over that."
"That wasn't the problem." I said, my eyes dark from rage.
"Calm down, Pete." my Felicia said, looking at me concernedly.
I took a deep breath. "Sorry." I said, shaking the memories from the dream away. "Thanos and Maker are just really annoying, and I can't do anything about that.'
Sue was about to say something, but the bell rang.
"I'm opening it." I said, and opened the door, to reveal a platinum blonde woman with a gray dress with silver glitter on it, and a handsome kid, who I guess was Peter's and Silver's.
"Hey guys." I said "I'm Peter from an alternate universe, and I kinda just popped up to say hi to Peter, and he told me to stay for dinner. I expected you to be the one person who would come on time."
"No point in being the only punctual person." Silver said, shrugging.
"True that." I said, letting them in. "I never met the Silver in my universe, but I will sometime soon, what with rumors of Silvio Manfredi coming back into the New York Crime arena."
Silver paused to look at me. "That was my father's favorite alias, watch out."
"He's not my biggest problem, just a little thing on the side." I said, then looked at the kid. "What's your name, kid?"
"Anatoly." Silver's son, Anatoly, said.
"Nice." I said. "Who are the two other kids? One is Valeria, I suppose, but who are you?"
I knelt down, and looked at the twelve or thirteen year old boy in the eyes, and he glared at me, then closed his eyes, and opened them again, still glaring at me, then turned away, crossing his arms.
"Kid's very sassy." I said, chuckling.
"You're dark." The kid finally said, looking at me again, but with a guarded expression in his eyes. "If we were your enemies, you would be out of this house faster than Tommy, but you would leave bodies bleeding to death, without the energy to speak, but with the ability to feel pain. You look at Uncle Reed, and your soul becomes so much more dark, and I can see pictures of a dead body, with two holes in its head, and a barely recognizable body, and I can tell you were holding back. You're old. Older than even The One Above All. Underneath all the dark, and age, you have a light, a light so bright, when I saw it, I closed my eyes. I opened my eyes again, and saw how the light was actually fuel, made of past, present, and future, and the brighter the light was, the darker the cloak was. The cloak is fueled by light, you are something I have never seen before, except in one place, within myself." He stretched his hand my way. "I'm Richard Storm."
I shook his hand, smirking. "Me and you are going to have a lot of fun for the next couple million years, Mephisto wannabe."
"You were able to defeat that weakling, you won't be able to defeat me." Richard said, flaming his hand that was still in a handshake with him, and I raised an eyebrow in a challenge.
"Just you wait, I threw Jean off with my flame." He said.
"Whatever you say, OH SHI!" I pulled my hand out immediately, and nursed my burning hand. "That's it, you're asking for it at this point, you little -"
"Language." Anatoly said, and I gave him a look, then focused on Richard again.
"Round two." I said, giving him my hand, as it started to flame, and the air around me started to shimmer, from the amount of heat I was releasing, like what happens when you have a barbecue, and the air above the grill shimmers ever so slightly.
"You're on." Richard said, lighting his hand as well, and grabbing mine.
We were both at it for all of ten seconds, then our clothes burnt off, and we went on fire all over, not about to let anyone see our bodies just like that, and in the distance, I heard Johnny say "Careful! You guys are inside, and the last time you went to your full extent, you burnt a solar system, but I would rather you both didn't go crazy!"
"Let me take care of that." I said, and made a force field bubble around us, letting the others see us, but not letting the heat out.
Immediately, Richard got even more hot, and I responded in the like, and all of the force field bubble around us was just fire, hotter than a trillion supernovas, and we were just waiting for one of us to back down, then after a few minutes, both of us backed down at the same time, and got blasted to the walls, making sure our heat went down immediately, and both of us said "Dammit! Just one more second, and I would have won!"
"You should meet his clone, kid." My Felicia said "The three of you together will have a lot of fun."
I materialized some clothes for myself as I stood up, and threw Richard some clothes his size, then grabbed a Parkerwatch out of thin air, and strapped it onto my wrist.
Richard got up, finally wearing his clothes that I gave him, and said "That was fun."
"Are you ok?" All of the Fantastic Four and crew were asking, crowding all over him.
"He's not a kid." I said, rolling my eyes "Give him a break, and let him do something like that every now and then. Come to think of, what exactly are your powers?"
Richard struggled to get out of the grasp of his parents and uncles and aunt, then when he did, he said "I'm an Omega mutant, with Mephisto's powers, but my hell isn't as cool as his, not yet anyway, it'll take a while till that, and Dad's and Mom's powers added to that."
"So you know what I am." I said, testing his abilities.
"Yes, I do." Richard said "Welcome to the multiverse, even though you have been around longer than I have been around."
"Appreciate that." I said. "Just don't do what Mephisto did, and we'll be the best of friends."
"Yeah, well, don't mess up with Aunt Sue, and we'll be better than best friends." He said.
"You're as powerful as Richard." Reed said "How powerful are your enemies, that you are afraid of them?"
"I'm more powerful than him, knowledge is power, and I have a lot more of that." I said "And I don't know how strong they are, and that's the problem."
"Drop the topic, and don't push it." Richard said, and to my surprise, they didn't.
"Now, onto more amusing topics." I said, after a moment of silence. "Anatoly, who exactly is your dad?"
Peter groaned, and Anatoly looked at him, then at his mom, then at himself, then back at Peter, and said "Huh. How did I not see that coming?"
"Hey there, half bro!" May said, bumping his fist. "I didn't even know you existed until today, neither did I know you were showing."
"What!?" Johnny said.
"Let's just go eat, and discuss this later on." I said, not wanting to cause any problems.
After a minute, we were all seated in the living room, with our food, and seated on the couches, and I said "So who was the latest baddie anyone faced?"
"The Avengers these days are just kids that don't know what they're doing." Peter grumbled.
"Huh." I said "I'll see to it, that we don't face that problem, in our world. I had some plans for that, by making teams that were made of the next generation of heroes, without any of the previous generation's heroes, but we have some liaisons that interact with them, and point out any minor flaws, and they will live side by side with us, and spar with us, and occasionally, I'm thinking of having their team spar against ours, and possibly have paintballing tournaments, between the different teams, and things like that."
"Impressive plan." Silver said "But how, do you plan on having those kids following your plans?"
"One." I said, raising a finger. "I have another Spider-Man on the younger generation, but he is not that much younger than me, so if he doesn't work, then it's going to be one of my kids, or my nephews and nieces, or even my kids, that would be my greatest pride. Whoever it is, I trust that even though they will disagree with being under my leadership, they will accept my mentoring, and aid. Two, I don't plan on making the teams I want to see, they will do it by their own, and the teams that are racist, and are made up only of Inhumans or Mutants, will automatically fall apart with time, it's bound to happen. Not that there isn't the Spider Squad, or the X-Men, or the Royal Family Of Inhumans, but I'm saying, the teams will compliment each of their individual weaknesses, and if they are missing something, I plan on suggesting that they find someone with the expertise they need on their team. I've seen a lot, and I trust that things like this will automatically happen, and will need some work, but I trust all will go well."
"Spider Squad?" May asked.
"Yeah!" I said "Spider totems, all of us, from our universe, we have a lot of fun! We patrol the city all together sometimes!"
"You are planning generations ahead." Peter said "Do you expect to reap the benefits?"
"No." I said truthfully. "If all goes as planned, I might reap the benefits, but when do things ever go as we want? This is the life of one who treads the path that I do. I have killed Doom, I have killed Killmonger, I have killed Killmonger 2.0, I have killed Baron Mordo, I have killed Morlun, I have killed Daemos, I have killed Solus, I have killed Jennix, I have killed Dormammu, I have killed many others, I have sacrificed so much, but one day, I will be floating in nothingness, not knowing whether it all turned out to be worth it or not, whether holding the pain within for as long as I have, whether loving, whether rearing children, whether doing all that I have, whether any of it was worth it or not. Peter, you are able to say that, you know why? The worst has already passed for you, you are not plagued by your enemies, by your memories, by those you failed, by those you've left behind, not like I have. I know you lost Gwen, but you don't know what I went through, no offense. I am plagued by nightmares, sent to me by an enemy of mine. I can't stop it, I have no idea how to, or what the repercussions will be, so I am forced to watch my family die every single night, in the most horrific manners, by my greatest enemies. I'm not telling you this for no reason, I always have a reason. Four of your children are sitting in this room, kid. You have a chance, to be the best you can for them, without the problems I have."
I made a barrel of vodka appear in my hands, and I poked a hole in it with my fangs, and drank it all, much to the horror of the others.
After a minute, I was done, and I disintegrated the empty barrel, and said "I'm barely even feeling it, that's how strong my metabolism is. Good luck, Peter Parker of Earth-982, I hope you get to keep your family. I hope you die with them at your bedside, and for you to not be the reason they all die."
I stood up, and laughed lightly, scoffing at the end of the line I saw a couple years down, the ultimatum Shadow was suggesting ever so slightly in the whispers he placed in my brain.
"Peter..." Felicia said worriedly, my Felicia, not 982 Felicia.
"Father has just been messing with me." I said, raising a hand in dismissal. I materialized four Web Warrior edition Parkerwatches in my hand, and gave one of them to Peter, and the other to his three older kids. "Web Warrior edition Parkerwatches." I said "They're connected to The Web Of Life, and you can contact any of us, if you are in need of assistance. Report any problems you have, or have ever had, and I want to make a database of villains, and plots, and things we have all been through, so that when anyone hits a block, they can consult the database. It doesn't necessarily need to be about villains, I want a database about any possible situation Peter Parker has ever been through. For example, a way to give Ben the option to switch between human and rock forms." I cast a spell on him, and he turned into a human. He looked at himself incredulously, then he went back to rock form, and back to human form again. "Peter Parker may have fallen, millions of times, but now, he will only fall once or twice, hopefully. All my recruits from the first war with The Inheritors have their watches, and they have uploaded their stories. I wish you the best of luck, Peter Parker of Earth-982."
"Same to you." He said, looking at me with a combination of awe and respect. "I hope you are never ever responsible for your loss, I think you think that will happen."
"Not think, I know." I said, then I unsheathed my blade, and used it to cut a portal in the air, made of pure Web Magic, and bursting with power. I looked at Silver, and said "Hope I meet your multiversal counterpart."
She nodded, and with a last wave, and a salute Richard's and Franklin's way, we left, me and Felicia.
We were in front of the Parker Residence of Earth-947572, the universe I came to for recruitment, but found out that Felicia was pregnant here, and then left.
"Peter." Felicia said as I was about to knock the door. "What does your Father want you to do?"
"Please, don't ask." I said, squeezing my eyes shut. "It's so painful, the thought. I swear, he is messing with me in any possible way he can, for no reason. He could have waited until another day, but no. He had to tell me today in school, after lunch. Killing him means nothing to me anymore."
I rang the doorbell, not wanting to continue the conversation.
The door opened, to show a tired Peter Parker, with bags under his eyes, and he looked at us, and said "So you're alive, and you met your Felicia. Nice."
He opened the door, and we walked in.
"As you can probably tell, there has been an addition to the family since you last saw me." Peter said as we entered.
"Is it a boy or girl?" I asked "And what color is the hair?"
"Girl, white hair." Peter said, reaching into a bassinet he had in the side of the living room while smiling. He took his daughter in his lap, and walked our way, rocking her slowly as he did so, and said "Peter Parker of Earth-313, I present to you Maria Parker of Earth-... What number is this one? I don't think you told me."
"Earth-947572." I said, smiling. "I didn't tell you, I kind of forgot. I remember when my daughter got a human form, I was so happy, I just as well could have been on the moon. Congratulations Peter."
"Thanks a lot, bro." Peter said "How'd the war go?"
"It went well." I said "But that's not what we're here for, we're here to see you. How are you guys doing?"
"Well, things are awesome!" He said "Felicia went to get some more clothes for Maria, because, and I quote Felicia on this, quote 'you couldn't tell a girl's shirt from a boy's shirt if you tried, and even if you could somehow, then you would pick a whole lot of pink.' End quote. And well, she isn't wrong, but ouch!"
"I'm sure she didn't mean to say you were a bad parent by saying that." Felicia said "Just... Not the best at clothes shopping. And that's fairly normal."
The door opened, and Felicia of Earth-947572 entered the house, and said "I'm back! Give me my baby girl, she doesn't want to sit in your lap for that long, she wants mama!"
She came to the room, just dropping her bags upon bags of shopping on the side, and immediately took Maria, giving Peter a quick kiss on the cheek, then kissing Maria on the forehead. "Dad was annoying, wasn't he?" Felicia asked Maria, and Maria babbled in response. "He didn't even kiss you! That's not good at all, we have to give him trouble for that, right?" Maria just continued babbling, and Felicia still didn't notice me and Felicia, well, she didn't notice my Felicia, she definitely knew that she, herself, was in the room. "Here, I'll kiss you for him, then I'll have Dad take the tags off the clothes one by one, and then read the labels, and sort them out, and put them in the washing machine according to the instructions, then put them in the dryer, on the right settings, then take them out, and hang them in your closet nicely, without messing anything up, and it's going to take him the whoooole day. Do you think that's a good idea?" Maria babbled even more. "Ok, we're going to help him, that works too, honey."
"Never thought I'd ever see myself that domestic." My Felicia said, after a moment of silence.
Felicia looked at us, then said "You're alive!? Peter was super worried about you! And you met me, pretty cool! And yeah, never thought so myself, but I'm very very happy, so that's good enough for me. Did either of you get to hold your... Niece? Or daughter? Or neither?"
"Niece." I said "And no, Peter was a terrible host, he didn't even let me hold her, or give me something to drink."
"Peter!" Both Felicias said, looking at the Peters from their respective universes, and I laughed at what I did.
"Here, take your niece then." Felicia said, giving me the baby, and I held her carefully, rocking her at the same time. I leaned back, and closed my eyes with a smile, and next thing I know, I am being shaken softly by the shoulder, and I open my eyes to see no Maria in my arms, but I was still in the same position. "How long has it been?" I asked, groaning as I straightened up.
"Twenty minutes, I just took Maria." My Felicia said, rocking the baby, and smiling, but her heart skipped a beat when she said I slept for only twenty minutes. "Come to think of, I actually could get used to this any day. Hold my own baby, and rock him or her to sleep, that may seem domestic and unexciting and uneventful, but this feels so good. How was it when you were with Tarts?"
"It was something else." I said "But I would avoid sleeping, Father was still young, and way more curious about me, so I didn't really enjoy sleeping as much as I do these days, so I just rocked him in my arms. A pity I never had those memories with Sexi. But I will definitely frame a picture of Sexi rocking Melina to sleep. Where's Peter and Felicia?"
"We're right here." My Felicia said, smirking.
"The ones from Earth-947572, please." I said, rolling my eyes.
"They're taking care of the clothes." Felicia said.
"How long did I really sleep?" I asked.
"Two hours, it was a step up, and I figured you could use the rest." Felicia said.
"Love you." I said softly.
"Love you too." She said, her green eyes sparkling. Then she adopted a sad expression, and said "Whatever happens to me, even if you can't save me, I want you to know that, ok? I know something's wrong, and you're afraid, but I want you to know that, ok? It'll be all right."
How will you respond, Son? I heard Shadow whispering in my brain.
I ignored him, and said "It won't be all right. I don't have any options."
"Then even as I vanish, even as you outlive me, I will still love you." Felicia said.
"I don't want to live though." I said, sobbing without tears. "I want to die, but I can't. I never should have gone back in time, or asked to keep some of my powers."
Felicia sighed. "I know lover, I know. I don't know how you feel, but I know what you feel, and why you feel like that. But listen, what's the point then? There is no point if you just die, and we die after you."
Felicia sat down next to me, and I side hugged her, and we stayed like that for a while, then other Felicia was coming our way, and before she entered she started saying "How's the bonding time with your niece going Felicia? Your Peter sure seemed to be..." She paused when she saw us, and said "You guys are having bonding time, sorry."
"It's fine." Felicia said, getting up and transferring Maria to her mother's arms. "We finished talking like five minutes ago."
"Ok, if you say so." Other Felicia said "So what's your plan?"
"I think we should be leaving anytime soon, to another universe." I said, standing up. "After that, we're headed home. I just need to give Peter a watch first."
"A watch?" Other Felicia said, confused.
I lifted up my hand, and a Parkerwatch materialized in the palm of my hand. "This is a Web Warrior edition Parkerwatch, I'm using them to house suits, and you can also access and edit the database I made for Peter Parkers on it, as well as travel the multiverse. It requires a retinal scan before opening though, can't have a random person opening the database, or traveling."
Peter entered the room, and I handed him the watch, and said "Web Warrior edition Parkerwatch. Contains a suit, ability to make portals across the multiverse, as well as access to a database, which I want you to add to. This database is filled with all the different stories gathered by different Peter Parkers, during their journeys. It makes things easier, because if you're fighting someone and you're confused, you can consult the database, and analyze the possibilities."
"That would be so convenient." Peter said in awe, looking at the watch. "If I had this before, then I would have known that Norman might not be dead, and that would have made things better. Thank you."
"No problem." I said, shaking his hand. Then I made a portal with my sword, and we went through, after some goodbyes and promises to visit each other again.
We landed in Earth-467583, and me and Felicia looked at each other, smiling at each other with a combination of sadness and happiness, and then I nodded in the direction of the house, and I said "This Peter has a similar story to the previous one, but his Gwen Stacy didn't die, and she is a spider totem, and they have kids, I don't know how many, I just know they have kids."
"Well, we should take a picture of them, and tease our Gwen with it then." Felicia said.
I shrugged. "I should go away, millions of universes away, in my own universe, that's empty, devoid of any life other than I. No point to anything."
Felicia slapped my cheek. "Don't say that!" She said "You... Are Mr. Bleep, and you will find a way to stop whatever is coming your way, and if you don't, then you'll still try your best. I swear by your ass, if you do that, I will find a way to find you, I'm going to drag your ass back."
"Did you just call me Mr. Bleep?" I asked, amused.
"Maybe I did, but does it matter?" She asked. She grabbed my hand, and pulled me to the door, and I just followed, not really having the willpower to protest, not that I really had a reason to.
She rang the doorbell, and after a minute, I heard two kids screaming from inside "I got it!"
A moment later, the door opened, to reveal two kids, a boy and a girl, both about ten years old, answered the door, and I was confused that there wasn't anyone else.
"Hey kids." I said, masking my confusion. "Where's the parents?"
At first, the kids were only looking at Felicia, and when I talked, they looked at me, and our spider senses pinged, letting us know that each of us had powers, and they started stumbling over their words.
"You're like us, you have powers." The girl said, after a couple moments of stumbling.
"Yes, I am." I said "Where's Peter?"
"He's not here." Another voice said, and I saw an older girl come, about twelve years old. "Do you need anything?"
"Well, a talk with your parents would be appreciated." I said, quirking an eyebrow, revealing a little bit of my confusion, but the older girl wasn't looking at me, she was glaring at the younger kids. "I did ghost on him last time I visited, after all."
She looked at me, and her eyes widened as our spider senses pinged, and she glared at me, then said "Listen, I don't know who you are, and somehow, you did something no one other than my family should be able to do. Who. Are. You."
"Peter Parker of Earth-313." I said "Nice to meet you, your dad knows me, and so does your mom. You can confirm with them, if you want to."
"So that's why Mom and Dad were whispering about the multiverse theory a couple weeks ago." The older girl said "C'mon on in, I'm Mary, that's George, and that's Elizabeth." She tapped each of their heads as she said their names, and they glared at her, and she just smirked at them.
"Elizabeth?" I said, as I entered. "Please don't tell me Liz is dead here."
"No, she's just named after her." Mary said.
"Nice." I said, looking at the pictures hanging on the wall. "Where's your parents? They'll probably kill me, and I kind of want to get that over with quicker, rather than slower."
"Dad's at work." The younger kids said.
"What they said." Mary said "Mom's upstairs though, she'll come down anytime now."
A moment later, I heard Gwen say "Kids? Who's here?"
Then she entered the room, and she saw me, then immediately, she came to me, and slapped me hard on the face, and I said "Ow! Felicia just hit me there right before entering your house, give me a break, and hug me for once, or something!"
"I think sleeping with you is better than simply a hug, but I know that you want hugs too." Felicia said, then she gave me a side hug.
"Aww, thank you!" I said, hugging her back. "Love you!"
"Who are you?" Gwen asked, looking at Felicia. "Oh wait! You're that cat girl! Black Cat, right?"
"The one from Earth-313, yes." Felicia said.
"Well, can I ask, where exactly is Gwen? She is alive, isn't she? And hopefully, she is ok, right?"
"She's at home." I said "And she's also fine, thankfully. But, I'm confused. Are you letting your ten year old kids swing around the city, even with the thugs out there?"
"George and Liz don't go out." Gwen said, looking at me like I was dumb. "While I know Peter may have started at a young age, he wasn't that young, and I'm only letting Mary go because her and Peter literally begged for me to, and when I said no, they just snuck out, and I only found out when Mary took Rhino out alone, with her father watching in the background."
I whistled. "Nice job, Mary. I am actually impressed that you were able to accomplish that, what was your time?"
"Ten minutes." Mary said, but it didn't look like she was very proud of the time.
"Ten minutes!" I exclaimed. "On your first try!? Only few versions of Peter can say that they even beat Rhino on their first go. Nicely done, Mary. What's your moniker?"
"Spider-Girl." Mary said.
"Nice!" I said. "Now, when is Peter coming?"
"He comes in an hour or two, depends." Gwen said.
"Well, I'm really sorry, but I don't have the patience for that." I said "Here, take these watches. They can give you the ability to travel the multiverse, don't abuse th power, but don't shy away either. Also, please add all of your experiences, I'm trying to make a database, so that whatever any spider totem faces, they can go back to this, and easily breeze through their problems. Don't give dating advice though, just do that in person."
I put the three watches on the coffee table, then we stood up, and made a portal, and right before we left, Gwen said "Peter."
I turned around, asking what she wanted to say with my expression.
"Next time, you're taking us, whether you want to or not." She said.
"If that'll help you sleep at night, then I'll say yes for now." I said "Bye, till next time."
"Till next time." They all said, and we went through the portal.
We landed home, and I said "Ok Felicia, I have to go patrolling with the rest, see you later?"
She kissed me without any warning, and I melted into it, then after we parted, she said "Remember that, and don't you dare leave to the middle of nowhere."
"No promises." I said cheekily, as I suited up and fell through a portal I made under myself.
The expletives I heard as the portal closed were better not to be remembered.
