Chapter 16 - 16. Magical Martial Arts

"Alan! I support your deal with Instructor Carter!"

Kelly said cheerfully to her brother.

"You're so thoughtful, even making me a bottle of perfume. I'm so touched! Come here, give me a kiss!"

She then opened her arms to her brother, pursed her lips, and gestured for a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

The girl's full breasts and pouty lips seamlessly blended the two supposedly opposing qualities of "sensuality" and "innocence."

Alan's heart trembled as he recalled the experience in meditation. He quickly avoided his sister's burning gaze.

"Stop it, Kelly! I'm not a child anymore!"

"Tsk... You're just a brat, why are you pretending?"

Kelly curled her lips in disdain, reaching out to caress her brother's face with unbridled caress before letting him go, satisfied. "You stinky little brother! I want two more bottles of this perfume!"

"As for the wine, go get it from Dad!"

...

Two weeks later.

A weekend afternoon.

The quiet campus was deserted.

The autumn wind blew, and withered yellow leaves tumbled across the ground.

In the gymnasium, a muscular young man, built with a sturdy build, was sweating profusely, honing his martial arts skills.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Shirtless, Allen expertly punched the sandbag, making a muffled sound.

Like the rhythmic beat of a drum.

Instructor Carter's specially made sandbag, the leather was twice as thick.

The bag was half filled with iron sand and half with soybeans.

"Ha—hey!"

Alan followed Instructor Carter's instructions, exerting force from his hips and exhaling with a loud cry as he fiercely threw a punch forward!

Magic power transformed into a supernatural force, channeling forward along his arm.

Muscles in his arm expanded and contracted violently, like rolling waves, advancing layer by layer!

The suddenly swollen muscles resembled bronze mountains.

Sweat that had been clinging to his skin was ejected by the rapidly deforming muscles.

Beads of sweat splattered, shimmering and shattering.

In the sunlight filtering through the window, they transformed into a crescent of neon.

All his strength finally converged into his fist, pouring into the sandbag, erupting violently.

Puff!

The sand bowl-sized fist slammed heavily into the sandbag.

The sandbag, struck hard, swung back abruptly.

It flew to an angle almost parallel to the ground, dissipating the punch's force and accelerating back.

Alan took a firm stance, his eyes fixed on the sandbag.

Until the sandbag was about to touch the tip of his nose.

With a shake of his shoulders, his figure suddenly vanished!

The sandbag passed through the afterimage left by Allen and continued to swing unimpeded.

At the same time, Allen had moved horizontally three meters away.

Letting out a slow breath, Allen nodded in satisfaction.

Two weeks of arduous training had paid off.

That "Hound Step" move had been executed perfectly.

Hound Step, a Level 1 magical martial art.

It consumes one point of magic power to activate, and moves up to three meters at the maximum speed a person's physique can withstand.

When Allen used this move, his speed was so fast that it was beyond the limits of human vision.

It looked like teleportation!

Two hours of intense martial arts training had exhausted both his physical strength and his magical powers.

Alan calmed his rapid breathing and untied the sandbag.

Inside the leather bag was another smaller leather bag.

The soybeans between the two layers of leather had mostly shattered into powder.

Alan untied the smaller leather bag and looked down.

Almost a third of the soybeans inside had also shattered.

Inside the smaller leather bag was another smaller leather bag.

Opening it, he poured out the soybeans.

Only one-sixth of the beans were completely shattered.

The rest of the beans were mostly intact.

This nesting doll-like sandbag was specially made by Instructor Carter, specifically for practicing "Bone-Piercing Strength."

The first-level martial art, "Bone-piercing Power," consumes 1 point of magic power and continuously enhances the power of punches and kicks for 1 minute.

During this period, the power of the punch automatically penetrates armor and directly impacts the enemy's body, causing internal damage.

The more magic power you inject when unleashing "Bone-piercing Power," the greater the armor-piercing effect.

Spending 1 point of magic power will penetrate level 1 armor, and so on.

This martial art is best used against enemies wearing heavy armor.

Or monsters with naturally armored bodies like scales, tortoise shells, or spongy tissue.

The nesting doll-shaped sandbag was designed to test the power of "Bone-piercing Power."

Alan's punch, capable of penetrating three layers of leather and the medium of sand, shattering a soybean hidden within the sandbag, is a testament to his mastery of "Bone-piercing Power."

This punch landed on an ordinary person.

There was only a single bruise on the surface of his skin, seemingly minor injuries.

However, his internal organs and bones had already been severely damaged without him noticing.

He would die within three days of returning home, vomiting blood!

The power of "Bone-Piercing Strength" and "Hound Step" far exceeded Allen's expectations.

The bottle of fine wine he gave to Instructor Carter was well worth the price!

A mere first-level magical martial art possessed such formidable power. How much more powerful would higher-level martial arts be?

Alan couldn't imagine.

After two weeks of diligent martial arts training, the greatest gain was actually reflected in his mindset.

Now, Allen no longer dwelled on his inability to awaken his spells.

Ogre bloodlines were indeed not good at spellcasting.

But they possessed a unique talent for martial arts!

In fact, this is the bread and butter of "violent sorcerers."

Ogres, minotaurs, centaurs, orcs...

The reason this violent sorcerer bloodline has survived to this day, surviving spellcasting bloodlines, is entirely due to their martial prowess.

Alan clenched his fists, his thick knuckles crackling.

He was confident that with these iron fists, he could carve out a niche for himself!

After a shower in the gymnasium bathroom, Alan donned his school uniform and walked home with his shirt unbuttoned.

The late autumn breeze blew against his face, bringing a particularly cool coolness.

The boy's damp, flaxen short hair reflected a brilliant halo.

Pedestrians, especially young women and girls, couldn't help but steal a glance at the tall, muscular boy's chest as they passed him.

His powerful chest muscles left a deep impression on them.

As soon as he reached the door of his tavern, Alan stopped.

He frowned slightly.

An argument erupted from the tavern.

He felt the side pocket of his schoolbag.

The dagger was still there, as was the bag of lime.

The lime had even been laced with a highly toxic seasoning.

Alan pushed open the door and walked slowly into the tavern.

A man dressed like an adventurer, wearing leather armor and a horned helmet, his eyes red from drunkenness, was banging the table and roaring.

Alan had never seen this man before; he must be from out of town.

He hoped he wasn't a kidnapper sent by the Amazing Circus to cause trouble.

A group of regulars gathered around, watching the scene. Most of them were furious, accusing the drunk of being a hooligan and shameless.

My father wore a wry smile and apologized to the drunk with a swollen cheek.

Kelly stood behind her father, clutching her apron tightly with both hands, her pretty face etched with rage.

What was going on?

Alan knew without asking.

It must have been that drunk, acting crazy, trying to tease Kelly.

Then, in a fit of rage, Kelly slapped him across the face, leaving half his cheek swollen like a pig's head.
