His voice carried suppressed fury.
"With your attitude just now, you expect Lana to return? That's a pipe dream!"
The moment Conrad spoke those words, even Phillips could no longer argue back immediately.
Finally, Conrad took a deep breath before speaking tiredly. "You know what?"
His expression turned cold once again. "I don't want to continue this discussion anymore."
He grabbed his coat directly.
"If all of you truly believe Thessy matters more than Lana, then continue thinking that way."
Then he immediately turned and walked toward the door. However, before leaving completely, he suddenly stopped.
One final warning escaped his lips.
"Do not tell Thessy that you already know the truth."
Everyone instinctively looked toward him.
"Otherwise," Conrad continued coldly, "she may do something drastic."
His eyes darkened slightly afterward.
"And in the end… the person who will get hurt the most will still be Lana."
