Chapter 111 - Chapter 111: Invasion of the Third World!

The report finally came to an end.

One by one, people left the office, their footsteps echoing softly down the corridor.

Since tomorrow was the weekend, many of them planned to head home and spend some rare free time with their families.

But for him

For reasons unknown even to himself

A crucial task still awaited completion.

Naturally, it involved the Multiverse Dungeons.

Originally, he had been filled with anticipation.

With Demon Slayer World already underway, he assumed reaching 10% world resolution would be fast and effortless.

After all, sending in multiple teams at once didn't force newcomers to act recklessly.

Yet reality proved him wrong.

The first world to reach the milestone wasn't Demon Slayer at all—

It was Jackie Chan Adventures.

[Ding! The resolution of Jackie Chan Adventures World has reached 10%.

The gate to the world has officially opened.

You have obtained permission to invade this world.]

In comparison, Demon Slayer World had only reached 7%.

The reason was simple.

That team was led by two seasoned veterans—Kocho Shinobu and Kanroji Mitsuri.

With them in command, the rest of the group avoided countless fatal mistakes.

A blessing in disguise.

Unfortunately, life hadn't been nearly as forgiving for Jackie Chan's group.

Hak Foo chose not to cooperate at all.

From start to finish, his sole objective was clear—

Defeat Jackie Chan.

The result?

His stubborn recklessness burned through his resurrection limits far too early, leaving him stranded in the World of Death.

Even then, he refused to behave.

He ran around wildly, shouting nonstop.

"Let me out! Let me out!"

"This guy really has no basic attacks—only ultimates," he muttered, pressing a hand to his forehead.

"…How is someone this strange even real?"

Looking back at Jackie and the others—

They were, without question, cut from the same cloth as Hak Foo.

Exactly the same type of people.

A group of living disasters.

Every now and then, they somehow managed to make everything worse.

Chaos always followed.

Especially the so-called mighty warrior, who regularly lost focus and smashed into his own teammates, dragging down the entire team's efficiency.

Yami Tsukishiro couldn't even muster the interest to scold him.

He simply carved a massive "Slave" mark onto the man's shoulder—

Then resurrected him.

Strange, intricate runes spread across the man's muscular body, forming eerie silver streaks that pulsed faintly with power.

Just recalling the scene made Yami feel physically uncomfortable.

After some thought, he added a new rule to the outer city:

All slaves must work at least sixteen hours per day.

That still left eight hours of rest.

A remarkably humane arrangement.

By now, the Multiverse Dungeons had long since earned labels like:

Dictatorship.

Cannibalism.

Double standards.

Nowhere was that atmosphere more obvious than the outer cities and mining zones.

And Yami Tsukishiro embraced those double standards without restraint.

As a slave owner, he had preferences.

Clear ones.

Especially when it came to beautiful female slaves.

He admitted it openly.

"I like it," he said flatly.

"I am the master of this world. I am the master of my slaves. I do what I want."

Rubbing his temples, he exhaled softly.

"Ella. Shion. Kaen."

Three dazzling flashes of light erupted.

Moments later, three figures descended like meteors, landing between the thrones.

They knelt on one knee in perfect unison.

"Master."

Yami Tsukishiro examined them, satisfied by their sharp presence.

Then he raised his arm and issued his command without hesitation.

"Mobilize the armies."

His voice rang through the hall.

"Set your target."

"We invade a new world."

"What… just happened?"

Kocho Kanae looked around in confusion, unease stirring in her chest.

Everyone had been abruptly teleported to a massive square.

She remembered it clearly.

Not long ago, she had been fighting alongside Shinobu and the others on the fifth floor frontline of the dungeon.

Now—

The air itself felt heavy.

Oppressive.

Something terrible was coming.

As if answering that thought, a familiar giant light curtain unfolded before their eyes.

It appeared simultaneously across the outer city and the mining zones.

Fear spread instantly.

Akame clenched her fists, cold sweat forming on her palms as she silently prayed.

Please… not our world.

Seconds passed.

Finally, the image sharpened.

A brightly lit, bustling metropolis filled the screen.

Relief washed over Kocho Shinobu and Akame.

There were no such buildings in their world.

But Viper and Jade Chan went pale.

"…Viper," Jade whispered.

"That's… San Francisco."

Her voice trembled.

"…Yeah."

Viper nodded grimly.

The day had finally arrived.

"What's wrong with everyone?"

Nezuko Kamado asked softly, unable to understand the sudden tension.

Shinobu sighed.

"This means another world is about to be invaded."

"Invaded…?"

Tsuyuri Kanao repeated quietly, her brows knitting together.

Kanroji Mitsuri glanced toward the grim-faced Saya Takagi and the others and spoke in a low voice.

"The Dungeon Master previously sent an undead army into their world."

Mamako stiffened.

"What… happens to a world that gets invaded?"

Shinobu's expression darkened.

"That world will be devoured."

Her voice was heavy.

"All life across the entire planet will become slaves of the Multiverse Dungeons."

"…!"

Aoi Kanzaki covered her mouth in horror.

"Then… will our world end up the same way?"

Shinobu shook her head gently.

"It's unclear. But at least—this time—it isn't our world."

Her gaze shifted to Viper and Jade.

Both looked tense, desperate to send the warning back.

The invasion had begun.

And there was no turning back.

But to their disappointment—

Yami Tsukishiro did not appear this time.

At that very moment—

The image within the light curtain suddenly shifted.

Above San Francisco, the sky split apart.

A colossal crimson world gate descended from the heavens, blotting out the clouds as if the sky itself were being swallowed.

Jade suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure standing atop a distant building and immediately raised her hand.

"Viper, look! That's Uncle and the others!"

"…Jackie!"

Viper saw them as well.

Jackie Chan, Uncle Chan, Tohru, and El Toro Fuerte fell from the sky almost simultaneously.

According to the rules of the World Invasion Dungeon, adventurers were normally given a choice.

But this time—

Jade and Viper, who were in the Inner City, were not restrained at all.

When the choice was offered, everyone in the Lower City was given the chance to resist the invasion.

Everyone—

Except Hak Foo.

He refused without hesitation.

As long as he could defeat Jackie Chan, he didn't care about becoming a slave.

He ignored everything else and charged straight back into the underground city.

"The voice said our world was under attack," Jackie said, still struggling to process what was happening.

"I chose to protect it, and then… what does this even mean?"

Uncle Chan shouted urgently,

"Aiyaa! The answer is in the sky, Jackie! A great calamity has descended upon the world!"

Jackie hurriedly looked up.

Blood-red clouds churned violently, overlapping and rolling like living flesh.

Layer upon layer of ripples spread outward, resembling massive veins pulsing with each heartbeat.

Above them, a mysterious portal—like the Eye of an Abyss—quietly gazed down upon the thriving world below.

Every time Jackie looked at that gate, he could feel it.

A terrifying devouring desire.

As if the entire world were prey.

For a moment—

Tohru forced himself to suppress his fear and asked with a trembling voice,

"Uncle… can magic be used to stop this?"

Uncle Chan gave a bitter smile and slowly shook his head.

"Magic… at least for now, Uncle cannot do anything."

He often said magic must fight magic.

But now, there was no trace of magic to be found.

How could he use it to fight back?

"Let's go to Section 13!"

Jackie clenched his fists.

"That's the only place left. If the Talismans are there, we might still have a chance!"

Between the Thrones

Ella, dressed in a gorgeous crimson gown, sat casually on the armrest of the throne.

Shion and Kaen knelt beneath it, leaning close against Yami Tsukishiro's legs.

They were merely watching.

Watching the prey struggle.

Kaen raised her head, confusion in her eyes.

"Master… why don't we attack directly? With your strength, this world would fall instantly."

Yami Tsukishiro smiled faintly.

That smile carried a cold, merciless cruelty.

He gently stroked Kaen's hair and spoke softly,

"True despair is not sudden destruction."

"It is when people rise up to resist… only to realize they are staring into a bottomless abyss."

"A deeper, inescapable despair."

As he spoke, his hand wandered idly along Ella's body.

His gaze never wavered, calmly observing Jackie Chan and the others from afar.

He wanted to see—

What choices they would make.

And whether they would differ from those made in the Apocalypse World.

Section 13

After a grueling journey through ruined streets and panicked crowds—

Jackie Chan and his group finally arrived at the place known as the safest zone.

Section 13.

But the moment they arrived—

Everyone froze.

"…Section 13 is gone?"

Jackie's eyes trembled violently.

He stared ahead in disbelief.

Where Section 13 should have stood, there was now only a massive fissure sealed off by emergency barricades.

Beneath that crack—

What was once the safest district had completely vanished.

El Toro Fuerte frowned deeply.

"It looks like Section 13 was attacked… and destroyed."

His voice carried shock and confusion.

No one spoke.

An indescribable fear crept into everyone's hearts.

Even this supposed sanctuary had not escaped disaster.

"Captain Black disappeared—along with the Talismans!"

For the first time, panic showed clearly on Jackie Chan's face.

If the monsters of the dungeon truly descended upon their world—

Without the Talismans—

With only their own strength—

Did they really stand a chance?

"Are we… just going to watch our world be invaded?"

Jackie muttered quietly.

Just as the atmosphere became suffocating—

Uncle Chan suddenly spoke.

"Jackie…"

"Perhaps there is another method."

"It may not be ideal…"

"But it is worth trying."
