Euclid's eyes glittered with icy malice, his aura sharp enough to slice the air. Tenra Kamiyo dared to look down on him? That arrogant bastard—
Rizevim, floating at a safe distance, cackled like a goblin. "That's it, Euclid-kun! Show that Red Emperor brat what death looks like!"
Euclid moved. Fast—so fast it seemed to tear a hole in reality. In the blink of an eye, he was right in front of Tenra.
"Die!"
His fist, charged with every ounce of his power and the full force of Red Emperor's Armor, came down in a blur. That punch could have shattered mountains.
BOOM!
A shockwave ripped through the air, flames erupting skyward, the blast painting the night white.
But—
"Impossible!"
Tenra caught the blow with one hand, barely flinching. Euclid stared, eyes wide as if he'd seen a ghost.
"I told you, I was just messing around before. Did you really think you were hot stuff?"
Tenra grinned, then slammed a fist into Euclid's gut with lightning speed.
Crimson armor shattered. Euclid's eyes bulged; blood spurted from his mouth.
"No… Impossible… Impossible…"
He couldn't process it. One half-serious punch from Tenra, and he was finished.
Tenra looked down at him coldly. "You're Euclid, right? You said your power rivals your sister Grayfia?"
He shook his head, lips curled in a smirk. "No, no, no. You're still leagues behind Grayfia."
Tenra's fist shot out again, sending Euclid flying like a meteor. He crashed through a palace below, reducing it to rubble.
If Tenra had wanted, that punch would have killed Euclid. But for Grayfia's sake—her little brother, after all—he let him live.
Rizevim sighed, half amused, half resigned. "Well, Euclid-kun lost. But against that Red Emperor monster, what can you do?"
He shrugged. "No reason to stick around. Time to pull out."
With a wave, Rizevim fired several arrows of light—not at Tenra or the girls, but at the four giant swords pinning the Evil Dragon that had once been Marius. The arrows didn't pack much punch, but they carried Rizevim's Sacred Gear nullification power. The moment they touched, the swords crumbled to dust.
"Marius-kun, cover our retreat."
Rizevim called out, voice almost polite. Then he grinned at Tenra. "Red Emperor, until next time!"
He cackled, already moving to escape.
Tenra's wings flared wide. No way he was letting Rizevim slip away.
But the newly freed Evil Dragon roared, blocking Tenra's path and unleashing a torrent of flames.
Tosca quickly threw up a barrier for her sisters. Tenra unleashed a wave of spiritual energy, blowing the firestorm apart.
And then it got worse. Hundreds of other Evil Dragons swarmed in from every direction, howling as they attacked.
"Out of my way!"
Tenra smashed several dragons into pulp, but by the time he broke through the chaos, Rizevim, Euclid, and Lilith were gone. Even the massive dragon that was once Marius had vanished into the night sky.
He knew it wasn't time to finish Rizevim yet, but watching him slip away still stung. Tenra's gaze shifted to the vampires-turned-dragons, his eyes cold.
"Kill them all. Leave no survivors."
"Yes!" Yubelluna and the girls leapt into action. Tenra dismissed his armor, a longsword forming in his hand.
Let their blood cool his temper.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Roars, explosions, screams—shattered bodies and severed limbs rained from above.
It didn't take long. Within minutes, Tenra and the girls had wiped out every last mass-produced Evil Dragon in sight.
The royal palace was a wreck, corpses everywhere. The city itself was rubble, the air thick with the sound of distant crying.
Tepes's vampires were finished. But Tenra felt no pity. They'd brought this on themselves.
"Where did the rest of the dragons go?"
He scanned the ruined city. Tens of thousands of vampires had been turned into dragons, but aside from the few hundred he'd just slaughtered, the rest were gone.
Minami, his ever-watchful Bishop, reported, "Rizevim took some. The others are headed for Carmilla's territory."
Tenra gave a crooked smile. "So Queen Carmilla's in for a rough night. Not my problem."
He turned to the girls. "Let's head back."
"Yes!"
Meanwhile, in Carmilla's territory—
Elmenhilde sat collapsed on the ground, eyes hollow as she watched dragons rain from the sky, tearing through towns and massacring civilians.
Her people screamed and fled. Soldiers fought desperately. Even the Queen and the elders were out, battling the chaos.
But there were too many enemies, each one a monster of destruction. Even if they survived, their country would be left in ruins.
A female vampire knelt beside her. "Lady Elmenhilde, please—pull yourself together! We need you. Lead us. Help us fight!"
Elmenhilde trembled, then nodded, resolve flashing in her eyes.
"You're right. Now's not the time to despair. Everyone, fight with me!"
"Yes, Lady Elmenhilde!"
Tenra and the girls returned to the embassy, finding the ground littered with dragon corpses—more had attacked while they were gone, but Gasper and Valerie were safe.
Their business here was done. Rizevim had taken a Holy Grail; there was no reason to stay.
The sky was dark, the city quiet. After the night's battle, Tenra decided they'd rest here and leave at dawn.
That night, in the bathroom—
"Are you done yet?!"
Grayfia knelt before Tenra, swallowing again, her stomach uncomfortably full. She glared up at him, cheeks flushed with shame and fury.
Tenra stroked her flawless face, grinning. "Grayfia, I spared your brother's life. You should be thanking me, don't you think?"
"I never asked you to spare him!" she spat through clenched teeth.
He chuckled, eyes gleaming with mischief. "Doesn't matter. I let him live, so you owe me—and you'll keep thanking me until I'm satisfied."
With a wicked smile, Tenra pressed her head down again…
