The old man laughed heartily and said, "Youngster, it's not that my demands are low, but that yours are high. Sometimes, when you lower your demands, life becomes joyful."
As they talked.
The waiter had already brought out the noodles.
Dirk Carter said, "Old man, you enjoy your meal, we'll be heading off now."
Just as they prepared to leave.
The old man said, "No rush, no rush. After I finish eating, I need to go to Dragon's Arch Bridge. It's inconvenient to get there by bus; can you drive me?"
Quite direct indeed.
Dragon's Arch Bridge is at least half an hour's drive from where they were eating.
Dirk Carter was about to politely decline.
Dorothy Zechariah grasped his hand and said, "Alright, old man, take your time eating, and after we're done, we'll drive you."
Then, she said to Dirk Carter, "You're not starting work until three in the afternoon, there's still time."
