Chapter 30: The War Begins In Earnest
I sat cross legged several feet above the tip of the Empire State Building, and I closed my eyes, and started using my powers, as well as my Web Magic, to block all the universes, except for my universe, and Earth-001.
Moments later, a portal opened on the ground, and I floated downwards, towards the portal. The Inheritors filed out of the portal, sans Morlun. "Missing a member, aren't we?" I asked.
Solus looked angry, and he said "You may have taken one of us out, King, but that will be so for only so long, and you will fall, as will your army." He looked around, and said "It's teeming with life, with totems. You realize that this is advantageous for us, rather than you?"
"That's what you think, Solus." I said "As you said, this place is teeming with life. And life, you know what it's about? It's about kicking your enemy in the face, it's about defeating every fear, it's about being on top, till your time is over."
"We shall see, King." He said "How about you see our version of life?"
"Clones, very scary." I said, much to their surprise. I increased my size, then I said "Bring what you got, Solus."
The portal increased in size, and millions of them started pouring out. I bared fangs and stingers, and gave them all Uru edges, making them sharp, and added that to my legs, and I rushed at them, taking thousands of them by the moment. They tried to fight back, but I was just taking care of them like they were nothing, then I sensed more portals being created, so I copied myself a hundred times, and sent my copies across the city, and said "ATTACK!"
Immediately, the spider totems emerged, and started attacking, and the war began in earnest. I was surrounded by five portals, and millions were surrounding me, and I took one of them, and did some Magic on her, making every single version of her under my tracking, so I could use later on, this was Jennix, the smart one. Then I started fighting again, and my eyes turned into a kaleidoscope of colors, and I blasted all of the ones around me, to a pulp.
In another place, I was fighting side by side with 616, and I said "You and Cindy dating or anything back at your place?"
"I need a chastity belt, dude." He said "I can't help but feel that we're just doing this for the kicks. How are you and your Cindy managing to be around each other, but not go crazy?"
"See, thing is," I smashed a hundred of them to the ground. "with us, we're each other for both reasons! With you, it's just the kicks! So get to know her! Not just for your instincts, and the good time you guys have! Know her for the Cindy under the bandana! Know her for Silk, the badass partner who you can depend on! She's not your fuck buddy, she's a person, a beautiful, nice, good, wonderful woman!"
"That makes sense!" He said "We aren't really attracted to each other! That's true! So I have to know her, the girl under the mask. Thanks, Legend!"
"Anytime, 616!" I said "What do you want me to call you? I don't think 616 is a very nice name to always go by."
"Let's see." He said "I would totally say to call me Reilly, but that's Ben's name. Ugh, just call me 616."
"Very well then, 616." I said "If I die, I just want you to know, it's an honor, to have fought with you by my side."
"You won't die, Legend. Not if we have anything to say about it, as a whole. You have a family, a large one, crazy by the way. You need to go back to your family."
"Peter, 616, I'm walking towards my death, as we speak. Don't worry, I'm just saying. It's been an honor."
"You don't need to die!" He screamed at me. "You don't need to! You deserve to come back to your family! You deserve to have more kids!"
"The ones who deserve it don't always get what they want, or deserve, Peter." I said. "There is nothing else left, I am walking to it, as we speak, it's been an honor." And I faded away.
In another place, I was fighting alongside Peter of Earth-7645, my first successful recruit. "What do you think of this, 7645?" I asked.
"I think it's real crazy, but I'm somehow accepting it!" He said "It's as if I'm supposed to not be surprised!"
"That's because this is something our spider side was expecting, since the beginning!" I said "This was always destined for us, 7645!"
"It was!" He said "Don't kill yourself, please, Legend! I know that you're planning some crazy shit, and it may cost you your life, but please don't!"
"I don't have a choice, Spectacular!" I said "Whatever it takes! That's my motto! Not with great power comes great responsibility, mine is different!"
"You are our king, Peter! That means you have to live, so that the Kingdom doesn't fall apart! The world needs you! Your family needs you!"
"Spectacular, I need my family to stay alive, and safe, and unhurt. When you get a family, you'll know why I did this! Goodbye, Spectacular Spider-Man." I faded away.
In another place across the city, I was fighting alongside Peter of Earth-68537, and I said "You know my responsibility as a leader, so you know what I will do."
"I do." He confirmed. "If you make it out, and you ever need help, maybe your universe kicks you out, anything, I'm here for whatever you need."
"I appreciate the gesture, Ultimate." I said. "But I request that when I go down, that you help my family, every now and then."
"I will do my best, Legend." He said, then after we smashed a couple Inheritors, he said "But I can't help but notice, you're not exactly with Ava here. Something wrong?"
"It's barely been a week since she met me, I think. It may be more, my timekeeping was always spotty, and with my going back in time, it got worse. How are you and your Ava?"
"We're doing good!" He said, happily. "We've been together for a while now, almost a year and a half, and we're engaged!"
"You should've told me, Peter." I said "I stopped several family men from joining, and I didn't want any of you to risk your family."
"I didn't tell you, Peter. Don't worry about it, we're past that point now. Now, good luck, you need all your focus." I nodded, and then I faded away.
I appeared where the rest of my family was, five clones of me, and I said "Guess this is our goodbye, the last one, probably. I just wanted to say -"
"Shut up!" Tess screamed at me. "Get your ass in the fight, and don't give us any goodbyes, because you're going to come back! You can't not!"
She started crying, and I just shook my head softly at myself, and said "I'm sorry, Tess. You're my baby sister, and you always will be. Guess we're not saying goodbye, then. Any of us."
I took my mask off, and went to Tess, and put it in her hands, and kissed her forehead, and she sobbed into me, while another one of me went to Hunter, and said "Keep her safe, Wolf."
"I will, Karma." He said, then he hugged me, and said "You're my bro too, Karma. We've gone a long way from being simple fanboys, but just, try your best to come back."
"I will, you know that, Wolf." I said, hugging him back. "Make sure my nephews and nieces now who I am, 'kay?"
"They will, Peter." He patted me on the back, then we parted, and he sajd. "Good luck, and don't forget to give your goodbyes to Tess, if you don't come back, it will kill her."
"I know." I said, then I hugged Tony, and said "You're getting Parker Industries, along with Tess and Sexi when they're old enough, I put it in my will."
"I can't, Peter. I-" he started saying, but I cut him off "You were supposed to get some of it from before, Spark. Keep the future safe, I know you will."
He tried to say something against what I told him, then he gave up, and sighed, and said "Whatever you say, Peter. Good luck."
We parted, and I patted his shoulder, then I turned to Namor. "Namor, I don't know what to tell you, other than I got you some stuff, you'll find it in your throne room."
"Thanks Spider." He said, then he slung a shoulder over me. "Come back, will ya? I need some anti-heroes to chill with."
"You'll find more of us, just you wait, you'll love the others, most of them." I said, smirking. "But for now, you're stuck with T'Challa, he's the closest to us crazies."
"Yeah, but he's not crazy like us." He protested, then said "I think I will just go and chill with that Kraven dude, he seemed kinda nice."
"That works too." I said "But then again, he might've died, but I doubt that. And he will hunt you, just play along."
"I will, Spider, even though I dislike the sentiment of being hunted. Good luck, and till next time, hopefully."
"Hopefully, although it's practically impossible." I said, then I turned to T'Challa, and shook his hand. "It was an honor, Your Highness. We had a good run." I said.
"The honor's all mine, Your Highness." He said, then he knelt on his knee, in front of me. "Should you ever need anything, I am here, sir."
"Tich, we're far from that." I groaned out. "I'm Peter, and you're T'Challa, but if I'm mad at you, or annoyed slightly, it's Tich! No kneeling!"
"You were always my king, Peter." He said, rising. "I just never acknowledged it, until later. I wish I had more time to serve you, it was an honor."
"I'm too great, I think." I said, jokingly, then I patted him on his shoulder, and said "We had a good run." Then I turned to Johnny, and I hugged him, and said "We needed to work on some cars."
He hugged me back, and said "Yeah, bro. I wish I could have met my nephews and nieces, but I guess I can't. If you come back, then thank you for doing that."
"I'm sorry, Johnny, for what it's worth. I should have been an annoying person, so as to make sure none missed me when I left. I'm sorry I'm giving y'all this pain."
"No need to apologize, Pete. There's nothing to apologize for. Just do your job, the world needs to be safe, as you say, whatever it takes. Till next time, bro."
"I got you a couple of cars, when you go back to the Baxter Building, take a look at them, you'll love those bad boys." I parted from him, and turned to Ben. "Close your eyes, Ben." I said.
He closed his eyes, and I did some Magic on him, making it easier for him to switch between forms, and I also switched his form to the normal person. "Open them, Ben."
He opened them, then looked at himself, and said "Woah! Before, it used to be so hard! Now, it feels just about as normal as my rock form! Thanks, Spidey!"
I gave him my fist, and said "Bump it up, Ben. You got this, bro." He bumped my fist, and said "Good luck, Pete. You're destined for winning, do it again."
"I will, Ben." I said "And that is not the only part of my destiny, and you know that." He nodded, and I said "Here's to hoping only one side of my destiny is fulfilled." I gave him my fist again.
He bumped it, and said "Here's to hoping only one side of your destiny is fulfilled." I nodded, then I turned to Sam, and said "Buckethead, I'm sorry I couldn't improve your aim."
"You think you can improve a Nova's aim, Webhead?" He said. "News flash, we're the best at what we do, and you don't have our power."
"No," I said with a smirk "but I am the one who created the first Nova helmet, so I think I can improve your aim."
He sputtered for a second, and the others laughed at him, then he said "Yeah, I'm never going to try to one up you again."
"That's a good idea, Buckethead. Perhaps you're better than your Star Wars buddies." I turned to Danny, and said "Don't doubt yourself, Danny. Your brother cannot have the throne, I know that."
"I do know that, sir." He said respectfully, and when I groaned, he said "the one with standing is to be respected by those below him."
"We're brothers, Danny." I said "I wouldn't call my older brother sir, and neither are you going to call me sir."
"As you wish, Peter." He said, and I nodded, then I turned to Luke. "Sorry I couldn't help you with your parents, Luke. Sexi has all the intel, go with someone, and get your parents."
"I will, if you don't come back, Peter." He said firmly. "But if you do, then I'm waiting for you." he leaned in, then said "Ava may or may not have a thing for you, say something nice to her before you go."
"Thanks for the advice, Luke." I said, then patted his shoulder, and turned to AJ.
I hugged him tightly, and said "Sorry, AJ. I should be there for you, for your sister, for your parents, but I'm leaving. I'm a bad family man."
"You're doing it for your family, bro." He said, hugging me back. "You're doing it for us, and that's why it's ok. Good luck."
I nodded, and went along with my regards to everyone, paying attention to giving everyone a personalized message, I wanted them to remember me, for who I was to them, not for who I was to the world. When I was done, I said "This is it, then. Goodbye, Tess."
She hugged me tightly, and said "Bye, Pete. I will be an awesome aunt, for your kids."
"I know that, Tess. I love you, you're my baby sister. I will try my best to keep my promise, trust me." I kissed her forehead, then faded away.
The last thing I heard her say as I was fading away, was "I've always trusted you Pete. Do your best, and even if it's not enough then it's all right."
I entered one of the portals surrounding me, condensing all my copies into one form, having said all my goodbyes, and I was attacked by billions of them, who I just took care of efficiently.
I was just blasting them away, without a care in the world for them, when several of the Solus' grabbed me, and I was unable to escape, no matter how hard I tried.
"And so, the King never gets to rise to his throne." Solus said, chuckling, when two of his clones/carbon copies started sucking my energy.
I struggled to throw them off, but when that failed, I jumped up, and used some of my Magic, stopping them, somewhat.
I was thrown away, and found myself in one of their cloning machines, and my magic was causing the machine to mess up. "Oh no." I said, realizing what would happen.
"Oh, yes." Solus said "You will be weakened by the machine, and I will have no trouble with dealing with you.
"This is a problem for you, Solus." I said "Not for me. This is good for me, in fact. Just you wait, and you'll know what I mean."
Then I started feeling something literally pulling me from within myself, and I started growling, the pain was very painful. I just couldn't.
After several moments, the pain stopped, and I replenished my energy with my powers, then said "You're down for the count now, Solus."
Then two voices came from beside me "What he said, dumbass!" Then all three of us threw punches at Solus, and he was blasted away.
"Well, you guys finally joined the freakshow crew." I said, then turned to look at them. "How's it going, fellas?"
"Weird." One of them said "I think I'm Kaine. That's just what I feel like I am, but I don't have any ugly skin, so I'm not sure."
I looked at him, he looked like me, but not exactly, almost like a twin would, you could see the differences, if you knew what to look for. My spider sense blared for a second, telling me his identity, and I said "You feel like Kaine to me, but Ehh, who cares? You don't want to be Kaine, you're not Kaine."
"I'm Kaine." He said "What about you? Are you going to be Ben Reilly or not?"
We both looked at the last one, and he thought about it for a second, then he said "I'm Ben Reilly, but I'm not Scarlet Spider, that's for when Peter and Wanda have kids, that'll be my nephews and nieces team name."
"Not a bad idea." I said "But what are you going to be? Like, you no longer have a moniker then, what's your moniker now?"
"I don't know." He said "I will think about it, but there are names to take, and I will get one of them, don't worry about it."
"I guess so." I said, then looked at Kaine, and said "What's your moniker? I can't remember yours, but that's good, cuz then your name is yours."
"I don't care, I will just go by Kaine for now, I don't want to waste headspace on monikers." He said.
I nodded, then said "Ok, y'all. Now we got to head to the Web, and end this, once and for all." I stood up, and so did the other two.
We headed to where we felt the pull coming from, and after a few seconds of sprinting, we stopped sharply, and we all said collectively "Woah."
The Web was white, with golden lighting of sorts, and it had one center, and surrounding the center, there were several other focuses of the Web, which I could tell were the universes from the shows, and movies. I jut sunk it all in, then I drew The Ebony Blade. I heard Karn say from behind me, "It's an honor, my liege. I was forced to devour the Weaver, and now I am the new Weaver."
I turned to look at him, and he was kneeling, and I said "I know, Karn, Master Weaver. Rise, the time is running out."
"Yes, your Highness." He said, then he rose, and I turned to face The Web again. I started using my Web Magic, and then I groaned in pain from the power changing me.
I was channeling some of the power to the Ebony Blade, and I was changing it, evolving it. After several moments, the pain was over, and I felt something else occurring.
I turned to look behind me, and I saw a space glowing, then a throne rose out of nothing, outfitted with decorations, but incredibly simple and basic at the same time, it was an elegant work. I looked at it, and I saw a spot for a blade, which seemed slightly different from what The Ebony Blade looked like, which wasn't at all what I expected, and I didn't understand, till I looked at The Ebony Blade.
It was almost a totally different blade. It had red lines running along the blade, and golden edges, and the handle was not of the one that I was used to, this was something else, and it felt so much better. I sheathed the blade.
"Badass." Ben commented, and I totally agreed.
I looked at the room, it was changing again. Several thrones rose out of the floor, and you just knew which throne was for who. I could tell which one was for Tess, which one was for Cindy, which one was for Talia, for Ben, for Kaine, for Hunter, his was next to Tess, for Gwen, there was one for Peter of Earth-616 as well, and I looked at mine again.
On the right side, was Cindy's, and it was beautiful, and perfectly made for her. On the other side, was a throne, and I knew just who it was for.
It was for Miles, this was his throne, as my successor, and I was already proud of how high he already came, without even trying to.
"We need to go." Ben said, and I ripped my gaze from his throne, that was my focus, and I was going to focus on that throne this last time.
"Yes, we do." I said, then I teleported us back to the center of the city. "Inheritors!" We all screamed together, the three of us, it was badass.
Millions of them surrounded us, and we fought them, not really worrying, but fighting fiercely nonetheless.
I mauled them, not caring about anything, just going through them like they were mere nuisances. There were news helicopters above us, and above them, the Helicarriers were floating in the air, weapons out, ready to attack whoever was the winner of the fight, clearly. I took one of each Inheritor, gathering a carbon copy of each of them, and getting ready for my major spell. I called out "Love y'all!"
"No!" I heard several spider totems cry out, and I shouted out "This was how it was always meant to happen! Goodbye!"
I started enchanting, and the landscape changed, putting us in front of my throne, and a portal was in front of me, letting me see the battlefield. I cast another spell, and The Web started glowing Golden, and golden lightning was covering the battlefield, hitting all the Inheritors, and killing them, while the Inheritors in my hands stayed alive. I cast a few webs, wrapping The Inheritors, and one web connecting each one of them to me, making me the center of a web of sorts. I opened a portal between the pocket dimension where my family was, and my world, letting them return, as I had made sure that world would only be able to be opened my me, and if I didn't open it before my death, then they would never get out.
"We had a good run, y'all!" I called out. "Ben, Kaine, take care of my family! Love y'all! I wish it could have been longer!"
I started the last enchantments, and I growled loudly, shaking the world, I was destroying some of the strongest people in the multiverse, and it was taking a lot out of me.
All of a sudden, The Web spit out a ball, of some sort of energy, and it went towards the city, and I couldn't track it, I had to focus on what I was doing now.
I groaned, and I was feeling the life literally leaving me, as I just continued to grab the webs, and was enchanting fast paced.
I was in the last moments, and they were still not down, I could still feel their energies, they were almost gone, but not there yet, we all had to go down, this was how it was meant to be.
"Legend!" I heard 616 say, and I looked at him. "It was an honor, to fight under your leadership, Legend. You're the greatest of us all."
I nodded, not having enough energy to say anything. I saw portals open all around 616, and Sorcerers poured out of all of them, and they went on a knee, all kneeling, and they tried to give me their energy to help me, but I didn't let them, they would have died immediately, this was taking so much out of me, and I was way stronger than the rest of them. I didn't have energy to even groan, I was on the last bits of my life.
Then I felt something coming from my blade, and I looked at it, it was glowing. I immediately made a hand and took it, hoping that its revival powers weren't taken away by its new upgrade.
It didn't do anything, unfortunately. I cried out, and I let tears flow down my cheeks, purposely making it so, I wanted my family to know I would miss them.
"It'll be alright, Peter." I heard Wanda say, and I looked up, to see her floating towards me. I nodded, tears still flowing, and I whispered out "I will miss you all, I'm sorry."
"It's going to be ok, Peter." She said, but she had tears flowing down her face as well. I blinked, and just nodded my head. "Tell Sexi and Tarts I love them." I choked out.
She nodded, and said "They know, Peter. I will tell them anyways. They love you too, from the bottoms of their hearts."
I nodded, and gathered what I could of energy, hoping to be able to stay alive, but I couldn't call anymore energy. "I can't take anymore, Wands." I said mentally. "I've tried my best, tell Tess I tried my hardest, and it wasn't enough. Tell her I'm sorry. Love you, Wands."
She nodded, tears running down her cheeks, and said "I know, Pete. Love you too."
I nodded, and struggled to hold the webs, as I felt the energies of The Inheritors nearly fade out, all at the same level as mine.
"You're the Legend, Pete." Wanda said "You'll always be The Legend to the world, but to us, you'll be more than just a story, don't worry, Pete."
I couldn't even find the energy to nod, and I felt the energy slowly leave me, when all of a sudden, I felt someone grab me.
I felt the strain go out of me slightly, and when I looked at the one who gave me a chance to live again, I was surprised.
It was Miles, the one from my universe.
He groaned, as both of us held the webs, and said "Neither of us are dying today, I promise! Just a little more, a couple moments more! I'm The Heir, and I say so!" What happened? Since when did he have this power?
I groaned, and felt myself dying. "Sorry Miles." I said mentally. "This is how you always receive the mantle, at my death. I wish we could have spent more time together."
"No!" He said, then he looked at me in the eye, and our spider senses blared, and our eyes both widened. He was my brother, my baby brother, from my universe! "%#?" I asked.
"I can't let you die, &@%#@!" He said "You're my big brother! I'm not letting you go! So what if this is how it was meant to be! I defy destiny!"
I tried to hold on for him, and for Tess, but I was unable to, and I fell, The Inheritors dying at the same time. "@%$%@!" He called out.
"You are going to have a crazy awesome life, %#%#@, just you wait." I choked out. "I never forgot you, even though it was a crazy couple of years."
"No!" He cried out. "That one day, about ten years ago, you changed! I never knew why! Now I know, and I have you again, for real! I can't lose you again!"
I took one last shuddering breath, seeing everyone else surround me, and then, Miles took The Ebony Blade, and pushed it into my hands. "It has to save you!" He cried out.
I shook my head, and said "This is how it was always destined for us, Miles, &$%@$. I know you're not Miles, but Miles and Peter, it always goes this way."
I felt the life flow out of me, then to my surprise, it all came back again. I looked at The Ebony Blade, and it was glowing golden. "It's working!" I said in surprise.
I felt all my energy come back, and I stood up, and raised the Blade above my head, and said "I'm alive!"
No one responded, and I looked around, to see, to my surprise, everyone was on a knee, in front of me. I looked at The Ebony Blade, and back at the people around me, and this reminded me vaguely of something else.
It reminded me of when Sabine raised the Darksaber above her in Rebels, and then they all knelt in front of her.
I shook my head, and then I said "Rise, all of you."
My family did, and then Tess hugged me, and said "You can't always win alone, Pete. Guess you learnt that."
The Helicarriers started shooting at us, but I made a force field, stopping the blasts, as everyone was still kneeling, and I hugged her back, and said "You and Miles will be homies, totally."
Miles hugged me, and said "It's been a long couple of years, Pete. I will have to get used to calling you that."
"You know him from your other universe?" Tess asked, and I nodded, and said "I more than knew him. He was my seven year old brother. And it's only been a couple of weeks, and he's fourteen."
"It's been seven years for me, Pete!" He said "And that is why time travel and multiverse travel is supposed to be annoying."
I parted from both of them, then I exited the portal, reentering my universe, while reactivating my mask, and dug my blade into the ground, and said "Rise!"
They all rose, and then 616 said "It was instinct at first, you're our King, but then we stayed, out of respect, you've earned it."
I nodded, and then I looked up, and saw Captain America jump out of the Helicarrier, and I made a hole in the force field, and he fell through it, landing several feet in front of me.
"Captain." I said coldly. "Tell your boss that he's going down, for good, I'm too powerful, and he's merely a pawn, in the long run."
He rushed at me, but before he could get within six feet of me, Sharon stopped him, using her shield to hold him back. "Stand down, Rogers." She said.
He tried to push through her, but he failed, and gave up, and tried to jump over her, but that failed as well, Wanda grabbed him with her magic.
"What's the need to attack me?" I asked, walking up to his face. "Why do you feel the need to attack me, you? I know why your boss has beef, but why you?"
"Because you're a danger to society." He said "You have control over an army, that no other army could ever match up to. You need to be either put down, or under another person."
"Ahh, now that second part, I want to focus on." I used my powers to destroy all the offense on the Helicarriers, and then I removed the force field. "So it's ok, when I'm merely a pawn, a very powerful one, but it's not ok, when I turn into the queen, is that how it is? I cannot have the power I have been entrusted with in my hands, it has to be in another's, and then it's fine. Go back to Nickster, and tell him he's the pawn now."
I made a portal under him, and Wanda let him go through the portal, and he fell into the Helicarrier, right in front of Fury.
I closed the portal, then said "It's been a long day, y'all. Let's go home."
I teleported us all home, and then I fell onto the couch, and said "Questions?"
Everyone's hands shot up.
This was going to take a while.
Chapter 31: The Easing Of Times
After the war with The Inheritors was over, we all headed to my pocket dimension, then after a while, everyone returned to their universes, and we all headed to my home. "So, I'm still alive!" I said, flopping onto the couch. "Everyone, give a round of applause for Miles, he saved my ass today!"
Everyone clapped for him, then it died down, and he said "I did. Now, if I remember correctly, you had a problem with acknowledging your achievements, so I think you need a round of applause as well."
"Ehh," I said, shrugging. "not really, not anymore. I lived for a couple millennia, so that kinda grew off, but I don't really need applause, this room's occupants being ok is my form of applause."
"Yeah, he didn't grow it off." Wanda said from my lap, then she kissed my cheek. "But then again, he's right, this is his form of applause. I've been in his mind, so I can confirm that for you."
"I knew being a part of the Panda ship fandom would pay out!" Miles said, then when everyone looked at him, he said "You wouldn't get it, just ignore it."
"That's what they call it now, Miles?" I asked. "Back in my days, it was just a ship. It didn't have a name, but some people did call it Panda, as a joke, it wasn't official."
"'Back in my day,' he says." Miles said, scoffing. "You're such an oldie now, what went wrong, huh? You didn't go through the seven years I did."
"No," I said, smirking "I went through millennia, going back to the beginning of times, and living since then, that's what went right. I even got a kid from then! Meet your nephew!"
"I got a nephew?" Miles asked. Tarts raised his hand, then said "I'm Tartarus, and my half-sister, here, is Sexi. We have had disputes over who is older, just ignore them."
"I got a niece, and a nephew!" Miles exclaimed. "What happened while I didn't see you!? Like, I knew I had a niece, but a nephew? Since when!?"
"Wait!" I said "Are you like Cindy, a combo of two people, or are you like me, and purely my brother from my old universe?"
"Cindy's a combo too!?" He asked, then looked at Cindy, and his eyes widened, then he jumped at her, and hugged her. "I missed you." He said
"I missed you too, big guy." She said. "You and Pete were the major thoughts in my mind when I came here. How was seven years without your big brother to kick ass?"
"It sucked, big time." He said "I never understood why Peter lost all his natural aggression, and it peeved me to no ends, even though I was only a kid. He never beat the shit out of anyone just because they intimidated me, and the other dudes took advantage of that, and set their eyes on me, aiming to get back at my brother for the times he beat them up, and he didn't do anything, just threatened them once or twice."
"It must've sucked like hell, big guy." She started combing his hair softly. "What do you say to a new life, big guy?"
"It'd be awesome." He said. "And Pete always called me big guy, and so did you. Pete stopped, but you never did."
"That's because they're a combo in both sides of the multiverse, big guy." I said "In our universe, as well as this, neither of them are truly simply Cindy, or &$%#%@."
"Ooh, I just found the perfect way to fake cuss!" He said "I'm about to beat the %$&@ out of you, %#&@%@&$@!"
"Is it just me, or did you use my full name to say motherfuckers?" I asked, then shook my head amusedly "You've gone a long way from the seven year old who said shit in front of his mom."
"What!?" Everyone screamed, then Sexi said "I guess its ok, I'm barely more than a month old, and I'm cussing like it's normal."
"I will ignore that," I said "and instead focus on whether the Panda ship is called that normally, or not?"
"It is!" He exclaimed. "It even got so famous, that they put it in the MCU! MJ dies, because there's no Gwen in that universe to unjustly kill off, so they justly killed her off instead, and yeah!"
"I'm sorry, did you just say they didn't have me in the universe for them to unjustly kill off?" Gwen asked "Care to explain?"
"I will take this one, Miles." I said "So, in our universe, we used to think of this multiverse as merely fiction. And we had shows, movies, and comics, and books, about this multiverse. And it was a custom, almost, in this multiverse, as well as the fiction, that you died, because Goblin killed you. But in the MCU, our name for Earth-199999, there was no Gwen Stacy, and hence, I guess they changed which lover of Peter Parker was to die."
"Ok, so you're telling me," Tess said "that this is another one of your accomplishments, that you defied something that was practically destiny, and you and Gwen are currently together, but she's not dead? And what exactly does MCU mean? Why is it called MCU rather than anything else?"
"I haven't yet defeated destiny in this case, not yet." I responded. "We have yet to see, if Karma and Legend is strong enough, to defy destiny, and come out on top. And she dies in about ninety eight percent of the universes, and her killer is usually Green Goblin, the father of Harry Osborn, Norman Osborn."
"There are two questions yet to be answered, Pete." Gwen said softly. "What is MCU, and why is it called that?"
"Well, it was called MCU, and it stood for Marvel Cinematic Universe." I said. "Marvel was because of the company that owned the franchise, Marvel Incorporated."
"Ok, quite interesting, frankly." Aunt Nari said "But what I'm more interested in, is to know when I'm expecting grandkids?"
I rolled my eyes good naturedly, and said "You'll know when you do, Aunt Nari. Now, all of you humans need to do something called sleep, it's late, and we got school tomorrow, I think."
"Wait, before I call my parents and Ganke to tell them to come over to our crazy sleepover, can I ask a question?" Miles asked.
"You just did, big guy." I said, and he glared at me, and I just laughed, then said "Shoot, Miles. What's it you wanted to ask?"
"So, what exactly is Stan Lee here?" He asked a million dollar question. "Like, in the MCU, he was a Watcher, but in USM, he was a janitor."
"Million dollar question, big guy." I said. "Over here, he's the janitor at the school, but that's just a cover, for The One Above All."
"He's the One Above All!?" Miles said excitedly. "This is so crazy! The amount of possibilities, the amount of stories that could come out of this!"
"Big guy, we're no longer in a world where we can talk with fellow hard-core fans, about crazy fan fictions. We are the fiction, from a perspective." I said, amusedly.
"USM?" Liz asked. "What is that, what does it stand for, and why are you guys talking so much about your universe?"
"USM, Lizzy," I said "stands for Ultimate Spider-Man. And the correct way to ask the question, is what does it Stan for? And it was a show. And well, I missed a fellow hard-core fan."
"Yeah!" Miles agreed. "I used to spend hours on the forums, and I remember Pete here used to the same! And hate on our universe all you want, it may have been droll, and boring, and meh, and everything, but it was our birthplace, to an extent. So while I know Peter will never leave this place, he has a family for real here, he still misses his universe, to an extent. For example, how many times did he mention me?"
"He never did." Tess said.
To my surprise, Miles didn't even show a bit of surprise, or hurt, at that. "That proves my point! He missed me to the point, that he couldn't talk about me! While with our baby sister, he had his own baby sister, in the form of Teresa, so it was easier, hence, I think you know about her!"
"That makes sense, so much, it kinda hurts that we didn't realize it before." Tess said "We honestly just didn't pry, and I don't think Peter wants us to, he'll tell us in his own time."
"Thank you, both of you." I said, on the verge of tears. "I didn't do anything to deserve this, but I got it anyway. Thank you."
"And there comes that one thing that I hoped you actually grew out of!" Miles said. "Your self-deprecating factor! You deserve it, %#%@$!"
"Stop that, %#&@$!" I countered. "My name is not for you to just use as a double edged sword, %#%#%&!"
"Stop using your names as cuss words, you &$&@&$s!" Cindy said, jumping on the bandwagon. We both looked at her for a moment, then I said "Yes, we're &$%@#%%$s, we knew that! It's our last name!"
"Ok, enough." Liz said, laughing. "This is a very convenient way to bleep your sentences, but we can't use it."
"Speak for yourself, &$%!" Wanda said, and I looked at her in confusion, and she said "When I read your mind, I used my Hex Magic, and it unlocked that little bit, but it took a lot out of me."
"That's useful to know, possibly I can use that later. Thank you!" I said "I can use it, if I ever feel the need to attempt to break the spells."
"It's not a problem, &$%#." She said, smirking.
"Hey, Pete!" Miles said. I looked at him, and he said "You never did play my video game, did you? But you knew exactly how the gameplay went, you cheap loser. I got the game, and I played it time and time again, you sucker!"
"I didn't know the full gameplay," I defended weakly. "just eighty percent, it was a good game. But I know most of what I didn't know now, I have knowledge."
"Yeah, I got that too! I saw every single possibility in the video game, but with them feelings!" Miles' voice turned sad. "Now, if only I could find a way to defy destiny, and save Phin."
"Hey, we're in the same boat here, big guy." I said, stretching a hand out, and patting him on his shoulder. "If we fail, we're there for each other, and same if we succeed."
He shook his head softly, and tears started flowing his cheeks slowly, and he said "I saw it happen so many times."
"Big guy." Cindy said "The only one who relates to your pain is Peter. While I did see the other Cindys, they didn't have the pain you did. But we're still here for you."
"I saw almost every single person in this room die at least a thousand times, Miles." I said softly. "You know Uncle Ben's significance, and there's trillions of universes."
"You know Uncle Aaron's significance too, Pete." He said "How do you look at your Uncle Ben, your Gwen, and not see them bleeding, or necks snapped?"
"I don't." I said truthfully, much to everyone's surprise. "I see Uncle Ben, and see a scarlet patch of blood on his chest. I see Gwen, and see her hanging there, head bobbing. I see Liz, and see a dead body in my arms, violated beyond comparison. I see Ned, and see him painfully dying, his limbs ripped off by Ock. I see Betty, and see a sliced off head, laying on the ground. I see Tony, and see him being mauled to the ground by either Captain America or Captain Marvel. I see Pepper, and see her being destroyed by the Extremis. I see Hunter, and see him in Shuri's arms, a mere body, beaten up by Tigershark. I see so many things, Miles. Only I can relate to the pain you're going through. It hurts, and I just accept it."
"And yet, you're still human." He said. I shook my head, and said "I'm not a human, Miles. The correct term, is that I'm a singularity."
"I will call my family." He said softly, then got up, and turned around, looking at his phone, and making a call.
I put my head in my hands, and wiped my tears away softly. "One day, I will extract revenge." I said to myself. "I wasn't going to, but for you, Miles, I will."
"So it only becomes rightful when it's for someone else, is that it?" Ava asked, looking at me with a frown. "Like, I've never seen you hurt someone else because of something that happened to you, you killed Doom, because he hurt Sue, from what I was told."
"That's not it, Cubette." I said. "I will not attack, to the point of killing, unless it's personal. But if it is someone who doesn't pose a risk to the world, and I have a personal grudge, I won't kill them, just teach them a lesson, that they will never be able to unlearn, even if they tried their best, like what I did to Xavier."
"How big of a lesson did you teach him?" Logan asked. "What did you show him, mentally? I know you did, I saw the surprise and fear cross his face, at the perfect times. You were showing him things, so that the fear would cross his face as you were threatening him mentally."
"I was." I confirmed. "You don't want to know what he saw."
"Good job, Pete." Aunt May said "I may not have gotten to know him well, but the fact that his immediate thought was to try to read our minds wasn't right."
I shook my head. "It may not have been, but he has the potential to become a good man, and so does Magneto, and yet, I will do this to them. I'm a monster."
"You're doing whatever it takes." Wanda said firmly. "It's going to be all right, as long as you do whatever it takes. You know that, and you don't regret doing it, you regret that you're ok with doing it."
"You're The King, Pete." Cindy said "You're protecting your subjects, and it's good that you are."
"I know." I said. "But I also feel, that this, this regret, is the last bits of humanity, of mortality, that I have. I will outlive nearly everyone here, if everything goes normally."
"It's not, bro." Ned said. "It's the last bits of your regrets, and the last bits of your weaknesses. You no longer need this regret, don't keep it."
I shook my head. "This is something, that I must keep as a king. That I am hurting my subjects, I should find ways to avoid that."
"The gentle hand, that clenches into a fist when needed, is the best hand." Danny said. Everyone looked at him in confusion, but I nodded.
"I know." I said. "Hence, why I'm not going to stop, not now, not ever. I took care of both N'Jadakas, and Doom, and I won't hesitate to do more."
"Wait!" Miles said. "You killed both N'Jadakas!? So you're telling me, you're like some sort of respected dude in Wakanda now, right?"
"He's more than some sort of respected dude in Wakanda now, he's one of the only that can call The King out, and not receive any form of anger from him." Okoye said.
"Three comments." Miles said "1) T'Chaka is still alive, interesting. 2) Did you guys already have the badass thing with The Crown? 3) How did Pete get Okoye as some sort of lover?"
"In response to your first two comments," I said "Yes, he is still alive, interestingly. T'Challa more than deserves the throne in my eyes, but T'Chaka is alive here, and that's good. And yes, the whole of season five happened! It was badass! And Hunter killed Tigershark! And I killed both Killmongers! But the Crown is still in the temple, I will retrieve it, and destroy it, the world doesn't need to see the possible carnage."
"How much did you change things, that The Crown wasn't unleashed?" Miles asked. "The Crown was supposed to be unleashed over New York, by Zemo!"
"Things were real different here, Miles." I said "Doom was part of The Shadow Council, and so was N'Jadaka son of N'Jobu. I was able to stop it, it was badass."
"This is so not cool!" Miles exclaimed. "They didn't even release a video game for that whole thing! I always wanted to do that! I wanted to kick Killmonger in the ass! I wanted to be able to make sure no one died! Why didn't you wait for me, this is so not cool! That season was so badass, and you saved Hunter too! I wanted to do that! Ugh, and they didn't even make a video game for that whole thing."
"Is that how you think, or thought, when you were fighting The Shadow Council, or The Inheritors?" Tess asked, smirking.
"Well, I only think like that when no dangerous people are involved, but I'm a little more serious. So I was fanboying on the inside, while I was fighting The Shadow Council, but the moment that Doom joined The Shadow Council, I got for real, and killed the dude."
"You killed Doom?" Miles asked "And, come to think of it, where's Reeds?"
My mood soured, and I said "Reeds became The Maker in this universe, because I killed Doom in front of him, and they were best friends, it's confusing."
Miles immediately rushed to me, and shook my shoulders, saying "Did you take care of him? Did you kill him!? He's going to kill Dylan Brock, you can't let that happen!"
"I took care of him, but I couldn't bring myself to kill him, he was my friend in other universes. But you say he killed Dylan? I saw that coming, but it won't happen, trust me."
"I'm not forcing you to kill him right now." Miles said, calming down. "But you will have to kill him. Dylan was killed, and there was a war of symbiotes, between two kings of symbiotes."
"I saw all that coming beforehand." I said "I really liked Dylan, he was chill, a nice kid. I will take care of him, trust me."
"I always did." He said, then the doorbell rang. "That'll be my family." Miles said, and headed towards the door.
"Something is wrong!" I exclaimed. "Don't answer the door, everyone hide! It's Fury! I think he wants Peter Parker's help, or something!"
Everyone hid, and I opened the door, showing fake surprise at Fury being at my door, and said "Well, if it isn't my would be killer. What do you want, Director?"
"Show some respect, kid." He said. "I am one of the major buyers of Parker Industries technology, and your parents were my friends."
"Really?" I challenged, but opened the door, letting him enter, but I made it so that he would enter a pocket dimension, looking exactly like my home. "What's stopping me from killing you?" I said.
"The fact that you want to know more about your parents." He said, sitting on a chair. "And you want to know what I want from you."
"I know enough about my parents, Nicholas." I said. "I know they were your agents, and that they died at your hands. I'm in a deal with Spider-Man, you fell into a trap."
"Oh really?" He asked nonchalantly, but I could hear his mind screaming about how he didn't see this coming. "What do you think you can do? Kill me? I think you can't do anything."
"Ahh, you're right about that." I said, while sending a message to Wanda, and giving her entrance to the pocket dimension. "But you see, it's still a trap, and a trap has guards."
Wanda entered the room, magic snaking her fingers, and said "You were right, it seems. He did come to you, I will take him to Spider-Man."
He glared at me for a second, then pulled out a device, and clicked a button. "I have super humans as well, Parker." He said.
"Buddy," I said "Carol Danvers is not even a match for Wanda, forget about Spider-Man. I know who you're bringing in."
"How does Spider-Man know all this information?" He asked. "And why does he deserve your trust? You could join the right side."
"You're the right side?" I asked. "Since when? Since you decided I was better as a pawn, than as a body? I'd rather be a body, thank you very much."
I was circling his chair slowly, and Wanda was on the side, her magic still snaking her fingers. "You're not going to be a pawn, Parker." He said "You have great potential, hence why I aimed my guns at you. But I realize I can use you as an ally instead."
"So you can kill me like my parents, eh?" I said, stopping in front of him.
"I have no idea what lies Karma fed you with, Peter, but whatever you were made to think happened to your parents, is false." He said.
"He used my first name!" I said to Wanda. "Sign that he's lying, I think. Actually, change that to I know. What do you think we should do with him?"
"You're saying that as if I am inconsequential, nothing to you." Fury said. "You realize the truth is right here, and you can get it from me?"
"You are inconsequential, Fury." I said. "You hold no value to my leader, to the one I owe. Hence, you are nothing to me."
"Carol will be here anytime now, Peter." Fury said, standing up. "It's your choice, whether you want to join the right side in time, or not."
I turned to Wanda, and said "I think I'm fine being Peter Parker, the youngest billionaire alive. I don't think being the richest pawn is something I want to be. What do you think, Scarlet?"
"I think that works perfectly, Mr. Parker." She said. She was selling this goon look perfectly. "Our leader will appreciate your steadfastness."
"Carol Danvers will be here within a second or two, Peter." Fury said. "This is your last chance, you want to take it?"
"Desperate, aren't we?" I said. "Now, I would've thought about taking your deal, if there was a danger. Your signal didn't even go out, Fury."
Wanda grabbed him with her magic, and said "The leader will appreciate your steadfastness, Mr. Parker. Till next time."
"It was an honor." I said, then teleported Wanda and Fury out of there, not that Fury knew it was me.
A moment later, I teleported myself and Maria Hill to where Fury and Wanda were, and I had my suit on, as I said "Well, looks like Peter's plan worked out."
"Yes it did, sir." Wanda said, sending a wink my way. "As you anticipated, the signal blocker was useful, but not required."
I nodded, then said "Well, looks like we need to imprison you."
"The government doesn't support you, Karma." Fury said "You can't lock me up, when you don't even have the jurisdiction to. The government hates you, especially the Army. How do you think you can lock me up?"
The news helicopters were flying around us, I had sent a message to them. "I don't need the jurisdiction to lock you up, Fury." I said. "I have friends who are willing to use their jurisdiction."
Namor appeared, and said "So this is the pest, huh? I was expecting a little more muscle on such a self declared ruler of the world."
"Knowledge is power, Aquaman." I said. "Now, what do you say to locking him up? In your place? He can't run away, the water's all around."
"I haven't rooted out all the infiltrators yet, so no." He said "But Wakanda is willing to reveal themselves, and lock him up, according to T'Chaka, and T'Challa."
"What can Wakanda do?" Fury challenged.
"Nickelodeon, they are one of the strongest countries in the world. They have an almost endless supply of vibranium, and their tech is ahead of the rest of the world." I said, simply. "I think he'll have a blast in a vibranium cell, what do you think, Director Hill?"
"Are you sure, Karma?" Maria asked. "I'm not sure that I can manage SHIELD, I don't deserve the power."
"You do, Maria." I said. "You've earned it. The world still needs SHIELD, but not under a director who decides to kill kids. I trust you, Mountain."
"Ok, then." Maria said. "I guess I'm the new Director of SHIELD, but make sure you visit me every now and then, or I'm quitting."
"I will." I said "You and my daughter get along well, and I'm pretty sure she would love to visit you. That cool?"
She saw that I was swaying public opinion her way, by mentioning my daughter. She nodded, and said "Tell her I will miss living with all of y'all."
T'Challa appeared, and he was taking Fury on his shoulders, then he boarded The Masque's Home, he was going to put him in there. "You can still live at my place!" I said.
"We need a badass name, before continuing this whole thing of having the strongest people in the world living in your house, Spider." Namor said.
"I got it already!" I said. "I was just waiting for one of y'all to mention that. I didn't want to say it till then! We will be... The Justice League!"
Namor just blinked, then said "Good name, but I feel like there's something about the name that I don't know."
"That's because there is, Aquaman!" I said, sending a wink his way. "Wait till later, then you'll be rolling on the floor, laughing."
"Fine." He said, grumbling. "But honestly, that is a good name. Cuz our vibe is about destroying injustice, and you're Karma, so yeah."
"I knew you'd understand, Aquaman." I said, chuckling. "But for real, Maria. You want, I can set it up so you're still at my place."
"That'd be great." Maria said. "But I'd still have to go to the Triskellion or the Helicarrier every day, but I guess that's fine."
"It totally is." I said, then asked "Are we done here, or is there something else that I need to take care of?"
"Well, now that you mention it." Maria said "There's the whole thing about walking into the Helicarrier, and taking care of any paperwork to get everything right."
"Oh, that's already taken care of." I said, waving a hand in dismissal. "My systems have already integrated themselves into SHIELD, so it'll be done before you know it."
"I don't know whether I should say I hate you, or love you." Maria said. "Like, how do you just get things so well done, that no one can even feel the need to be jealous of you?"
"I would never reveal my secrets." I said, winking. Then I realized something, so I said. "Well, aside from the ones I want to, to whomever I want to, like my identity."
"You're not about to say, my name is Karma, and I'm Spider-Man, or something, right?" Wanda said, looking at me worriedly. "The world isn't ready for you, Legend."
"Music time!" I said, and then Legend by Tiger Drive started playing. "They keep on calling me a legend!" I said, singing along.
"Let's go home." Wanda said, nudging me, while trying hard not to laugh. "You're going to go crazy, Spider."
"And here I thought I could sing for a little longer." I said, then waved at the helicopters. "See y'all later! Love y'all!" I blew a kiss at the cameras, then I teleported us home.
We landed in the living room, to see that everyone was trying to calm Miles down, but he just wasn't having it, and was laughing like crazy. "He good?" I asked.
"He's putting things in, every now and then, about how he wants to be Bruce, or something." Tess said confusedly. "I think he went batshit crazy."
At that, Miles started laughing even more, and said "I'm not about to wear underwear outside, thank you very much!"
I started laughing too, and I said "Hey! Not my fault they named me The Dark Knight! And Avengers sounds cringy!"
"Yeah, but you think you're Batman, or something." Miles said, wiping his tears away, finally calming down, somewhat. "Vengeance? Night? Justice League?"
"I'm not surprised, but it's funny." Cindy said. "Peter always used to say that DC had the better names, and personas, while Marvel had the better fights, and stories."
"That's true." Miles said. "And you're calling Namor Aquaman, that just makes it better. Tony is Cyborg, and Thor is Wonder Woman."
"Kid, I'm not a cyborg!" Tony said. "But what are y'all on? What're you guys talking about? I'm clueless here!"
"So back in our universe, Spark," I said "there was another comic franchise, called DC Comics, DC stood for Detective Comics, laugh all you want at that. And it had this character, named Batman. He was the leader of The Justice League, and he was annoying. But he had a whole lot of badass names, like Vengeance, Night, and The Dark Knight. I didn't want to be a part of a super team that called themselves the Avengers, like what're we avenging?"
"You're not a cyborg?" Miles asked. "What's that supposed to mean? How does that even make sense? You're Iron Man. You're a cyborg!"
"Not in this universe, thankfully." I said. "He never had the crucible, but thankfully, he had his own crucible, making him a good man."
"Do you know that for sure?" Miles asked. "With all due respect to you, Tony, but the only world where you didn't go through the crucible, was Earth-65."
"And I know how that went, big guy." I said. "Tony Stark, aiming at world domination. I know, and his futuristic view made it all the worse. I know, Miles."
"Are you trying to warn me?" Tony asked. "Like why are you ok with me knowing my potential? That could make it all the worse, right?"
"I'm trusting the fact that you had a different crucible, Spark." I said "But this wasn't a warning, it was a piece of information."
"I also think he needs your futuristic views." Miles said. "I remember, you were the one who saved all mutantkind and Inhumans, without them knowing that's what you were doing. They were calling doom upon themselves, and you fought them, in Civil War II. They would have risked their own kind, but they didn't know that, they weren't looking at the horizon. But you did, and you died for them."
"He's right, Spark." I said. "While I don't want you dying, I want you around, so you can stop others, including me, when we go too far."
Tony looked like he was still processing, and Pepper asked "Why were you guys talking about him being a cyborg? I'm not surprised by any of what you're saying, but I just want to know how."
I put a hand up to stop Miles from saying anything, and I said "What didn't happen, doesn't need to be revealed."
"But I'm still so messed up!" Tony protested. "Like, I can't even bring myself to stop my weapons industry, even though I know it's wrong!"
I took a deep breath. "Tony." I said. "You know, when I brought my army together, not a single one of them were family men or women, even though the family people are way stronger, for the most part. Because I saw that if the parents died, how detrimental would it be for the kids? I could've just said fuck it, and brought them along anyways. But right now, that's what you're doing. I'm not going to tell you what's wrong, you know what's wrong."
"But it's my lifeline." Tony said weakly. "It's going to ruin the stocks, and the company will go down! And Obadiah will be so peeved, he might as well just continue with the weaponry!"
"Who are you trying to convince, me or you?" I asked. When I got no response, I said "And besides, Stane isn't a good guy. He's selling Stark weaponry, to the world. To terrorist groups, to The Ten Rings, to Sokovian terrorists, to everyone!"
"I will be honest, Stark." Wanda said. "I had a personal grudge against you. My adoptive parents died, because of a Stark Industries missile. But Peter showed me the truth beforehand, so I didn't make a move against you. But let me tell you, my parents died because of a Stark Industries missile, and other parents are dying from them."
"Tomorrow." Tony said. "I'll do it, I will stop the weapon industry from my side. I'm not about to be responsible for anymore unjust deaths, I've been putting this off for so long."
"Make sure you say something about The Justice League!" I said, winking. Then I sobered, and said "This is your decision, not ours."
"I had already decided to do this from before." He said. "Richard would be happy if I did, and I was just putting this off, I didn't have the bravery to do it. Thank you all, for giving me it."
"You got this, bro." Bobbi said. "You always had them wings, you just had to spread them, your time here helped you with that."
"She just messed up my quote!" I said, and when Miles looked at me in confusion, I said "Oh, you'll love this. Sexi, show Miles the birth of Mockingbird."
"I'm still not over that." Bobbi said. "That wasn't cool at all. Either of you, I'm looking at you, Director."
"Guys, behave." I said. "In approximately three seconds, Miles' family will ring the doorbell, act a little less like kids."
I got up, and went to the door, and opened it, right as they rang the bell. "Hello, everyone!" I said. "It's an honor, Mr. Davis, and Ms. Morales. Hey Ganke, did you have a blast hacking the eyepatch?"
They entered, as Ganke said "It was awesome! There were so many close calls, I've never hacked more intensely before! Thanks!"
"Not a problem, Ganke." I said, and gave him my fist, for him to bump. He looked at it for a moment, then he fainted.
I caught him before he could fall, and said "Miles, your homie fainted, this is awesome! I got fanboys!"
He came to the door, and hugged his parents, then said "Your business is yours, as long as you don't break my desk."
"That was one time!" I protested. Miles just looked at me, and I said "In each universe. Watch, I won't do that, I'm better than them. And even if I do, you wouldn't know, I could fix it in a second."
"The real test, to see if you're better than the rest." Miles said. "will he break my desk, or not? Watch the next episode of Spider-Fam to know."
I led them all to the living room, closing the door, and said "Just you wait. You'll know why I'm the greatest of us all, why I'm the King."
"That blade will come to my hands, when you die, right?" Miles said softly. "What's its name? This sucks." I looked at his parents, they were talking to Aunt Nari, Aunt May, Uncle Ben, and Uncle Al, they weren't focused on us.
"Yes it will come into your hands, Miles." I said, then I made a portal to Earth-001, so he could see his throne, and the others. "You won't be the only one sitting in that room, big guy."
"It doesn't change anything." He said "I will have to sit in the center, with a sword in my hands, and responsibility."
"You will." I confirmed. "This is why you're here, why I'm here. So that we could take the mantle. Remember Shang-Chi? I never got to watch the movie, it came out after I left."
"I'm not running away from the truth." He said "It's just, a lot to take in. Thanks for staying alive, it would have sucked if you died."
"You're the one who saved me, Kid." I said "You pushed the blade into my hands. You go to Visions here?"
"Yeah." He said. "Why don't we have our dinner, then head to sleep, we've all got school tomorrow."
"Do I have to go to school?" I said "I mean, I know practically everything. I lived from the beginning of times."
"Hermano, just do it." Luke said. "I'd love to go to school, and just chill there, not learning anything, really."
"You know what?" I said excitedly. "Why don't we do that? I can have Miles coincidentally join Midtown High, if his parents are cool with it! And all of y'all, can join! Anyone under twenty years old! Who's down?"
"Make me the principal of the school." Bobbi said, smirking.
"Totally!" I said "And we can have Okes as a teacher as well, and Sue for science, and White for engineering!"
"This is going to be fun!" Sexi said "And there's also this new student, that's joining the school tomorrow, that actually registered!"
I looked at Sexi for a second, wondering why that was so important, then I asked "What's so special about that? What's his or her name?
"Her name." Sexi said, smirking. "Her name, is Felicia Hardy. Rings a bell, anyone?"
I groaned, and Ben said "Mad Love Album Cover!" I glared at him, then said "And here I thought my life was complicated, wait till she enters it, with all her gusto, and tries to steal from my house, or something."
"You know her?" Aunt May asked. "Why would she steal from you, what is so special about her?" Then she looked at Tess, and she realized, and said "Oh. But why a robber?"
"She's not exactly a robber." I said, sheepishly. "Like yeah, she steals for fun, and her dad before her did the same, but she's more of a Robin Hood."
"So I just searched up Mad Love Album Cover." Johnny said, displaying his phone screen. "What does this have to do with that?"
"Ben, I'm finna disown you." I said "I think it was a reference to the fact that she has white hair, ask Ben." I turned to Ben. "Ben, don't answer any of their questions."
Tess looked at her Parkerwatch, then after a moment, she looked up, and said, "I think it references the whole look of the cover girl."
"Ugh, let's just go for dinner." I said. I got up, then went to the table, and used my powers to make food, and said "Food's ready, folks!"
They all came to the dining table, and everyone stopped sharply, and Johnny asked "Where did such awesome food come from?"
"I have a whole lot of powers, Matchstick." I said "One of them, is this, to make things full speed. Tell me what you think of the food."
Everyone sat down, and then Aunt May said "I know you probably don't need to eat, Death, Tartarus, and Peter, but eat anyways."
"Of course." We said, then took some food, and started eating.
"Looks like this'll be the start of the easing of times." I said, then made several glasses filled with different beverages in front of everyone, and lifted mine to the center, and said "To the easing of times."
We all clinked our glasses, and continued eating, talking with each other in the middle.
