RIAS'S OFFICE – GREMORY MANSION
"Lie down on the couch, Selene." Gasper slowly walked toward her while holding the Bishop Evil Piece between his fingers. "We're starting."
"...Okay."
Selene answered quietly before slowly lying down on the office couch. Nervousness was still written all over her face, even though she was trying to hide it.
Rias watched the scene in silence while resting her chin on her hand.
'Gasper-kun's peerage is really becoming ridiculous...'
The thought came naturally as she looked at Selene.
'First that bastard Riser's sister... now a demigoddess.'
Her gaze slowly shifted toward Gasper.
'He's really incredible.'
Gasper stopped beside the couch a moment later.
"I'm going to place the Evil Piece on your chest."
"Okay..."
Selene slowly closed her eyes as she answered.
'There's no turning back now...'
The tension began to build in her body as she felt demonic energy gathering around the Bishop Piece.
Gasper then slowly brought the Evil Piece toward her chest.
SHHHH.
Demonic energy immediately began entering Selene's body.
But something went wrong.
The flow of energy stalled halfway through the process, and the Evil Piece began vibrating unstably before losing power.
Gasper slightly narrowed his eyes.
"Hm?"
Rias noticed the problem almost immediately.
"She has too much magic, Gasper-kun." Rias stood up from her chair while observing Selene. "You'd need two Bishop Pieces."
Gasper remained silent for a few seconds while quickly organizing the situation in his mind.
'I used the other one on Ravel...'
His gaze slowly lowered back toward Selene.
'And even using two pieces on a single reincarnation would already be absurd...'
Then an idea appeared.
His crimson eyes narrowed slightly.
'...Wait.'
Selene partially opened her eyes after noticing the change in his expression.
"What is it...?"
Gasper didn't answer immediately.
He simply moved closer to the couch before gently holding the side of her face.
Selene's eyes widened slightly.
"G-Gasper...?"
And then—
CRRK.
His fangs pierced her neck without warning.
"AH—?!"
Selene's body froze instantly as she felt the deep bite in her neck. Demonic energy immediately began drawing out her blood along with the enormous amount of magic mixed within it.
Rias widened her eyes at the sight.
"Gasper!" She quickly stepped toward him. "What are you doing?!"
Selene's body began trembling involuntarily as her blood was drained. The sensation was far too strange because along with her blood, it felt like part of her strength was also being pulled away.
"Ahh... n-no..."
Her breathing gradually became unstable while her fingers tightened around the couch.
"You didn't need to do this..." Rias still looked surprised. "Besides, you can drink my blood!"
Gasper completely ignored the complaint while continuing to drain her blood in silence.
The overwhelming amount of magic inside Selene's body began decreasing rapidly as he consumed her magically infused blood directly.
Her eyes slowly lost focus.
Her body grew weaker.
Until—
She completely blacked out.
Rias watched for several seconds before finally realizing what he was doing.
"...You're not drinking because you're hungry."
Gasper finally pulled away from her neck while small fang marks remained visible on her skin.
"No." He casually wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. "I only consumed her magical blood to weaken her body."
Rias blinked several times before finally smiling.
"You're really smart, Gasper-kun." Her expression softened immediately. "Just what I'd expect from my boyfriend."
Demonic energy began circulating around the Evil Piece again shortly afterward.
This time the flow happened without resistance.
SHHHHH.
The Bishop Piece completely entered Selene's body while demonic energy slowly spread through her veins. The magical power surrounding her body gradually began to change as the reincarnation was finally accepted.
Rias watched the entire process in silence until the energy completely stabilized.
"It worked..."
Gasper slowly exhaled while observing Selene's unconscious body on the couch.
"Now I have two Bishops." His gaze briefly passed over the sleeping girl. "Ravel and Selene."
"Yes..." Rias replied shortly afterward, though she still looked concerned. "But what about her blood? You drank a huge amount."
Gasper remained silent for a few seconds while analyzing his own body.
"It's fine." He answered calmly. "Your blood and Akeno's still contain more magic than hers."
He rested a hand on the back of the couch while continuing to observe Selene.
"Even after drinking that much, all it did was fill me up."
His crimson eyes met Rias's a moment later.
"And I don't feel any negative effects."
Rias slowly exhaled afterward, clearly relieved by the answer.
"That's great, Gasper-kun."
She looked back at Selene lying unconscious on the couch while organizing her thoughts.
"She lost a lot of blood..." Rias spoke more quietly this time. "Won't that cause problems?"
"No." Gasper lightly shook his head while looking at Selene. "She's not just a demigoddess anymore."
His gaze slowly lowered toward his new Bishop.
"She's also a devil."
Demonic energy still circulated slowly through her body while the adaptation process continued naturally.
"She'll recover quickly." Gasper kept his calm tone. "I think we should just let her rest."
Rias nodded lightly before shifting her attention to something much more important.
"Now we still have to deal with the Fallen Angels." Her expression became serious. "And those two idiot exorcists."
Gasper almost laughed when he heard that coming from her.
"Did you get the address?"
"Yes." Rias answered immediately. "An abandoned house here in Kuoh."
She stepped away from the desk right afterward.
"But this time we're all going together." Her tone became firm. "As a peerage."
Gasper remained silent for a second before eventually agreeing.
"...You're right."
Rias slightly raised an eyebrow.
"It's a miracle you admitted that so quickly."
"I neglected Akeno during this situation." Gasper slipped a hand into his pocket while slowly exhaling. "She's upset with me."
"She definitely is."
Rias's immediate response caught him off guard far too quickly.
Gasper slowly turned toward her while trying to understand that.
'...She's taking Akeno's side on this?'
The surprise was obvious on his face, and Rias noticed it immediately.
But deep down she understood exactly why she reacted that way.
She was Gasper's girlfriend.
But Akeno was still her best friend.
And as selfish and jealous as she could sometimes be, Rias also wanted to see Akeno happy.
Especially now that she could see her feelings becoming more and more genuine.
"Don't make that face." Rias crossed her arms while hiding part of her embarrassment. "She was worried about you."
Gasper ended up smiling slightly after hearing that.
"I understand."
Rias looked away for a moment before walking toward the office door.
"Let's gather the others." Her hand grabbed the doorknob. "And then we'll attack their hideout."
Gasper followed right behind her without any complaints this time.
And honestly...
Part of his attention inevitably drifted toward the movement of Rias's body walking in front of him as they left the office together.
'...It's really impossible to stay focused around her.'
The office door slowly closed behind them while Selene remained unconscious on the couch, officially beginning her new life as a devil.
