"Wrong?" Alex asked. "Are you saying it didn't happen? Are you telling me that your hand didn't touch my holy sword? Are you calling me a liar?"
"Yes! I mean... No!" Juliana stammered. She was caught in a trap! "I mean... it's not what you make it sound like! It wasn't romantic!"
Lloyd pulled himself up from the floor. He grabbed the edge of the table with trembling hands. He adjusted his crooked glasses.
"J-Juliana..." Lloyd whispered, his voice sounding like a ghost. "Tell me... tell me the truth. Did you... did you really grab it?"
Juliana looked at her boyfriend. She saw his broken heart. She wanted to lie! She wanted to say "No, never!"
But Juliana was a knight! She had a code of honor! She couldn't tell a direct lie!
"I..." Juliana bit her lip. She looked at Alex, then at Lloyd. "I... yes. I did touch it. But Alex made me do it!"
