As the days and years passed by.
Alexis Lewis began to realize her beauty would inevitably fade one day.
Recently, due to Stanley Keating's age, their intimate moments had become infrequent.
This filled her with a sense of crisis.
Especially when she saw Stanley Keating plotting and planning for Kane Keating's future.
She feared that Stanley Keating would allocate all his resources to Kane, leaving her own son without a promising future.
In this warped mindset.
Alexis decided to take action against Kane.
But since Kane was Stanley Keating's son, hiring someone to kill him or using some underhanded means might be discovered by Stanley, backfiring and ruining her instead.
After much contemplation.
She thought of smearing Kane's reputation.
Using Courtney Childers' death to prompt the police to investigate Kane, cementing his murder charges, so he could never recover.
Moreover.
This setup would hardly lead anyone to think it was a false accusation.
