Chapter 379 - Chapter 365 I'm counting on you

Rikka remembered the words of the Akashic Record: Your greatest advantage is 'Life that lives in the present.' Your life is the key to the ending you desire.

"—I understand! Leave it to me! I have plenty I want to say to him anyway!"

"I'm counting on you. And afterward, I'll leave the return trip to you, Gil. With you there, I won't have a single worry about them making it back to Chaldea."

Roman looked at the King with absolute trust. "Bring them back safe. Please, King."

"Consider it done. Sacrifices have no place in a battle of mine."

The two men exchanged a firm nod.

The stage was set. Every piece was on the board. This was the story of reclaiming every stolen future.

"Then—let us begin our final battle. The final operation of the Grand Order." Olga Marie gave the signal. "A plan to commit genocide against the Primates, meticulously crafted since the day Solomon died. Without anyone knowing, we were all being murdered by Goetia. —Today, we take it all back."

She raised her voice, her words ringing with the weight of their long journey.

"We will defeat Goetia and seize our future! We will hold our tomorrow in our own hands! We'll show him that his 'perfect theory' will burn away into nothing, unobserved by anyone! Now, move out! Toward our future—don't you dare stop!!"

""""UNDERSTOOD!!""""

"Everyone, into the coffins. …I'll be waiting. For the moment we can all look at each other and laugh again."

"Yeah! Fujimaru Rikka, heading out!" Rikka traced a circle in the air with her blade, Yasutsuna, as the Evil Dragon Armor materialized around her.

"Mash Kyrielight! We will reclaim the future!"

And then—

"Be careful, Gil. Please… come back safe."

Gilgamesh responded to Olga's plea by gently patting her head.

"It is impossible for me to break my word. Leave it to me. You should just focus on enjoying a cup of coffee while you wait."

"Gil…"

"Do not look so worried. Defeat is a concept that does not apply to me. And do you know why?"

Olga smiled through her nerves. "Because you're… Class Gorgeous, the King of High Spirits… right?"

Gilgamesh laughed, satisfied. "Exactly. Now, let us bring your journey to its flawless conclusion!"

—Yes! Let's go, Fou!

(I won't let anyone die. That's why we're here!)

The coffins hissed shut. The Rayshift began.

"Heroic King Gilgamesh! I am coming to devastate! Those who block my path shall be gouged, pierced, and trampled into the dust—!"

The Time Temple: Solomon

"—! Rayshift successful!"

[So this is… the Time Temple, Solomon…]

A micro-scale universe. The fortress of a Beast, comprised of a single, colossal cell.

"You're awake? Good. Now we can begin this fight in earnest."

Standing beside Rikka and Mash was the King, glowing with a golden radiance that seemed to mock the horrific atmosphere of the Beast's domain. Facing them was a man glaring back with bitter hatred.

"Lev… no, Flauros!"

"It's been a while, you blind fool," Gilgamesh sneered at the Demon God. "But it's too late for words."

He slowly raised his right hand.

"Our purpose here is the extermination of the maggot sitting on your throne, the reclamation of our stolen future—and the judgment of you wretches for daring to trample upon my garden."

Lev shrieked, his form twisting into a massive Demon Pillar as he lunged—

"Haaah!" Mash slammed her shield down, bracing against the impact.

[ZEYAAAAAAH!!]

Rikka's massive Zanbato hummed through the air, cleaving the Demon Pillar clean in half.

"Repent for your folly. Grovel and bow your heads. Your regrets and your hatred… they vanish here and now."

As if signaling the start of the end, the King snapped his fingers.

Snap.

The space behind him began to ripple.
