" I guess that you like misty and foggy weather, more than the usual sunny ones"
" You can say so, I read it in a book as when the cloud becomes one with the earth a misty beauty is formed. Well I think they forgot to talk about the moisture and water cycle which are clearly more responsible, poor cloud! "
Miss Mary raised an eye brow her arms crossed " So the weatherweather's poetic as well as scientific "
" You can say so miss! " A bright smile sparked on his face.
" Hey Erebus what are you doing , come here we are having a discussion about who is going to be the next member of the orphanage " A bright boy who was seemingly older than Ace, red hair and brown eyes came looking for Ace.
" Hey Rem I had some other work" Rem holding his hand and taking him to his group for the conversation.
" Ya! Ya! just come with me, the whole group is having a serious conversation about the new kid who would be joining the orphanage soon! "
" Okay everyone ,so Erebus is here, let's go to the dinning room to plan about our welcome part for our new member"
The dinning was filled by 5 children, seated at chairs Ok, we would divide all the members in groups of two and three, the first group would consist of me, Erebus and Lily, we would be handling the decoration of the dorm , the other group Max and Sarah would doing the dinning "
" Rem, should we make a banner for the new kid , saying welcome home! I am so excited to see him or her "a bright girl with blonde hair asked Rem.
" You can do that but don't write the letters yourself, everyone knows you suck at writing" .
" Hey I can write properly, I just need some practice " The girl stamps her foot
" Yeah, yeah you know that time when I asked her for lunch,through a note but she was confused in the letter l and p and ended up punching me"one of the boy from the group mustered.
Hey! Your handwriting wasn't good Max,it wasn't my fault and I apologised to you later "
" Enough of the talking guys, let's get back to work " Rem smiled towards the other kids.
The decorations and arrangements had begun Ace, Lily and Rem handled
the decorations for the dorm room.
Max and Sara were assigned for the arrangement of the dinning room.
Dinning Room:
" Hey Max what do you think, what would the new kid be like "Sara blowing the balloon for decoration.
" I don't have any idea about it Sarah ( there was a slight pause)
" But I think I overheard Miss Mary talking about the kid's favourite thing to do, which was apparently painting "
" Oh! Is it so, I bet he is a very interesting person, do you remember the last time we had a new child at the orphanage? "
Max rolled his eyes " it was Erebus, "
Sarah's eyes gleamed
'I still remember how we used to play with him all day and use to braid his long hair'
" Don't you want another little brother like Ace or Rem "
" I guess so, you know I like Ace, he is my little brother but I think even if the person is not like Ace or not like us, he is still family "
" Yes he is still family, but there is nothing wrong in dreaming about the best possible outcome "
Dorm room:
" Ace pass me the colour pencil, we just need to colour this letters now, and we are all set for the welcome party"
Ace goes to the table and grabs the box of colour pencils.
" Here, let's wrap this up smoothly "
" Hey Ace I have kind of a question for you, do you perhaps not like the joining of this new person at the orphanage "
"No! Why would you think that! "
" No! It is just that, every day you are very enthusiastic, about decorations, festivals, celebrations and even colouring, painting but at this welcome celebration it is like you don't want to get too involved "
" Is it because, you think that after the new boy or girl arrives you would not have the same amount of attention you get from everyone "
" No, not at all Rem ( huff) , I am not a child anymore I am fourteen,these types of things don't affect me "Ace sits down at his chair.
"If talking seriously, it is the complete opposite of that, I have never talked to any other person besides the kid of the orphanage and Miss Mary and bluntly speaking I don't know,how to talk to other people "
" So I am kind of very nervous about the person arriving, what if he doesn't like me! "
A hand rested at Ace's shoulder ,Lily had heard the whole conversation " Aw! That is what we call being shy dumbo! "
" And there is nothing wrong by it, you just have to treat the new person as a friend or moreover like you treat us, and everything would be fine "
" Listen to her advice Ace because even Lily gives good advices sometimes "
" Sometimes? I am pretty good at giving advices, not like a certain someone who only knows how to make fun! "
" Yeah I like doing fun stuffs and what is wrong with that! "
A smile sparks at Aces face as he sees both of them quarreling, he slowly whispers " Huh, family! "
Finally the time had come, 12 struck the clock ,noon was approaching, the misty fog was finally lifting from the place
Everyone was ready to welcome the new kid
" The wait is over everybody!" Miss Mary's voice was distinct and clear "
" Meet your new friend " Everyone was trying to hear the footsteps of the person but could only hear the rolling of wheels, as if it were the sound of a wheelchair.
Yes, it was indeed a wheelchair .
Miss Mary entered the dorm pushing the wheel chair of a frail boy, with long hair and a thin body, he looked simple but his clothes were neat, combed hair, freckes in his face, the visual representation of an average boy, but his smile was the one that wasn't the average.
The noise of the wheelchair had calmed down as if saying that it had finally reached its destination.
Sarah had a glance upon him " Well, he is a little different than what I imagined!
